Dr. Kappius acts like a toddler when frustrated even slamming the door on you when she decides she's done answering questions. Her staff is rude and arrogant her nurse tends to treat you like you are less than human, talking down to you and treating you like you are stupid. Every visit is uncomfortable and cold. 10/10 wouldn't recommend, unless you enjoy being ignored and leaving with unanswered questions and feeling about 2 inches tall. My general practitioner referred me to Dr. Kappius almost two years ago due to a basal cell carcinoma on my cheek. She thoroughly explained to me the procedure to remove it and put me at ease. In addition, from the very beginning, she helped me become more knowledgeable about how to care for my skin. Every checkup, she asks me if I have any questions and I have had many. Each time she takes as much time as needed to give me answers that are easy to understand and help me better know what lies ahead. Not only is she great, but the entire staff from the front desk to her assistant’s friendly and helpful demeanor make my appointments enjoyable. At first I wondered who my general practitioner was sending me to, but it turns out he sent me to the best dermatologist on the Western Slope. This spring, I brought my 86yo mother in law to see Dr. Kappius. The mole that had to be removed was cancerous and involved more than an office visit procedure. Dr. Kappius was fantastic in explaining to us what the mole was, what needed to happen, and how to go about it. Three months later, the situation is much improved. I loved dealing with Dr. K and her office staff through what was a challenging medical ordeal, made better and easier by kind, caring, communicative providers. We highly recommend Dr. Kappius. OTC skin products and a strict skin care routine were not enough to deal with my hormonal acne. Dr. Kappius dialed in the products that I was using on my skin and added prescriptions to treat the cause, now my acne breakouts are gone and the dark spots are fading! I feel so confident and I am not trying to hide my skin behind tinted products anymore. I would highly recommend Dr. Kappius to anybody looking to improve their skin condition. Dr. Kappius is personable, professional, and knowledgeable. She put my mind at ease at once by clearly and thoroughly explaining every detail. My procedure was quick and painless; I trust this doctor completely.

Dr. Kappius.....what more can I say....she is incredibly gifted and I could not be more pleased after my surgery. I had a good sized lipoma on my head that embarrassed me and inconvenienced me for years. For me this was a scary journey to begin. Enter Rachael Kappius. From the moment I stepped into the office I felt reassured and very comfortable. After speaking with her I was so confident and excited to go through with the removal procedure. If that wasn’t enough, they were able to get me in the very next day!!!! The surgery was painless, and Dr. Kappius and her amazing assistant made it a great experience. To further my praise, her skill is beyond words. My head is perfectly symmetrical now, and I have to say her stitches were the best I had ever seen. From start to finish, Dr. Kappius exceeded my expectations and I recommend her to anyone! Especially if you are nervous or unsure about how to tackle an issue like mine. Dr. Kappius is wonderful. My first visit she took time to check for abnormal looking areas . She was gentle and explained what she was doing when she took samples for biopsy. After I had my stitches out for the basil cell skin cancer she removed the Pilar Cyst and again was very gentle and explained what she was doing. Both areas have healed nicely. I am so Thankful.

Yes, I would highly recommend Dr. Kappius for all dermatological and cosmetic procedures. She listened and asked questions about my concerns , and would then offer her suggestions, which made for a great environment. Dr, Kappius has a wonderful personality and manner which makes you feel comfortable and no question was too small. I always left her office feeling beautiful and youthful. Her services will be greatly missed, but, Colorado you have gained a wonderful surgeon and friend.

Dr Kappius is a fantastic dermatology physician. She was spot-on in diagnosing my skin condition and it cleared up right away. I have also been to her for cosmetic procedures and after listening to what I wanted, offered her opinions, which were often the best solution, and I'm very pleased with the outcome. She is very easy to talk with and has a good sense of humor. You can trust your dermatologic care to Dr Kappius. She is one of the best.

As a healthcare worker myself, I have worked with many physicians. Dr. Kappius is truly one that stands out. I was immediately put at ease when I went to my first appointment with her kind demeanor. She truly listened to my concerns and addressed them appropriately. She discussed all my options and we came to a decision together about my treatment. I really appreciated her taking time to explain everything which is rare now in healthcare! You can guarantee you are getting an intelligent, compassionate physician when you visit Dr. Kappius. Highly recommend!

Dr. Kappius is a God send. Anytime anything pops up on my skin- acne, a rash, a burn, she can identify it precisely and treat it perfectly. I don’t use google to figure out what I need to do because I know that Dr. Kappius will know. I’m so afraid of her like moving or something like that. Maybe I would follow her! Seriously though, all jokes aside, she is hands down amazing.

Dr. Kappius treated my acne, and I highly recommend her. She is intelligent and professional, and listened to all of my concerns. She came up with a skin care regimen that is both effective and sustainable. Will definitely continue going back to her!
