I had my surgery done by Dr Kathuria Dec, 2022. He answered all of my concerns pre-op and surgery went very well. I went into my surgery confident and knowing what to expect post op. His skills are amazing. His office staff is very nice and professional.

Could not have been better. He is phenomenal and has surrounded himself with exceptional team. He runs a tight ship that creates confidence in the patient. I don’t know how he can run such a busy and quality schedule. I had mitral valve repair and walked out a week later with a heart performing perfectly

My heart had stopped, revived by CPR. Transported via ambulance to the hospital. Tests confirmed a bad heart valve and an aneurysm on my aorta. They asked who I wanted. I said your best. 2 months and 8 days l was on the operation table. 4 weeks out and I'm feeling great. Dr Kathuria has the talent to fix my heart. Many thanks

Dr. Kathuria performed my recent quadruple bypass, and my experience from pre-op to post-hospital follow-up could not have been better! My son, a surgeon himself, asked quite a few detailed questions of Dr. Kathuria, and Dr. Kathuria answered each of his questions with immense patience and depth. His poise and the sense of ease that he exudes is unparalleled, and upon meeting him, I instantly knew that I was in the best of hands. My experience at Banner Boswell was impressive from beginning to end--from Kelsi, Dr. Kathuria's PA, who visited me two-three times per day to answer all my questions and ensure that I was doing well, to Roberta, cardiac ICU nurse, who treated me as though I was her own family member. I truly cannot thank Dr. Kathuria and his team enough for rendering me the highest level of care during one of the most tumultuous times of my life.

I had a 100% blockage of my LAD and since no one in my family had heart issues, i didn’t know what to expect. Dr K was very direct in how he was going to do the bypass surgery and what to expect longterm. Pretty much no “if ands or buts”. Something that i needed to hear b cause my mind was conjuring up all sorts of things. Thanks Doc, to you and your great team

Dr. Kathuria and his Team are incredible. I told my friend (in the cardiology field in Phx) that I needed a bypass and he ask me what surgeon I was referred to and I told him Dr. Kathuria, the first words out of his mouth,..."he is the best in the state" It made me feel relaxed in this uncertain time. The surgery got started late (unknown to my wife) and my wife started to get nervous that there may be complications and was relieved when she got a call from a nurse explaining to her the everything was going good just a late start. My wife got another call after the bypass was completed and they just had to close me up. After the surgery the Doc called my wife and explained to her how everything went and that I was in recovery and what to expect over the next 12 hours or so. I was examined every morning by Dr. Bill (Dr. Kathuria's right hand) and given a progress update and where we were headed. These two guys are no nonsense and take a lot of pride in what they do and the results prove it. My work was a positive mindset and I made a effort to push myself to walk and walk, (in the hospital) this helped me the most to recovery quickly and to get back home. Before we knew who Dr. Kathuria was we checked him out on line and we were most impressed. Then after surgery and in rehab, one of the nurses stated that where ever she was in the US, if she had a heart issue she'd be coming back to Peoria to be treated by non but Dr. Kathuria! That says it all!! He checks all the boxes, Answers all question, takes time to explain every little detail and makes sure you are not only informed, but completely understand everything. He is in my mind the best of the best, bar none!!!!

There was no doubt about the excellent skill level of Dr. Kathuria and the patient care at Boswell is now very compassionate and kind. Both my husband and myself were treated by Dr Kathuria and both of us had outstanding outcomes. (triple bypass and aortic valve replacement) He makes sound and knowledgeable decisions?? would solidly recommend him.

I had 2 botched aortic valve repair/replacement surgeries from another surgeon, with 1 foot in the grave I was referred to Dr. Kathuria by a cardiologist in Scottsdale. Dr. Kathuria took my case very seriously and cared a lot about me. Because of the 2 previous surgeries, Dr. Kathuria went through a very difficult long surgical procedure to replace my aortic valve. 12 years later I'm still active, happy, and healthy. He has incredible talent and experience for what he does, if I ever have another heart issue I would absolutely go to him again. How do you thank a man that saved your husbands life. Our story in short. My husband had a mesh aortic root and a tissue valve installed (pig valve) our Friday night was here and he passed out and just “felt something was wrong” the surgeon that performed his initial surgery said he was “unwilling to help” weather it was because it was a Friday night or whatever. We ended up getting Dr. Kathuria. He was a God send. It turned out my husband had a softball size blood clot that formed in the mesh root valve and he should have died even before surgery... this man saved his life. It was 1:40am when he went into surgery.. he came out ALIVE at 8:09am. I should have walked out of that hospital a widow at only 33 years old (husband is 40) but I didn’t.. he took on this crazy surgery and he didn’t only save my husbands life. I am the wife of one of his recent patients. He and his office were kind and yet professional. While he was in surgery we were updated often and after Dr Kathuria came to let us know what was done and how it went. He was obviously extremely talented and confident. I had my bypass surgery on the 6th of June 2017. Dr Kathuria did an excellent job, honestly the day after the surgery i barely had a little pain, recovery was without any problem. I was honored that he had operated on me, on a personal level , he is a very nice, professional, humble man . I was a dead man, Dr. Kathuria pulled me out of my grave by my wasted heart and repaired it dispite a unique issue he had never encountered... the likely hood I would live another day was paper thin. That was 5/10/2018; It's 6/5/2018 and I'm going home. Thank you Dr. K, you and your team at Banner Boswell are professional humanitarians, ya-all are my heart heroes! If you need a heart surgeon, look no further! Dr. Kathuria is the best! He replaced an aortic valve and 4 by-passes on my husband who developed complications and Dr. Kathuria saved his life. We had tears at our last appt. as we felt secure and safe in his care. We've never seen such a dedicated, skilled doctor. I would rate Dr. Kathuria as 5 stars +++++

I had my bypass surgery done by Dr Kathuria on the 6th of June 2017. Perfect job, even the first day in the ICU, barely had any pain. Recovering was with no complication, just overall an excellent job. On a personal level, He is a very carrying , professional and i was most taken back how humble he is. If you are fortunate enough to have dr Kathuria as your surgeon, you should be really not worry, you are in excellent hands, and your recovery will be smooth and speedy. Joseph

Dr. Kathuria has performed open heart surgery on both of my parents. He is a professional who will watch out for his patients and will be direct with you. I can't believe the hours he works when performing surgery. Thank you for saving both my mom and dad!

Dr . Kathuria saved my fathers life. He has major heart issues and thanks to Dr. Katherine he is still with us today. I have never seen a Dr. so dedicated. Thank God for him, without him I don't think my father would be here today.

Dr. Kathuria performed mitral valve repair for me. During our consultations he was very certain I would need a replacement valve so I chose the one that was best for me. During surgery however, Dr. Kathuria discovered he could repair my valve.My new cardiologist believes Dr. Kathuria is extremely ethical based on the fact that the surgery would have been easier if he had done the replacement. 1.5 years later I am healthy with no murmur! Thank you!

DOC DID QUAD BYPASS ON ME AUGUST OF 2015. 3 STENTS WHEN I WAS 48 YEARS OF AGE, NOW 63 DOING GREAT. HIGHLY RECOMMEND, FREINDLY TOOK TIME TO EXPLAIN.. TANKS DOC.
