They told my mom on the phone appointment was for 9 am and LIED! We showed up at 9 am and was told was for 10 am. Now explain why to waste someone's time especially if they work the night shift. So, they don't know what care is.

I waited 6 months for this appointment. I had a thyroidectomy last year and have had a difficult time getting my levels right since then. I was hoping this doctor would be the answer but he was worse than the other doctor I've been seeing. I don't believe he has bothered to learn anything new that's been discovered regarding thyroid care in the last 25 years. The field has changed a lot and multiple studies have shown that the old way of doing things was not working. He didn't get the memo, obviously. He didn't know the difference between free T3 and total T3, won't use NDT or T3 medications even for someone without a thyroid, and didn't know what rT3 is. Said he's never tested anyone's rT3 and he's never had a patient who's had an issue with their rT3. Well, how would you know if you have never tested anyones rT3? Even my GP tests that. It's a very basic standard of care. When I asked him to reconsider the labs he was ordering and to please do a full thyroid panel rather than just TSH and total T3 he told me I probably need to find a new doctor. Yeah, no kidding, I definitely was already planning on that when you didn't know half of the basic thyroid treatment info, but endocrinologists are backed up 6 months and I waited that long just to get in to this appointment. I have no thyroid so going without any medication while waiting for a new patient appointment with yet another endo isn't possible. I asked him if he would at least continue my prescriptions until I can establish care with someone else and he refused. Hopefully my GP will continue my prescriptions until I can find someone competent but for anyone waiting on an appointment with him, please have another endo lined up. If you are a current patient of his and you are still symptomatic I strongly urge you to get a second opinion. He does not know enough about current thyroid care standards and is stuck with whatever info he learned when he graduated med school decades ago.

Hes the best of the best. So kind. Amazing bedside manner and takes his time. He's helped me so very much. Make your appointment! You won't regret it!

I couldn't say enough good things about Dr. Chennubhotla. He is a wonderful doctor as well as a wonderful person. He takes the time to listen and understand my concerns and he is highly competent.
