I have been seeing Dr. Murphy for over 20 years and now live on the southshore and still cross lake to see her. She is the most professional dr. I have ever had. And she and her staff should get a 6 star rating. PERIOD. Never had one moment of trouble. She has the biggest heart ever. And yes she will tell it like it is. And I appreciate it. Wouldn't stop crossing that lake to not see her.

I have worked for and with many people in my forty some years. I can truly say Dr. Rachael Murphy is the best and through her over the past several months an amazing work family and team has been forged. She is a kind, compassionate and real person and physician. She treats her staff and her patients like she would want to be treated and that “Golden Rule” shines! I made a new patient appointment with the NP a month in advance specifically for first patient of the day so that I would miss the least amount of work . A week before the appointment, they called and cancelled it and the first they could get me in was a month later at 9:45. I was told that she should still be on time since it was still an early appointment. In prep for this appointment I had printed and filled out all the paperwork and fasted knowing there would likely be blood work needed. I arrived at 9:35, handed over paperwork, DL, CC, and insurance card. At 10:15 I asked if it was going to be much longer and was told “we’ll get you back there in 5 min”. I asked “to see the doctor?” The answer was yes. About 5 min later I was taken back by the nurse who did the usual preliminary stuff. She left the room at 10:30 and said the doc would be right in. At 11am I walked up to front desk and asked them to refund my co-pay which they did. They apologized and said that she tends to run late on appointments about every other day. There were 6-8 people in the waiting room…I hope they brought some snacks because it’s going to be awhile! It’s rude and disrespectful to do this to customers (yes I said customers because I certainly pay for the services of doctors!). the absolute worst doctor ive ever had. has zero concern for the patient's feelings or point of view. enough of an issue for me to take time to write this review. Rude, condescending, , doesn't do what she says she will do, and very accusatory. Obviously her main concern is the money and how quickly she can turn patients. Horrible experience. This office has the most amazing, caring, and knowledgeable Doctors and staff around! They are always on top of everything and very helpful!

Good luck getting a call back from the nurses or getting them to follow through with anything. My last visit I was completely looked over and sat in the waiting area for an hour and a half just to be told, "I don't know what happened.." Time to start looking for another doctor.

First doctor's office I have been to with a lounge chair in the patient's room, .... I loved it. This doctor is wonderful. She takes her time with you and she does not leave a stone unturned. She is the only doctor in years that have helped me with hormone issues anxiety problems and thyroid problems. . Not only is she an excellent doctor she has the empathy of your mother. Horrible experience. Never on time. Cancels visits for personal reasons constantly. Prescribed generic drugs with known deficiencies. Terrible demeanor and extremely arrogant.

Worst doctor I have ever been to. Very unprofessional and extremely rude.

Short Story.... Had a problem w alcohol all my life but became worse when retired. Was day and night . Had other problems including cardiac . Was driven to Cardiologist and after exam said I should immediately see Dr. Murphy and called her office for appt. 1st next morning . Had to be driven also for that appt. Bad shape . I had never stopped for any significant time but I am now 3 yrs. w/o any alcohol . I have continued her as my internist and have gotten my life back . All good things you hear about sobriety is true . My Family especially . Part of maintaining sobriety is helping others , which is this letter and my Highest recommendation for Dr. Murphy ! Oh, She is Internal Medicine with advanced training in Addiction . I wish that this short story could really describe how wonderful each Day has become . She succeeded when others ... well I had given up hope of being helped by anyone and their were many attempts .

A great doctor if you are healthy. Unfortunately, she will leave you high and dry when you actually need a doctor.

The rudest and unprofessional doctor I’ve ever encountered. She canceled appointments for “change of providers schedule”, then when you call multiple times everyday to reschedule, no one answered the phone and finally 19 days later I got a call back saying there was “phone issues”, which was a lie and at one point yeh doctor blamed me!! I had proof at the time but was so flustered m, shocked and devastated to be treated like that that I didn’t realize it until later. Another patient came in and wasn’t accepting that excuse because he and someone else called and even showed up to the office multiple times with it being closed so the receptionist finally came clean and said the doctor was out of town for a few weeks. So she abandoned her patients for weeks without their meds and lied about it then tried to shift blame on her patients. When I asked her about it, she slammed her fist on the desk and swung her chair around and started cussing at me. I’m a very meek, shy, Not confrontational, anxious, terrified, and suicidal. She even told me at one point that she “didn’t give a f***!” She also talks about her patients to other patients which violates HIPPA.. I could go on and on about the unprofessional and terrible treatment I received but this is already too long. Save yourself the trouble and find a better doctor. I tried almost half a dozen doctors, all who barely made eye contact while they spent 5 minutes listening to you list symptoms and moments after would prescribe you whatever the pharm rep gave them that week. I have see Dr. Murphy for many years. She is kind, compassionate, and understanding. She is an amazing diagnostician!

Wonderful compassionate doctor who really gets to know her patients. She is extremely thorough and knowledgeable and takes time to really listen to her patients. She is about finding answers and not just giving meds for symptoms. Highly highly recommend.

Absolutely horrible! Went to her to discuss changing my medicine and within 60 seconds she threw my wife out. She didn't listen to one word I said. Shenever gave me a second to discuss my medicine she persribed me. Then she rewrote the same prescription and told me to leave. On my way out she proceeded to come out of the office and tell everyone that we were to 2 craziest lunatic patients she's ever seen. Totally unprofessional. I'm contacting her employer and an attorney.

I was a new patient to Dr. Murphy about 2 yrs ago, and she was very thorough and truly listened to my medical history. Due to her really listening to my symptoms, she was able to discover that the antidepressant I had been on for 4 yrs was wrecking havoc on my body. It had thrown me into premature menopause, adrenal exhaustion and osteopenia. I just thought my declining energy was due to the stresses of life. One week after stopping the med, I had a menstrual cycle. My life is back!
