Doctor Rakesh Rohatgi saved my life! He took amazing care of me and listened! He found an amazing surgeon that removed my cancer! His staff is amazing and caring. Love them all! I have found Dr. Rohtgi to be thorough and very competent. His assistant is also very capable. She takes a lot of time to listen and document your questions. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait but I can deal with that.

Very caring staff. Very knowledgeable doctor. Yes sometimes it's a little slow but that's because the doctor takes his time with each patient. Would highly recommend this place to anybody who needed treatment.

I did not get a good feeling during our initial visit. Waited more than normal time in his actual office. Did not apologize for the delay. My time is just important as his. During the conversation did not attempted eye contact after the introduction. Poor follow up. Left messages both voice messages, emails and went physically to the Brownwood location for my temp disability insurance doc to be signed. Gave him the documents in a folder over 2 weeks prior to due date. It was just ONE PAGE!!! The folder contained instructions for the requested form, my business contact info to contact upon completion. Nothing!!! Called the office again. Was told the folder was left for him to sign. The Items in my folder was scanned into my record and returned for him to sign. He would be in the office on Friday. My expectation was that he would complete the form as I was told. I called the office the following Monday, he did not sign the forms. I was told that he would be in the office the following Friday. Another message was left with him about the form. The following Monday I called. I had 2 days left to obtain the physician auth form so I could them have my job complete it and forward to the insurance company. Guess what? He is now on vacation for a week!!! I was diagnosed with Cancer. Along with all the other stress in my life, obtaining a form from the physical provided over 2 weeks ago should not be this stressful. I requested a transfer to another doctor. So super excited to be with Dr. Fowale. What a gem. The clerks at Brownwood are all over the top with providing superior customer assistance as well as follow up. Shout out to Eloise and Business Manager Amber. They intervene immediately, heard my concerns and tried to find a solution. The form was finally filled out by another medical staff - who filled it out incorrectly. It is a mess. If you are unfortunate enough to find yourself in need of cancer care in The Villages, do not visit this location of FL Cancer Specialists. Dr. Rohatgi may be an adequate physician - my mother passed away 4 months after her diagnosis so it's hard for me to say - but his office is TERRIBLE. Unfortunately we were going there for care during the pandemic, but even compared to other doctor offices, they made very little effort to make their patients comfortable and safe given COVID. Elderly patients on chemo were told to wait outside in their hot cars. The office itself is small, dark, crowded and not ADA compliant. The medical staff is condescending to their predominantly elderly patients. The number 2 in the office is either a PA or a NP and she is AWFUL. She was downright hostile and mean to my mom who was facing and end of life situation. I could go on....go anywhere else for care if you possibly can. Excellent Dr, very caring and knowledgeable. I love him.

Dr. Rohatghi has been my Doctor since 2002. In my opinion he is the most intelligent, informed, compassionate Cancer Doctors in Central Florida. Doctor Rohatghi fights for his patients. Fights for the best life and indeed long cancer free life they can have. He leaves no stone unturned. If Doctor Rohatghi feels you are not getting the absolute best care in his office and by other Doctors, he cares enough to step in and get you the care you need. This Doctor has kept me alive since 2002. I would not put my life in any other Doctors hands.

Dr Rohatgi does not like being asked questions. He has zero bedside manner. When trying to ask about treatment and care and sharing information that other Drs and nurses gave us, that she was too weak for surgery, he yelled and told us that they didn’t know what they were talking about and that he was the only one who did. He convinced my mother that surgery was her only option and that he would not do chemo until she had the surgery. We tried to explain to him that our mother doesn’t do well with surgery when she is healthy let alone after losing 40 pounds, being under nourished, and diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Received a phone call from their billing staff. First of all, the woman was coughing the ENTIRE time and I couldn't make out a word she was saying, when I finally managed to get that she was calling about a bill and asking for insurance information from a hospital visit from last year, I tried to explain that my husband didn't have insurance at the time and we are planning to pay but it was only recently that we have had any income, and we are planning on making payments as soon as possible, considering this is for a HOSPITAL VISIT (aka he was in the hospital for a week, not that they diagnosed him properly and told us the wrong thing to do to help heal his wounds. like I said, i TRIED to explain because she kept interrupting and talking over me and when I asked her if she would let me talk or if she keeps interrupting me I will end this call, she accused ME of being rude. first of all, this call was in the middle of my DINNER. I am trying to explain that payments will be on the way soon but can't because you can't shut up and listen. YOU called ME. I definitely suggest seeing other doctors if you can. from misdiagnosis to their staff having a problem listening, you are better off going to another county to go to the hospital.
