Dr. Ravi Prakash

Doctor is rough and doesn't listen to parent concerns at all. He rushes through the appointment as if he would rather be anywhere else. After you've been left to wait for his arrival for 20-40 minutes. Invalidates your concerns as a parent. Office staff behind the glass are very rude and nasty and seem to dislike their job completely. They have even been noted being rude and nasty to kids. Unfortunate because the nurse, Christy, is the only nice one worth dealing with. Would not recommend.

By far the worst pediatric office I've ever been to. The front desk staff is extremely rude and almost antagonistic on their responses. They filled out my son's paperwork incorrectly and despite only needing to correct 2 or 3 lines on the paperwork have yet to get it back to me and it's been over a week. This Dr also doubled my son's Adderall dosage as a way of assisting with weight loss which is extremely unethical and I'm pretty sure illegal. Tricare pretty much only gives us his office as an option for pediatric care or I would go somewhere else. I would rather low crawl through a mile of broken glass than have to deal with the people who are staffed here. By far the worst pediatric office I've ever been to. Our experience with Prakash & his front office staff has always been great. Prakash is a unique doctor, that has always been great with our kids. He has a personality, and can be quite humorous during the visits. Him and the staff have always been reassuring , and worked with us to ensure our kids received the care they’ve needed .

By far the worst doctor i ever seen misdiagnosed my kids with allergies when they really had a cold. Never again will be transferring to somewhere better!

Excellent Doctor had him for all my 5 of children.

BEWARE! Absolutely THE WORSE Pediatrician in Norwich. The front staff is FAR from friendly. Their demeanor and actions speak for themself, THEY HATE THEIR JOB! Please be sure you're comfortable advocating for your child. This whole office is phenomenal at making the parent feel like a low life, incapable, hypochondriac, anytime they have concerns. There is ZERO bedside manner. I agree that the doctor can be very rough and not at all calming or soothing to any kid as another reviewer stated. (I think thats HUGE in pediatrics) CCMC is AMAZING!!! PERIOD. If you have a background in medical, or have close family with a background in medical then, u might be ok, although, I personally STILL DO NOT recommend Dr. Prakash's office. The front staff is exceptionally rude by phone AND in person. They clearly couldn't be any happier to be doing their job and getting paid. Doctor is okay, though he is a bit cold and rough with infant patients as other reviewers have said. Thinking seriously about changing my child's doctor at this point. He was overly rough and did not even try to calm my w yr old son down didnt wait for me to calm him down. Never talked to him to tell him what was going on during the entire physical which he did mot even finish because he started getting rough. He snatched my toddler out of my hands and then put him on my lap and yanked off his pants to check his hernia. My son was screaming bloody murder and he was teying to squirm away the whole fime the doctor was quiet and pushed hard on his hernia because my son was wiggli bff sp much. Enough to where my tan child was red. I was mortified and told him to stop for a second so i could calm him down. He tried to check his hearing my grabbing my sons head and jamming the 50 yr old hearing thing into my sons ear clearly frustrated by him crying. I've never seen something like that in my whole life. Ive been to tons of doctors with my nieces and nephews my sons had a pediatrician before this one before we moved. And then as we leave i was told he didnt do the physical paper. Which is exactly why we were there! So he wasnt recording any of the results. Didnt even tell me if his hernia was healing or not. Oh and the needle they used for the vaccine ripped his skin because she wpuld npt let me hold him down.... extremely dissatisfied. This so called MD doesn't rate even 1 star, in my professional opinion. I am a RN Legal Nurse Consultant. My experience and clinical, legal knowledge spans over thirty years in our health care industry. If it weren't for my background, his incompetence and ineptness in caring for my 1 year old granddaughter could have had devestatng and catastrophic consequences for my daughter and son in law. My advocacy and consultation with an ER physician guided her parents to dedicated, experienced, and knowledgeable specialists in Hartford. Very friendly staff

Dr Prakash is an amazing doctor and he cares about each one of his patients. He is not the only one who makes this office so wonderful, the nurses here are just as amazing. They know everyone by name and genuinely care about everyone. Thank you guys for everything you do!

I took my children here for NINE years. Love the nurses and the office ladies however had a few issues with the Doc himself. With a very heavy heart I made the choice to take my kids somewhere else. No one in the office seemed to care one way or another. Sad considering my kids had gone there for so long however they were just another number.
