Dr Ralph Rashbaum is the best back surgeon in the world.......yes it's true he literally has no bedside manner at all but you'll regret any other surgeon touching your spine. I think Dr death worked on my back I'm in constant pain now when after my first surgery Dr Rashbaum fixed my back better than before it even had an injury I was pain free for the first time in my life and I can't thank him enough. This physician does not care about patients. There are not clear instructions on how to enter the facility where he practices, the Texas Back Institute. There are signs when you drive up the point to the back of the complex. When you drive back there there are no signs that say Enter Here for Texas Back Institute. There is one entrance and it says Sue A Demille Womens Diagnostic Center. I went in there since it was the only entrance I saw. In there is a lobby with no signs regarding Texas Back Institute, no directory, no Volunteer at a desk to ask question. So, I think this must be the wrong entrance. I go back outside walking around the complex looking for another entrance. Can't find one. So I go back to my car to drive around to see if I can find the correct entrance. Still don't find another entrance. So, I call them. They say I am to go in through the door that says Sue A de Demille Womens Diagnostic Center and go to the 2nd floor. So, I park again and go in. By now, I'm about 15 minutes late. I go up to the receptionist...they have canceled my appointment and tell me Dr. Rashbaum will not reschedule...he never wants to see me because I'm late! What kind of patient care is does this physician give! I hear he is thinking about retiring. Sounds like he has short timers attitude and needs to go! This physician does not care about patients. Dr. Ralph Rashbaum is a stellar physician who truly practices the art of medicine and healing. I brought my wife Gaye to him ten years ago. She was nearly in a wheelchair. She could barley walk of function due to two failed spine surgeries. He put her on a program and she always did what he asked of her. He found an un-diagnosed problem other doctors had missed. He also implanted a spinal cord stimulator. She followed his regiment to the letter, and that, and his surgical skills restored her life. Ten years later she still has freedom from most pain and lives a full life. If you're looking for a doctor to coddle you, don't go to Ralph Rashbaum. If you're looking for a Doctor to BS and get meds from, do not go to Ralph Rashbaum. But if you are looking for a doctor to heal you, and you are willing to put in as much effort as he will, and not waste his precious time...Then by all means, Go to Dr. Ralph P. Rashbaum!

Now retiring.......

I find Dr. Rashbaum kind, caring, knowledgeable and personable. He spent plenty of time with me and was on time..so rare these days. He did not want to inject me, nor do any procedures (unlike the doc at Ortho texas) On of the best MDs. Wish I had found him years earlier!

Dang, Dr. Rashbuam, I'm gonna just call you again. People should know how wonderful you are. Licia Pannucci here, still going after 25 years. Thank you for saving my life. Literally and figuratively.I'll cherish forever my first meeting with you and Dr. Nagy. Thank you for holding my hand as you walked me through the waiting room. Thank you for hope and sanity. I am astonished to this day over the trial treatments and your surgical results with me. LOL. You've had several doctors marvel at that 6 hour rebuild on my neck. I keep getting my neck injured just by driving down the road! YOU are amazing! Thanx for giving me back my life. I hope all finds you and yours well.

Dr. Rashbaum has been my orthopedic for 40 yrs. I would never let another Dr. touch my back. He is a wonderful surgeon.

This doctor was very rude. Never was greeted when he walked in the door and was not remotely interested in the pain that I was in. He seemed that he was in a rush and didn't want to properly diagnose what my pain problem was. Waste of time!

After many other docs who wanted to medicate my pain... He found the issue... Thank You for caring and listening

Drove ten hour round trip to argue over being crushed by a pool table or hit violently by a pool table. Then proceeds to argue about the report the referring doctor wrote up! The terminology doesn't matter! I matter and my pain matters! Total waste of time and money and know nothing more from my visit. I see why he has the low ratings. Wished I would have checked out his reviews before my colossal waste of time.
