About Rami Rafael Grossmann
Reviews for Rami Rafael Grossmann
Our initial consult was fine, however after sending my son for an MRI, we've been waiting a week for the results. No one answers the phone or returns messages. It got to a point where the inbox was full and we couldn't leave another message. We ultimately called the imaging place and received a copy of the report ourselves. A week later and still nothing from this office. We won't be returning.
Our initial consult was great and we felt Dr. Grossman was a good doctor. However his office is very disorganized. It's very hard to get through to anyone on the phone. He sent our son for an MRI and a week later we still haven't gotten the results from his office, despite the imaging center confirming they were sent. We call and never get a person. We left multiple messages with no response. One day the voicemail was full and we couldn't even leave a message. We ultimately got a copy of the MRI results ourselves from the imaging center. We will not be returning and finding a new neurologist. We have still not heard from Dr. Grossman regarding our son's MRI.
We've been seeing Dr. Grossmann for a couple of years now, and have found him to be an excellent doctor. I never have trouble getting an appointment. Dr. Grossmann has also called in scripts for me on the weekend when I screwed up and waited too long to fill, and ran out of meds. The office staff are perfectly fine - no complaints. I love that I can email or use the website to do what I need to do. I'm not much of a phone person, so this works really well for me. Waiting room wait times are not bad, especially for an office as busy as this one. I usually wait about 10 minutes for my kid to be seen. I've recommended Dr. Grossmann to lots of other parents, we are totally happy with our care.
My speech therapist and Pediatrician said my son needed to be evaluated and may be on the spectrum. Dr. Grossman was recommended. That was ten years ago. We are still patients there. He give it to you straight. No parent wants to here that your child is autistic. Dr Grossman helped me to move forward. I HIGHLY recommend him
I've been going to Dr. Grossmann for 15 years. I've never had a problem scheduling or re-scheduling an appointment. His office is well organized. Dr. Grossmann himself is knowledgeable. He won't sugar-coat and tell you want you want to hear and gives it to you straight. I guess that is not for some people. He's helped my son all through these years and helped him become a contributing member of society. I can't thank him enough.

Dr. Rami Grossman has helped me greatly. I can say with confidence that he has the patients best interest in mind. I trust him and would personally recommend him to people I know.
Read all the reviews here for entertainment. If you want a dr to help and knows what he’s doing, and you trust he knows more than you then you will do great here. Dr. Grossman is wonderfully attentive and caring. He generously offers his time to explain treatment modalities. He gets five stars. However, the office staff gets two. Camilla is especially rude and grossly unprofessional. After not receiving an answer on the main line, I called the emergency line because my child was experiencing motor tics. Camilla refused to listen, interrupted me and even went as far as telling me that my call was not an emergency. Her priority was my last appointment date and could not care less that my child was experiencing tics nor that we have covid and are unable to make it in. I had to demand someone else assist me in order to schedule a virtual appointment. Answering and returning phone calls from patients and the pharmacy would be most helpful. My son has been a patient of Dr Grossmann’s for many years. I’ve probably been to all the pediatric neurologists around here before finding him. I never wait long. Our first and only appointment with Dr. Grossmann went pretty well. He was quite attentive to our child. However, the communication from his office is terrible. I would like to first start off saying that this place SEEMS to offer wonderful opportunities and help for those in need. However, the staff member that I spoke with was disrespectful and extremely unprofessional. This Abigail woman was distasteful and degrading. I sent in an application to hopefully work here and I got a call back and thought this is great a new opportunity. I do not have experience in this field however, from the description they wrote on Indeed it encouraged all to apply. She had the most attitude asking me “why would you even apply if you have literally no experience “ gave her my reply of wanting to branch out and try something new. Phone call went on and towards the end she decided it was appropriate to say “ Now You Be A Good Little Girl And Call Like A Professional If You Cancel” how in her right mind is that okay to say to someone. This phone call just made me upset and the thought of working in an environment like that I wish it on no one. I truly hope they treat the patients they receive with a lot more respect! Dr Grossmann is very rude to my wife and women in general, he doesnt care what they have to say or let them speak. Today makes the 4th attempt to email him cause he does not respond to any calls. Last month he sent the wrong prescription to my pharmacist for my daughter. After about 4 days and many calls and emails later he finally sent the correct one. My pharmacist had to call him and correct him on what he was doing wrong. This month it's been over a week and she dosen't have her meds still. Dr. Grossman spent a only few minutes with my 12 month old, and firmly decided he needs an MRI with IV sedation and EEG. I will not subject my son to these tests because I don’t feel they are necessary. I see my son learning and doing something new everyday and I see him getting physically stronger every day too. According to American Academy of Pediatrics, it is normal for a child to say 1-3 words at 12 months old and it is perfectly fine to not be walking yet. Horrible experience with Dr. Grossmann. I felt that he didn’t really try to listen to what my son and I were saying, and jumped to scheduling many tests for him. Very bad bedside manner, rude, and as my son said “mean”. Not the qualities of what you want in a pediatric doctor. Office is also disorganized. Please see another neurologist for your child.
Dr. Grossmann lacks bedside manner and he is rude and condescending and not woman friendly. He's making presumptions on how I handle my son's treatment. My interaction with him has always been negative while when my husband is the one who goes on the visit his tone and attitude are much more restrained.
Dr. Grossman is rude and condescending.. makes assumptions without even asking. I get the sense that he displays his sarcasm and cynicism with me yet he is nice and polite with my husband.

Dr Rami Grossman is the best
I have been going to Dr. Grossman for over 10 years and cannot be happier with how he has treated me. If you are looking for a lovely dovey doctor than he is not the guy for you, but he is still excellent. He is serious and always tells you what you need to hear. He is always able to answer any question you have, and is fully knowledgable about any situation that arises.

Take my Advise Please DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD TO THIS Doctor. He has no idea how to administer medical to an Autistic Child! He is impatient, aggressive and lack knowledge. Instead take your child to Nassau Community Hospital. The Doctors are well trained how to deal with Autism! They are more patient and understanding unlike R. Grossman. Dr Rami Grossmann has helped me tremendously over the years I have been a patient of his. He is extremely knowledgeable in his field, with years of experience in neurology. I'm noticing my people reviewing him based off of his personality. Yes, he may be "pushy" and he may jump to conclusion without that much discussion, but he has the knowledge to back up his decisions. Their is a reason why his practice is so successful. Dr Rami Grossmann is a neurologist who I would refer anyone to due to how much he has helped me, and the knowledge bank he has access to when diagnosing and treating patients. Dr. Grossman took care of my son from 4th to 12th grade. I trust him completely!!
Great DR. Very knowledgeable, to the point quality. Has been helping my son for years, now a grown teenager. My son is in the spectrum ASD.
I would not recommend Doctor Grossmann to anyone, I am very disappointed on how they proceed with giving a diagnosed to my child. TRUSTWORTHY!!!!!!!!!
The likelihood of me recommending this doctor is slim or non-existent. He is rude, and arrogant. His staff is unprofessional. You have to speak with the office via email which I find to be so impersonal. They offer no viable solutions or referrals when needed. The staff seems unorganized and the office smells like garbage.
Excellent Doctor if ur child encounters a situation this is who you want on ur team.
I could go on and on about how dangerous Grossmann is. He is a monster with a lisence to destroy babies and children. His mismanagement and withholding information so that he can maximize the money he can make off babies, Children and devastated parents is inhuman and criminal. Take your babies somewhere else and hope that it’s not too late like it was for me.
Dr. Grossman has brought my son back on a path of normalcy that no other Neurologists were able to do in years. He is not notorious for his bedside manner, but he's really great at what he does. He knows my son so well now, and has no problem voicing when he's out of hand. Which is great for his personality. What works for some may not work for others. But he's the perfect fit for us. I owe a big chunk of my sanity to Dr.Grossman for believing and addressing my concerns, and helping my family.
Very Knowledagble! Brilliant man and fills all my needs as a parent I happen to like his slightly dry sense of humor....?? I always get my questions answered and I think he’s direct and right to the point! Love that! I don’t need a therapist, I want a doctor to be firm and and caring with my kid- and he ALWAYS is! Thank you! FYI.... STAFF is the bomb!!! Better than ANYWHERE else! ANYWHERE! What a tight ?? ship they run; love it They’re all smart, sweet and great with my kid too!
Just left the office, nearly in tears. ( of anger) I read the reviews. Said to myself, it would not be that bad. It will be fine. When my son and I got there, the waiting room smelled like an old bathroom... Sat away from the BR, but can srill smell the stench... Not a good first impression...waiting time was not that bad... When we finally met him...I told myself...I should have heeded the warnings on Google review. Never have I met a ruder, more arrogant, dismissive, condescending MD. My husband and I brought our son to see Dr. Grossmann. Our son has been experiencing ticking of the head, eye and throat. I walked up to the Receptionist with blue hair, who was too busy sending a text to greet me. So I proceeded to say, "I have an appointment". Without picking up her head she says, "so sign in". I was a bit taken back at the rudeness and the look on her face as if I should have known their office procedures considering there was no one else in the waiting area. The Dr. asked me a series of questions I assumed was in the interest of figuring out what is going on with my child all the while fidgeting with a sore on his lip that seemingly had stitches. Without washing his hand, he proceeded to check my son's reflex. He drew some ridiculous graph of a series of steps and test he will do to get to the bottom of things. Suggesting he will need to see him at least three more times to run various test. One test will determine if he is having seizures while sleeping and another to see if he has Tourette's then a follow up. Also, he said he needed to get to the bottom of the eye ticking because that was, "freaky". He also said he will be sending me home with a monitor that will record brain activity..."I think". When I asked, "are we getting the monitor today?". He snapped and said, "you are not taking home anything today!". He wanted me to download a questionnaire from his website and give one to the teacher and fill one out and bring it back to him. I didn't like the way he interact with my child. His tone had an edge when he spoke to me and also with my child. I am glad I was with my husband because he too left not feeling confident with the Dr Grossmann as well. I also felt that the multiple visits were to ensure he gets more money from the health insurance for doing absolutely NOTHING! My son has never experienced seizures. I did not get any information about ticking from the Dr. just to go home and fill out a questionnaire. It's fair to say this Dr. is not a fit and we will be going elsewhere. We went to another Neurologist in Brooklyn. The doctor had him wired for the EEC test on the first visit. The result came back two days later that my son was ok. The Dr. told us that ticks are common in 6/7 yr olds and most often the child out grows them. My husband and I brought our son to see Dr. Grossmann. Despite some of the reviews I find Dr Grossman to be very knowledgeable and straight forward. Obviously it's always a difficult situation to have a child that needs this kind of medical attention. But the strategy that was implemented to address my child's concern were on point and my family is in a much better place under his care.

Dr. Grossman changed our lives. Our son was diagnosed at 13 months. We took all the responsible steps including having a neurologist treat him at that early age. However, our lives revolved around keeping our son safe from himself and others. Meltdowns, self-injurious behaviors, stimming. The suggestion was made to see a different neurologist. We were so reluctant t because the one we had was so highly regarded and recommended but in 5 years no change had been made. Our son and us as a family had no quality of life. We practically lived in our car since going for a car ride kept our son at peace. We met Dr. Grossman and he began treating our son. Prior to giving any medication. My Brother had auditory processing and has been seeing Dr. Grossman for the past 5 years. He is now going into college thanks to God and Dr. Grossman. Before seeing Dr. Grossman he was misdiagnosed by 3 doctors. I was referred to Dr. Grossman by a friend and I’m thankful to God that I met him. I’m absolutely shocked to see poor reviews here. These review seem to just complain about his workers or the parking which I think is unfair because the real focus should be on the doctor, and what he is doing for your child. Dr. Grossman is fantastic with children. He knows what he is doing and doesn’t have to be told how to do his job by impatient parents. He isn’t there to make small talk or compliment you, he’s there to focus on your child and that he’s doing what your child needs. I know by facts that he’s saved many children’s lives but I have never seen over 2 reviews thanking the Doctor for saving their precious child’s life, but I have seen reviews on idiotic things like feeding the meter, or parking issues, or problems with the staff. Keep in mind that these secretaries are always working very hard and have to deal with some nasty people both on the phone and in person (I saw that today with 2 families) both needed to get put in a “hurry” although they were there for their child. Both children were autistic. I want to congratulate Dr. Grossman on my brother Juan’s progress. I never dreamed that my brother would progress like this. Dr. Grossman works non stop but never in a hurry. He always takes his time with the children and makes feel them feel as comfortable as they can. He always has a smile for the children, maybe not the parents, but he’s not there for the parents he’s there to treat your child! I’ve always been impressed with Dr. Grossman in the years that we’ve been seeing him. I have the utmost respect for him and would recomend him without thinking twice for any type of case that has to do with the brain be it autism, auditory processing, seizures etc. If your child doesn’t seem to make eye contact with you or anyone else, doesn’t seem to understand, doesn’t seem to hear what your saying, and seems lost, please go see Dr. Grossman. He will help you. The thought of seeing my brother ready to take on his first year of college fills me with emotion and joy. He’s happy to be going to college and that pride that I feel is unparalleled. God bless you Dr. Grossman. Keep up the fantastic work. And don’t worry about those petty reviews. Dr. Grossman is a very good doctor. My son has ADHD and has been struggling in school for a long time. Dr. Grossman didn't waste time. He had him evaluated immediately and put him on medication, beginning with a very low dose. I really like that he asked about my son's diet and extracurricular activities. He also didn't simply accept a diagnosis from other doctors and specialists, taking into consideration that it may be some other factor causing the problem. There are many factors that can improve or exacerbate symptoms. Sometimes it is difficult to speak to someone directly on the phone; in that case, you have to send an email and they will call you back. Our daughter was diagnosed autistic at age 2. Over the past 15 years, our family has dealt with competence and incompetence from individuals and agencies in the medical field. In addition to Autism, our daughter has been diagnosed at different times with depression, bipolar disorder, ADD, ADHD, anxiety, and mood disorder. She has been subjected to several tests, psychological treatments, and pharmaceutical medications. Through it all, we have learned that advocacy for our child is paramount. Our goal has always been the best quality of life for our daughter. Last year, while speaking to the school therapist, I wondered if the issues were related to a physical malady in our daughter’s brain. The therapist recommended Dr. Grossman. She stressed to me that his bedside manner was to akin to many of the comments listed here. I explained to her that we have grown a very thick skin. At our first visit, we prepared ourselves nevertheless. Setting up an appointment was quite easy; an email to the staff and a phone call from them to confirm. We arrived on time and waited for less than 10 minutes. Our daughter was weighed and measured. We were then escorted to an examination room. Dr. Grossman appeared shortly. He asked us what we were here for. We began explaining our plight and he began to anticipate our responses. He ordered a sleep monitor and MRI. After the results, we were relieved that there was no brain damage. At our next session, we explained that depression was our greatest concern for our daughter. Other doctors had been hesitant to treat our daughter's depression since modern SSRI antidepressants had exhibit mania symptoms. We were resigned to treat depression with talk therapy alone. Instead, Dr. Grossman offered an older tricyclic antidepressant, Pamelor. It has been 3 months and our daughter has shown tremendous progress. She can now manage her depression with the tools she has been taught in therapy. Dr. Grossman’s insight and analytical approach has been very beneficial to our daughter’s health and quality of life. Our daughter was diagnosed autistic at age 2. Over the past 15 years, our family has dealt with competence and incompetence from individuals and agencies in the medical field. In addition to Autism, our daughter has been diagnosed at … More
*EDIT*: I changed my rating to 5 stars, because when you get down to the nuts and bolts of it, he is an excellent, extremely competent doctor who treats very complex issues. Yeah it's annoying to get in touch with the staff, but that's the only hiccup* Ok, so I see a lot of 1 star reviews and I can see why. First though, I'm giving 4 stars, I would give 5 if I was able to get someone on the phone & I didn't have to follow up with emails. Getting in touch with the office is an issue and several times when I had sent emails and had no reply, the standard excuse from the office staff was that they "went through the emails for the day and didn't see mine", although they very well get the forward of the original that I send. BESIDES that, Dr. Grossmann is an excellent doctor. Yes, he can get right to the point which may come off as rude to some people, but all he wants is to know specific information which will help him service his patient more efficiently. Our visits are no more than 15 minutes which is excellent. Yes he does initially require additional visitation and tests in the beginning, or when medication/situation has changed, but I like that because its thorough. I would want someone checking my daughter regularly to keep up with the issues shes having. He treats my daughter well when he interacts with her and he is concerned with any issues I may bring up in relation to what she has. He is a great neurologist, I recommend him to everyone. *EDIT*: I changed my rating to 5 stars, because when you get down to the nuts and bolts of it, he is an excellent, extremely competent doctor who treats very complex issues. Take this as someone who is a patient of his since I was two years old, I am almost 21. This man has saved my life. I was diagnosed with autism and had seizures at a young age. Another neurologist tested me for seizures and they came up negative, even though I had all the signs of epilepsy. My pediatrician at the time recommended to see Dr. Grossmann during an emergency. That day, this doctor saved my life. I grew up going to regular school, graduated at s regular time, and am currently attending college for Electrical Engineering. I have also not had a seizure in 14 years. Now enough about me, I want to talk more about this great Doctor. He may not have the best bedside manner, but that's not what you would see him for. He does the best possible treatments for all sorts of development issues. In fact, I had gone through so many medication recommended by him and they have always been expected changes. He mandates different test yearly, and some every couple of years. He is truly a great doctor and he will help anyone with a developmental brain issue. Dr. Grossmann is not "nice", or "sweet". Do not expect him to tell you how "cute" is your child. But he is an exellent doctor. He has a strong personality and is very serious. He told us that our daughter who has anxiety and ADHD would only get more anxious on stimulants. Our psychiatrist still prescribed Vyvance. After two month of taking it our daughter got into a horrible state...
Dr. Grossman is taking care of both my kids. He saved my son. He’s very personable Gross man is taking care of both my kids. He saved my son. He is very personal. And he has odd of the box thinking. He will try to do everything to help child. I recommended him to many of my friends and they were all happy with him.
This guy is a co-pay grubbing Dr who cares more about racking up visits than he does the person he is supposed to be caring for. It is disgusting. And it's obvious to everyone. My son had the flu and had to miss his visit. Dr REFUSED to renew his meds until we could have a visit (ones that he was on for over 6 months and was clearly adapted to). The earliest visit was 3 weeks away. The meds ran out...ones that he wasn't supposed to stop suddenly. Dr didn't care. Total unprofessional.

Dr. Grossman is our angel. He saved our son. When we came to Dr. Grossmann, our son was in crisis. The only way to keep our son calm was to give him a car ride. I want to note we were under the care of another neurologist . However, in 5 years she never ordered blood work or an MRI. Dr. Grossman was so thorough . Prior to prescribing his treatment plan all kinds of tests were ordered. We are a family again. Dr. Grossmann saved our son.

Honestly how can this guy be a dr! Does anybody really know if he has a license? Do yourself a favor and never bring your child to him he is a complete jerkoff I kid u not
Find someone else! This Grossman is very dismissive and arrogant. Who does he think he is anyway. Very bad manners and has zero concern about his clients feel.
The best neurologist on L.I. He doesn't waste time getting straight to the point. Listens to your concerns. He doesn't shut me down and always checks out what I am saying for himself.

He is a great Doctor listens to his patience. He knows how to run a professional office. His staff is courteous and really tend to your needs.
Dr. Grossman has been my son's Dr. for 8 years. He is a wonderful Dr. who has treated my son with care and kindness always. My son is doing fabulous in school and he has been on point on all recommendations for my sons health.
Dr Grossman takes care of my child who has an extremely rare condition. I wouldn't trust my daughters life with anyone else. He told us exactly what I "needed" to hear, even if it wasn't what I wanted to hear. My daughter feels comfortable in his care and knows he genuinely cares about her well being. He is very knowledgeable and professional. My son's been seeing him for several years and we couldn't be happier.
Dr Grossmann has been treating our son for several years and I couldn't be more grateful that he has. He is straight forward and gets to the point. You want the truth and the best for your loved one then he's the guy. He cares for his patients and my son loves him. I would highly recommend him with out a doubt.

Initially I was not impressed with the waiting area when I walked in, however the fancy dressing doesn't always guarantee results. I was impressed with Dr Grossmans knowledge and holistic approach. He was very thorough in getting necessary tests done on site quickly and recommended diet restrictions which was not easy, but we got to the bottom of my sons migraines quickly. Once he eliminated certain foods he gained "clarity" after having a fuzzy feeling for months.

My son saw Dr. Grossman from 1st grade to the end of 10th grade for ADHD. Dr. Grossman was very thorough and told us what our options were. What first impressed us with Dr. Grossman was the level of expertise he had and his direct way of explaining things to us. He put us at ease right away with his knowledge and confidence that my son would be well taken care of. Over the years, Dr. Grossman was always available to us to address any concerns we had. He truly cares about his patients.
