Dr. West was phenomenal for my surgery. I'm so glad that the specialist that I saw before him, referred me TO him. I was terrified, but the recovery went exactly as anticipated and you can barely tell that I ever had surgery today. I just moved to Richmond from NJ. And I normally don't write reviews. But I felt compelled to write this about Dr. West. He is The "REAL DEAL". Great Bedside Manner, Patient and Emphatic. I was referred to him and so Glad that I went to see him. I had such a good feeling when I left his Practice. The Staff is Professional as well.

I have been going to Dr.West for years. I trust him completely. He is not afraid to talk to other Doctors before doing a procedure. In other words he gets a second opinion. He and his staff are pleasant and efficient. His team will help you understand what you will be expecting. I could go on......

Compassionate care from Dr. West and all in his office. There was never a question I called to ask that they weren't happy to answer. Dr. West worked with me through two surgeries and always assured me when I would get anxious, "we are going to get you fixed!". I cannot recommend him highly enough. A true professional.

I have been with Dr. West for 20 years, see him every six months and I would never switch to anyone else. He is compassionate, smart, listens to concerns and a great human being. I trust him totally. He and I are growing old together.

Dr. West never acknowledged my mother’s death. She was in the hospital and he was in his office on the ground floor of Johnston Willis Hospital. I called his office the hour that she passed to tell the chemo team that she had passed and to say thank you I left a message for Dr. West to call as he was going to discuss with me the possible need for genetic testing for me and my daughters. My momma died a very horrible painful death from metastatic ovarian cancer. This was on April 30, 2014. Never ever heard from him. I called his office after a week, made another nice request for him to call. Again expressing my gratitude to the nursing staff. After 2 more weeks I called the office about an insurance issue. I made another polite request for him to call. AFTER MORE THAN 6 YEARS I AM STILL WAITING! SHAME ON HIM! My 84 year old Momma was a very easy going g sweet lady. She deserved more respect and acknowledgement from him. To this day I do not know why he never called. DISMISSED AND SAD

Dr West has been with me since my diagnosis in March 2017. I cannot say enough good things about him and his wonderful staff. They took and continue to take great care of me!

Dr. West and his staff are very professional, thorough, and places you at east throughout the ENTIRE process. He really listened to my concerns and considered my request which he included in his professional decision, although he would have to make the final say based on his findings. He is truly a compassionate provider and EXPERT! ??????

I met Dr. West five years ago when he treated my mother for stage 3a uterine cancer. Her surgery went well and she continued with chemo and radiation treatments. For the past three years she has been cancer free.

I'm sitting at home the morning after my hysterectomy and cant help but feel blessed to have been guided to this wonderful doctor. His demeanor instantly puts you at ease. He looks you straight in the eye when speaking to you. He is the doctor you want to take care of you Just amazing! I cant say enough about him.

I just had surgery this Tuesday to have fibroids and a cyst removed. Dr. West performed the surgery and did an excellent job. From the very first time that I saw him for my consultation appointment up until when he came to talk to me right before the surgery he has been the best! He makes you feel comfortable and is very personable. I was nervous about the surgery and the recovery! It is day 3 from surgery and I feel good!!!! Dr. West and his team were extremely kind and compassionate throughout my entire surgical process. Each appointment prior to surgery was timely and informative and I never felt rushed. On the day of my surgery everyone was comforting and put me at ease about the process. Dr. West’s smiling face and confidence let me know that everything would be ok. EXCELLENT DOCTOR! Dr. West is the kindest surgeon that I have ever had & unfortunately I have had many. He explains his findings clearly and does not seem to hurry out of the room even when his waiting room is full. His new office at Stony Point is beautiful & affords plenty of parking. If Dr. West was a PC, I would select him as mine in a heartbeat. You will not be disappointed selecting Dr. West!

Dr West is truly one of the best! It is amazing how much time and care he gives to his patients. He walks into the exam room and makes you feel totally safe. He gives the feeling that he is in the journey with you and you will get through what is a scary and uncertain time. His staff is as great as he is!

Best OBGYN doc I've had in 20 years! Actually he doesn't do the OB stuff anymore, just the GYN stuff. He not only treats cancer, but he does the odd tough stuff that is anything but routine. He does Endometriosis too. Has steady hands and many hours on the DaVinci Robot for robotic surgery.

I met him when he came into my mother room to assess her conditions. I wasn't sure about him at first but wow was I wrong. He is just wonderful and I mean wonderful. The surgery was hard but he brought her through it and all of my mothers follow-up have been monitored by him. He takes the time to explain things to you when you just don't understand. My mother is still in her winning fight but he has been with her and us the entire time. His staff are just as caring as he and especially the chemo nurses. They stay on point with her treatments and medication. Even the office manager shows a caring nature towards the patient's and their family needs. My mother just love Dr. West and so does her family. As for me, I prayed for guidance that heartbreaking day and night and then walked Dr. West. I am grateful I met him when he came into my mother room to assess her conditions. Was diagnosed with cancer & then everything happened like a whirlwind....scheduled for tests, oncology appt & then surgery, all within one month time span. Dr West has been professional & kept me fully informed through-out. He made a terrifying experience flow very smoothly. Great office staff as well!

Dr. West performed my surgery for hysterectomy. Davinci robotic surgery. He is the best! I had my surgery on January 16, 2018 and this is my seventh week and I feel wonderful. Never took one pain med. He said he would take care of me and he lived up to his promise. He is the best!! And God sent angel.

Dr. West performed DaVinci robotic hysterectomy Thurs 2/22/18. Discharged next day. Discontinued Percocet by Saturday. Yearly Gyn visit revealed an enlarged uterus with thickening wall. Suspected breast cancer estrogen blocker Tamoxifen caused rapid fibroid growth. Normal uterus for child bearing woman 80 grams; mine was 1300 grams! Dr. West so skillful to perform the surgery robotically w/out large invasive abdominal incision. Surgery team advised women travel afar seeking Dr. West's expertise

Dr. West went above and beyond when treating me for my recent cancer diagnosis. He is very compassionate, took a lot of time with me to explain the diagnosis and the treatment options. His chemo nurses, front desk staff, and assistants were all fantastic and very kind. We appreciate all that they have done for us and would highly recommend him.

Dr. West performed surgery on me in February 2015 for ovarian cancer. He was thorough, knowledgeable, and has a wonderful bedside manner. I had quite a few unique issues and he helped me through them, calling me at home for weeks for follow up and making sure I had every follow up test that he felt was required. I felt very safe in his care then and I continue to do so in my follow up appointments. In my opinion he is the best!

Dr. West did surgery on me a week ago from today. My family felt he was extremely informative after the surgery and I felt he was more than thorough. I have experience very little pain since the day of the surgery. Dr. West was referred by my Gyn doctor to be one of the best robotic surgeons in the Richmond area. I felt he informed me most thoroughly during my office visit what he was going to do during surgery. One of the best doctor's I have had the pleasure of caring for me.

Dr. West is excellent and I highly recommend him to every woman. He performed surgery on me and there were no complications. Everything went just as explained to me by Dr. West. His office staff is wonderful, too. Great doctor and extremely skillful surgeon.
