Dr. Rakesh Pravin Chokshi

I'm new to Florence. I have chronic back pain n I was referred to Dr Chokshi, this man is amazing to me. He listen to my problems and concerns. He sent me for a MRI, on my follow-up visit, we discussed surgery. I have been praying for some type of pain relief. The staff there are wonderful.

I have had strong feelings against this man for 10yrs now. He not only miss diagnosed me but told me I was there to get pain medicine when I had no record of pain medicine before except with a kidney stone. Chockski told me I just had a bulging disc and here's some mortrin. 2months later after I was beginning to not being able to walk bc of the pain I got another opinion and was in surgery 4 days later due to the fact I had degenerative disc disease, 3 herniated disc, 2 fractured vertebrae, lateral lumbar sprain, facet joint damage in 3 locations, and arthritis. So tell me how someone who is of good practice misses this. I advise going else where. Everything stated here is truth and have the ability to prove. Shirley Williams my mother had frontal neck surgery. Moma went in vibrant independent woman and 3 hours later came out with a mind like a 3 year old. We still don't know what happened. Dr Edwards has her MRI of her brain but since COVID hit has yet to tell me anything. Everyone thinks my moma has dementia and hypoxia can make people think this. Experienced, knowledgeable and highly skillful doctor. He was recommended very highly by one of our relative. I took my wife from Atlanta, GA to Florence, SC to his hospital/office for spine surgery in September, 2020. It was 300 miles away! He listens to patient's concerns and explains in details. No rush!! Down to earth, soft spoken doctor. Great quality you can expect in your doctor. Medical/physical problems are painful, scary and you hope to reach a good doctor. Look no more! Took my wife in last September, 2020 for spine surgery for all the way from Atlanta, GA. 300 miles away! My wife was happy that she did it. He is a great well experienced and highly knowledgeable doctor. Listens to your concerns and questions and will answer in details. Never rushed! Great staff too. Can't ask more for a medical doctor one wish. Thank you form our bottom of our hearts.

They are friendly at the front desk some of the nurses in the back are kinda quiet really don't talk to you they do there job the go to the next room. Not really any bedside manner. I can say dont be late or reschedule you to a date that best fits your schedule because they will see everyone that was originally scheduled for that day and have you sit for hours in the waiting room this was my experience with the wait time it was horrible knowing your hurting from sitting in one spot for hours and people stair at you because your up and down so you fill bad and embarrassed because of that fact. They have no concern in the wait time. Doctor Chokshi has good bedside manners and trys to work with you the best he can I would say he do s spend as much time with his patients as he can he does with me. I will be leaving more as soon as I have my surgery and how that goes but sad that the wait time is so long. This office is horrible. The staff is rude and they are not helpful at all. Instead of handling a patients call, they hang up on you. Dr. Chokshi is a decent doctor but his staff is awful. I have never had a phone call returned and instead have to drive to office to get an appointment scheduled. It’s worth driving further away to deal with better staff that aren’t sitting on their cell phones instead of helping customers.

Doctor Chokshi performed my 4level neck surgery a few years ago. Doctor Chokshi and his staff were wonderful. They helped ease any fears and concerns I had about the surgery. Doctor Chokshi has the most calm and caring personality. Doctor Chokshi came to me highly recommended by a friend he had performed surgery on.

Dr. Chokshi did my neck surgery and I've felt like a different person ever since. He answered all of my questions in a way I could understand.

Dr Chokshi diagnosed my back problem very quickly and gave me his medical opinion on correcting it. Dr Chokshi and his medical staff were very professional and my back issue has been corrected.The hospital stay at Mcleod hospital in Florence South Carolina was the best experience that I have had for a surgical procedure. I am extremely satisified with the entire process.
