After being misdiagnosed with Sciatica nerve pain for years, to then being told I now need bypass surgery with only a 40% chance for success, I found my self feeling uneasy. I decided to get a new PCP and a second opinion. I was sent to Dr. Sharma at the Advanced Heart and Vein Clinic right away by my PCP. I can not begin to express the compassion shown to me from Dr. Sharma and his team. Dr. Sharma while on Vacation answered my personal phone call and upon hearing my stress about the bypass that was still scheduled connected me with Dr. Molavi. Not only did they get me in for surgery within days but showed determination taking 4 hours to clear the complete blockages in my leg. After my surgery I was told that while doing my surgery they found nothing a bypass could have connected to and that the bypass would have failed, hence the determination to preform a miracle. I would have lost my leg. I am forever, extremely grateful to have found such caring doctors and team.

I was scheduled for a vein ablation, the result of the treatment appears to be satisfactory. This review is more for the treatment received from Dr Sharma's team, and the total disrespect shown towards my wife. For my treatment I was surprised that no vital signs were checked prior to or after my treatment, I have asked if this is usual treatment, but received no response. My wife (who was there to support me and be my driver) was made to feel unwelcome and disrespected when sitting in the prep part of my treatment. My treatment went longer than the 1 hour indicated, once wrapped up the assistant went to tell my wife that I would be out soon, her actual words were "he survived, he's still alive, will be out soon", hardly an appropriate or professional message to a waiting relative. I then developed a bleed from the wound, and was detailed another 30 minutes while they attempted to stop it. Totally unprofessional communications, before during and after treatment. No apology!

I was referred to Dr. Sharma's office by my orthopedic surgeon. Dr Sharma did not seem to understand why I was referred, and told me he was unable to read the MRI data I provided. Nevertheless, he happily scheduled an ultrasound that didn't even include the tarsal tunnel area of my foot where I explained (and the MRI would have shown him) there was a vein problem.

The best! My husband and I have been his patients approximately 10 years and have found him to be extremely professional, experienced, friendly, warm and compassionate. I would highly recommend him. I cannot answer some of the following questions, as he has recently moved and I haven't been to his new office in order to rate the new facility and staff.

Dr Sharma is a incredible cardiologist. Talking to him is quite the experience. Down to earth cardiologist with compassion!

Excellent doctor. His bedside manner is kind. He seemed to truly care about me. His treatment was thorough and he was good at educating and explaining my condition to me. I highly recommend him. He is knowledgable and is able to translate his "doctor knowledge" well to laymans terms and put me at ease. Great doctor.

Dr. Sharma is a very caring and kind and good surgeon. I would recommend him in a heartbeat........no pun intended.
