We love Dr Brown. We might have to wait sometimes because he actually listens when my daughter needs help and I know he's listening to someone else when we are waiting. My daughter has CP and he is more knowledgeable and caring than any of her other Drs. He knows her, he monitors her meds. If we need help, except for a cold, we call him. We love Dr Brown. Dr Brown is a great physician, and equally important, a great human being.

Seemed arrogant and unsure of if his equipment was working all right. Didn’t like how he argued about me not being able to afford certain tests. Thought he had to legally ask if students could be in the room but he did not.

Dr. Brown started out as a sweet patient man, but after a few visits he rushed me along and was not as interested in my medical issues as before. I did not choose him my Neurologist did. Me having a brain injury and deciding to go off a medication and him not being interested caused me to be life flitd to Roanoke and me on life support with status epilepticus.No call to check on me nothing . Witnessed extremely unethical and unprofessional care from this practice. Anything owned by Carillon really turns into a place that is only about money and displays poor quality medical care. Practice manager Sheri is the most unprofessional medical staffer I've ever spoken with. She had the audacity to laugh about a case involving complete medical failure to a client. Dr Brown is the Best DR in Carilion. He always puts his patients first no matter what is going on. He is very intelligent, and knowledgeable about everything he does. From Brain and Spinal injuries, wound care, to EEG's which studies the nerves, to getting kids who are in wheelchairs to walk again. He is like the Jack of all traits.. You could not ask for better bed side manners than what he gives his patients, he actually listens to us. He is still one of the DRs left that still believes in quality over quantity. He is awesome with the adults patients but the Children he treats, it's unreal, he treats them like he would his own.❤ I got hurt being a police Sergeant at Carilion, I got my head thrown into the side of a metal dumpster ????. I have had several medical and physical issues since then. I also lost my Dad 16 months ago, it was and still is the hardest thing I have ever had to face. But when he comes in the door for my check ups, he always ask me how I am doing. He is incredibly nice to everyone and loves his patients. I could go on all day telling everyone how great he is. Thank you Dr Brown for listening to me each month and taking care of me. I would not trust or go to anyone other than DR Brown, for my Medical care. My elderly father waited 1.5hrs today for his appointment with Dr Brown. No explanation as to why he was subjected to such a long wait time in a suffocating hot room. My Dad was threatened when he opened the door to let cool air in. Such a shame. I have lost all respect for this practice! Dr. Ralph Brown is an excellent doctor! He has seen things connected with my injury that other doctors have missed. He ordered a vein study that found a DVT that could have been very dangerous. He has bent over backwards to help me. He has been honest and explains everything to me and makes sure that I understand. He doesn't sugarcoat but tells it exactly as it is. I met Dr Brown during a recent hospital stay and I was feeling hopeless that there was anyone or anything that could help me and I had given up on life.Just his smile and bedside manner gave me a good feeling and after we talked and he did an assessment better than I think any other dr had ever done. After he left my room I broke down sobbing and although I can barely move in pain I found the strength to drop to my knees and thanked god .Every dr I had seen up to that point had an uncaring attitude and just wanted to hand me bottles of opiods and I had begged for alternative treatments.I have a feeling his was sent to me from god because I had seriously given up and wanted to die rather than live in constant miserable pain or like a junky relying on drugs to live.He gave me the will to live faith again that some drs do care and that I can live without having to take a bunch of opiods and life is going to be great again.God bless him I met Dr Brown during a recent hospital stay and I was feeling hopeless that there was anyone or anything that could help me and I had given up on life.Just his smile and bedside manner gave me a good feeling and after we talked and he did … More
