Randall J. Franiak

I was referred to Dr. Randall Franiak a few years ago to assist me with chronic back pain. He helped me to maintain my activities with injections for several years. As I aged the injections were not enough to treat my symptoms Recently, he suggested an Medtronic Neuro Stimulator implant. I was reluctant in the beginning. I didn't want to give in to loosing any form of control or independence. Dr. Franiak and I discussed my options. An appointment was scheduled to meet with someone from Medtronic. I even called Dr. Jill Donaldson for her thoughts since she performed spinal surgery in the past. I opted to do the surgery for the implant. Well, I'm 4 weeks post surgery and I'm doing well. Dr. Franiak and Melissa Franiak have helped me tremendously. I have chronic neck problems, and they have worked with me to lessen the pain so I could get back to doing the things I love. Dr. Randall Franiak, Melissa, Trisha, and the rest of the office staff at Advanced Pain Mgmt of Central Indiana are a highly professional, very friendly, helpful and caring medical group. As a patient who was suffering from severe neck pain, I reached out to Dr. Franiak for help and he rose to the challenge. With his excellent treatment plan, I have been able to function normally. This practice is terrific in every way! I have been under his care for approximately 6 years and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a specialist in the treatment of pain, etc. Thank you for everything you all have done for me. I have had lower back pain for many years. I was referred to Dr. Franiak by my family doctor. I am very pleased with the courteous and professional staff at this office. Dr. Franiak replaced my spinal cord stimulator stimulator with a newer model and so far, I’m very pleased with the surgery. The people here are absolutely committed to finding a solution for your pain. I’m very satisfied with how I’m treated here and will continue to trust Dr. Franiak and his staff to care for me. Dr Franiak has been treating my lower back pain for three years now. He and his staff are always very professional and knowledgeable. He is a very talented doctor and the injections I have received for my pain work great. It is so valuable to have a pain option that doesn’t involve prescription medications and constantly taking a pill or wondering if I forgot a pill or took an additional pill. His treatments erase my back pain and last a long time. Dr Franiak is my best option. I will always turn to him before I take opioids. Dr. Franiak is Awesome. I have had increasing pain in my hip for nearly 2 years. I went to his office in pain and walked out pain free. I have not taken any pain meds since that visit. The only issue I had was actually speaking to someone anytime I called the office. I called many times and got the same recording. Outside of that Great experience. Dr. Franiak is Awesome. The beginning of my process. I have had to finally after years break down and make an appointment to treat my pain. 1st review will be of Anna that made my appointment. She quickly asked me to hold. Oh boy, here we go I thought. She quickly returned and promptly took care of exactly everything To get me scheduled. Anna, you rock.

Rude scheduler, rude nurse. Be prepared to repeat yourself to both when trying to schedule an appointment and the reasons for the appointment. They are arrogant and condescending. I will go elsewhere

They have always been rude to me. I am my mother care giver, and have been for over 5 years. The situation is very stressful and I am mostly alone in caring for her. My mother is in chronic pain, suffering from multiple fractures do to a spinal fusion that went wrong 5 years ago, to having fallen again 4 months ago and fracturing her neck at the location of the spinal fusion. I have been taking her to her appointments at Dr Franiaks office for the last 5 years. I have always been met with dirty looks and treated like I am some kind of criminal and for what I do not know, unless it has to do with being transgender and not liking the doctor who ruined her neck with the failed spinal fusion. Either way, they have mistreated my mother because of their disliking for me. I am not happy with them but continue to take my mother to hem because she is in pain and really has no idea how I feel when I go there. But that may change after what happened today, for they say we missed an appointment, when I called several times to confirm it, and I have the phone records on my phone to prove it. Instead of finding a way to insure my mother does not go without pain medicine, they decided it was easier to say I never called them and argue about it. I have never felt more sick to my stomach, I can not help but think RFRA had anything to do with this, but if it did or not, you do not mistreat people this way, you do not call your patients stressed out caregivers, liars. Until you have to sit and watch your mother crying in pain and can not give her any pain medicine, you will never know what true sadness feels like. I can not say enough why you need to stay away from these people. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update to this review September 15th 2016 My mother and I ended up going to the second appointment set up. We were able to get help for the meantime from our regular doctor. Our situation is difficult, it has gone on for far longer then we ever thought, the stress, the pain and suffering is felt all around. The amount of hurt and stress I deal with 24/7 and I do not get paid for any of it. I tried to explain this to Dr Franiak's wife, and instead she told me to shut up, that she was speaking. She spoke to me as if I were a child, she upset my mother and made my already stressed out ruined life, even worse. We already deal with enough sadness and upset every single day, so it was easier to make that worse then to take responsibility for making a mistake on my mothers appointment time. She needs to get some special training before she continues practicing medicine, she needs to learn just how hard it is on the family to care for a someone disabled, and if she already know and did this out of ego, then she needs to take a break for while and rethink her profession. Dr. Franiak and his wife are both amazing. Brooke that assists with injections is awesome! But the front office girls can be rude and not very helpful. Keep reading. [ this is why I didn't give 5 ????] I have been to multiple doctors chiropractors and the emergency room. Most doctors dismissed me because I am young and they do not believe the pain I have daily. Dr. Franiak has explained in detail what is wrong and the options we have to try to alleviate pain. I don't believe there is a way to fix it. I have had 2 injections so far. The 1st helped for a few weeks. The 2nd unfortunately didn't work.They really will take the time to explain everything and make sure you are comfortable before they do anything! The 1st injection hurt! (obviously they are putting a needle in your spine!) so the 2nd time they gave me some medicine to help. I was a little scared because I thought I was being put under and never have done this before. I told him I was nervous about it and he assured me I would be awake the whole time just relaxed! He was right! Didn't feel a thing but I was awake..a little tired. I will be going back in the next few weeks to see what's next. Will deal with the girls up front to see Dr. Franiak his wife and Brooke because again they are awesome! I recommend these folks to everyone with back issues! For a couple of years, I have taken my mother to Dr Franiak for pain in her shoulder. He was wonderful and helped her so very much. Eleven months ago, I started experiencing pain in mouth - a burning sensation on my tongue and upper pallet. I had seen a few doctors, none of whom could really diagnose what it was and was even given a prognoses that was wrong. I finally thought to go to Dr Franiak in an effort to manage the pain. My first visit was yesterday and in minutes he knew that it was probably related to nerve damage. He started me on medication that I was to take at night. Today my mouth is pain free!!! Now, I am only half way through the day, so it may not last all day and I may have to increase the dosage... but I have no doubt it will work. Dr Frankiak is my hero. I would recommend him to anyone that needed help with their pain. In my eyes - he is one of the best, if not the best pain management doctor. I thank my Lord, Jesus, that he sent me to Dr Franiak.
