Dr. Ravi Ranjan

He is an amazing Dr. I really appreciate what he does to his patients. I strongly recommend all my family, friends and others to pay an attribute for his kindness

Long story but....This man and his staff are some of the worst medical professionals I have ever met with. My husband was taken by ambulance to the U hospital, where Dr.Ranjan was his doctor. They kept him for a few days and completely ignored our medical choice and sent him home on medication instead of doing the procedure that my husband chose, that they offered as an option. After sending him home his heart issues continued and he was hospitalized within 2 days of being discharged and the procedure we were offered was finally scheduled. They preformed the procedure and were unsuccessful. They gave him a doctors release and sent him home again on medication, telling us he was clear to work even after having PVC’s and Vtach 20 minutes before discharge. At this point we called Dr. Ranjan’s office and requested a referral to see a doctor that would truly advocate for my husband instead of his personal wallet. Dr.Ranjan had previously agreed my husband was ready for work (his associate even wrote his release, which we have) and after requesting the referral Dr.Ranjan REFUSED to finish filling out my husband’s work papers saying he no longer felt it was safe to return, but that they couldn’t revoke his original release to work. I have spent the last few days speaking with Dr.Ranjan’s staff; Katie Goodyear, Lora Stratton, and Laura Weber (who is the NP that informed us he wouldn’t be releasing him if we switched doctors). ALL of them told us they “lost” my husbands paperwork and can’t find anything on him. This man and his staff are crooks. Refusing a patient’s work release paperwork AFTER giving us a work release because we requested a referral, is a joke! We will NEVER recommend Dr.Ranjan nor will we return the the U of U hospital if this is how they treat their patients. We’ve contacted customer service and admintration and have gotten no where. At this point we’re looking into legal actions against him because it could cost my husband his job. Tomorrow, we will be contacting the Utah State Medical Board (/DOPL) to file our complaint.
