This is difficult, as I have never left a 1 star review. But I feel people need to be aware. I went to the doctor for a burning sensation in my chest. Of course, since he is gastroenterology, it has to be GERD. He put me on two months worth of acid blockers and said I should be fine. He also took away my daily aspirin because it upsets stomachs. That was my downfall. He did an upper GI, which showed nothing. Instead of looking deeper he let his diagnosis stand. I continued to have the same symptoms, and then they got worse. I called his office and got the machine. "We'll call you back". No they don't. I called again, still got the machine, left my number again, same result. I called again, actually got a person, that put me on with a PA. She gave me more acid blocker. Between the lousy customer service of his office staff, and his gross misdiagnosis, I can not in good conscience refer anyone to Dr. Cintron. This is difficult, as I have never left a 1 star review. Called during COVID pandemic to get details about making an appointment, was told to come into office. Went into office only to be told they would take my name and number then call me back regarding appointment. Two weeks later I received a call and was told to complete paperwork online then come into office to make $50 deposit. On second visit to office they tried to have me complete the same paperwork I completed online. I had to stand there and wait while they checked their email and the other system for my submissions then the processing. After this long winded process, which had me unnecessarily in their office twice during a pandemic, I was given an appointment about 5 weeks out. They likely mentioned requiring a COVID test prior to procedure then, however the preparation instructions for procedure did not mention a test requirement. Only mention of test was a tiny slip of paper to be taken to the lab. Prior to procedure I only reviewed two separate prep instructions I received -did not notice the prescription in the folder for a COVID test. Someone from the office called a few days prior to change my appointment, however no mention was made of COVID test. After reviewing instructions again I realized they did not even make clear whether the timing of preparations changed with the change of appointment. Called multiple times and had to leave voicemail. Showed up for my procedure and was told COVID test was required, procedure would not be done without it (even though I’m fully vaccinated for COVID) and I forfeited my $50 deposit. Both office associates were unprofessional in insisting they told me about requirement and it was posted in their office when I was in 5 weeks prior. One even held up instructions which clearly did not have COVID test requirement included as evidence. An acknowledgement that instructions were incomplete and reminder was not given when staff called prior to appointment should have led to a discussion to remedy the situation. Instead they were patronizing and refused to return deposit. Poor service is why locals tend to go off island for medical care. This practice has gained $50 from me in spite of poor service, however they will not get benefits of another visit by me or anyone related to me. My first visit was very good. Knowledgeable P/A polite and helpful. The ladies at the front desk will speak English to your face and then speak Spanish as if they are talking about you to your face. VERY RUDE. After my first visit I was told that the Dr. would call me. YEAH RIGHT! I have been trying to get this office to return my calls for weeks( 3 weeks to be exact). I have even went back into the office, and again they say they are going to call and NEVER do. It’s seems like they don’t care if you’re well, or not. It’s very disheartening because we don’t have very many choices when it comes to Drs on this island. I guess when they’re ready for another payment they will call me back. Great and friendly folks working here. Noticed limited staff working along with other places around the past year. Still making it work. I Recommend.

Had a great experience at my doctor visit with Dr. Cintrón. He was very attentive to all my concerns and explain everything thoroughly. The employees were very helpful as well. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

if i could give this doctor negative stars i would he don't care about you or anyone he only care about getting paid and looking at Brenda Vazquez and not care about the input of the patient or the family of the patient
