Dr. Ralph Silverman

Rude, condescending, irritated, clearly has not respect for the profession or his patients. Told my GP I will not be going to him again.

Dr. Silverman did not introduce himself when he came into the room. He asked my daughter, "why are you here?" He was rushed, rude, condescending and abrupt. He had nothing positive to say to a young person struggling with a lifelong disease. I was proud of my daughter for handling the interaction with strength and poise. If surgery is necessary, we will not be choosing Dr. Ralph Silverman.

Went to my primary care physician and told her I had itching and that I had a hemorrhoid. She referred me to Dr. Silverman. In the exam room a nurse told me to remove my pants and gave me a disposable covering. Dr. Silverman entered the room and asked how I was. He told me to lay on my side a minute or so later he told me to sit up. Without any examination, explanation, or permission he had jammed something up me & banded an internal hemorrhoid. After care instructions were to resume normal activities and I was not taken off blood thinners. Later I ended up in the ER due to profuse bleeding from his treatment. The ER called him, he denied that is what it was. Surgery repaired it and the next morning in my ICU room he asked how I felt. Said nothing else to me and then went to my nurse and said I didn't talk much. In my opinion he is unprofessional, did not give a proper exam, should have stopped the blood thinner, and the after care instructions are inadequate.

Dr. Silverman was impersonal and seemed rather annoyed I was there for my concern. He came off as arrogant as he belittled my trusted primary care physicians who referred me. He and his staff lacked communication. I left feeling like an idiot rather than relieved/well taken care of...

bad, in a hurry, rude,not caring , did not want to answer questions about why he did things. cut through hernia mess but would not answer if he fixed it, said i would probably have a hernia. Wanted to put me on ventilator, others said no . RUN

My son died under his care after a colon resection. Please do not use this doctor . Prior to my son's surgery he was rude and made sure he pointed out how obese he was.He was so unkind, but at the time we were told by others he was the best in his field and my son needed the surgery. My son was only 26 years old. ????

Went in for a routine colonoscopy. This was my second time using Dr. Silverman and have had a good experience both times!!

He was very rude, and talked down to me and my family. I asked him a question and he said I already told you once. Would not want someone like that operating on me!

In quickly, treated with much dignity and eye smiles, the procedure was quick and easy with no issues. Dr Silverman and team were wonderful and great bed side manner. Highly recommend!!!

Parirectal Abscess. Called office at 8 am in intense pain. Squeezed me in (no pun intended) at 9:30 am. Staff great. Dr. Silverman, no nonsense, let's solve issue properly, professionally and directly. Painful procedure for all, but pleased he took care of issue immediately in his office.

Had a colonoscopy. Scheduling and procedure was very easy. Office staff was friendly and Dr. Silverman was great. They were even a little bit early for the procedure.

Everyone in office was friendly, the office was clean and I never had to wait long for the dr to come in. Dr. Silverman was straight to the point and handled everything in a professional way. Thank you.

After delaying and dreading making the appointment and going, I was sorry I had waited over a year. Dr Silverman is kind, professional and took care of my problem quickly with minimal discomfort. His office staff is wonderful. I highly recommend Dr Silverman!

Dr. Silverman is genuinely concerned with my condition and helping me find treatment to get better. Very knowledgeable, yet so easy to talk with. Would definitely recommend him to others!

Colonoscopy procedure but Dr Silverman has been with me through all of the roller coaster of treating my cancer. He listened when no other doctor would and got me to treatment. I am cancer free today thanks to Dr Silverman.

Excellent patient care and very understanding. The staff in his office and at the Surgical Center are the Best I've encountered. They are right on time or early with appointments. I will continue to schedule with him, his staff, and at the Surgical Center when needed. Thanks.

Dr. Silverman was very pleasant and attentive. He was very knowledgeable about my condition and informative. He was very positive about my treatment and the results of the treatment.

Silverman did not let me know CT scan results looked normal. Silverman did not schedule me for a colonoscopy which he said was next step. Silverman did not respond after we brought previous CT scan results from other hospital for Dr to compare. (Even though we called his office a week later and specifically asked him to call and let us know what the difference was.) Did not see or hear from Dr again until hospitalized for diverticulitis again about a month later. Dr saw me once in hospital but gave no information, answered no questions. Released from hospital, told to schedule follow up appt. His office scheduled my appt for afternoon Dr was not there. I was told to call back and change appt. I called back and said to not make appt until I could verify my insurance would pay for it, as the Dr wanted me to get another CT scan. (I complained that the last CT scan he told me to get he never gave me the results of. His office told me that is how he operates, nothing wrong, no call or info.

Dr Silverman is just in it for the money. Herd people in and out like cattle. Doesn't care to talk to his patients just give him the money. FYI-South County surgery center is owned by him and a handful of other doctors so don't let his office lead you to believe that is is part of St. Anthony's hospital.

Didn't returned our calls...said he never got the msgs. Once we did speak with him he was very condescending and he seemed like he was being inconvenienced by our questions! I would not recommend him due to his lack of professionalism.

I can’t believe how he was at our second and I say final appointed. I would never recommend him!!!
