This Doctor is the worst doctor ever! My son was born with club foot! I took him one time at that was enough! My son had surgery from another doctor - Dr. Nemit basically wanted the surgery to be done again because he didn’t do the surgery! Why would he even consider that! He is extremely rude! I left his office in tears!

This doctor told someone I know personally “Your just fat” and told her mom “You have no commen sense she’s just fat” and also called there family “poor”. He is very unprofessional his own daughter said “Imagine growing up with him” and his assistant said “I’m so sorry” too the family. I took my 2 year old son here for visit based on a referral from the ER (Children and Women's hospital). We got there about 30mins early as we were new to this Dr. Well, we waited 1.5 before I decided to leave. I left because they overbooked. I was told after an hour of waitingthat 5 more patients was ahead of us. While waiting I found another ped orthopedic, and we left. Reading all the reviews while waiting didn't help either. I had went to see this doctor because my pediatrician sent me and my mom. My knee was the size of a melon and I was in a lot of pain. I couldn’t even walk properly. He asked me to run down this long hall way. Once I was done he walked back into the rooms and told my mom she needed common sense because I was just fat and I was there because I was poor but he said they were gonna do an x-ray anyway and he rolled his eyes while saying it. The staff that done my x-ray was very rude and did not listen when I told them that hurt. But he came back and said I was just fat multiple times again. The pain ended up being so bad I had to go to Alabama orthopedic clinic and I ended up having three tears in my lateral meniscus which the staff at six was amazing and I recommend them way more than dr.Nimit. He has no bed side manner and doesn’t need to be working with children if he can’t be nice. His assistant or the person who was in residency was trying to ask him if something was off with the swelling and he just plain out interrupted him and ignore him. The assistant ended up apologizing to us about how rude he was. But everybody I had talked to that had went to him all said he had a terrible bedside manner. Please whatever you do don’t take your children here I had never been so upset like that in my life and it just hurt I ended up seeing his daughter as a therapist and his daughter was like “imagine growning up with him” so I realized I wasn’t the only one who had experienced his terrible work. Dr. Nimit is remarkable and very knowledgeable. The passion in his work speaks for itself. Thank you Dr. Nimit for diagnosing and operating on my daughter in 2003. Her life was forever changed!

My Son, Toby has seen Dr.Nimit since 2015....he had to have surgery on his hip 3 times that year because he kept getting knocked down at school while on crutches and it caused lots of damage. In 2016 he had hip fusion surgery and was in a body cast for 7 weeks, he got sick and stayed 3 weeks in the hospital. He's had a few more surgeries since then....Dr.Nimit has always been very nice to us and is always looking for ways to help my Son. His Nurse Dee, his Staff and PA's are always very nice too. They know who we are when they see us and they always ask Toby how he's doing. Dr.Nimit has also seen 2 of my other Son's, years ago. Preformed surgery on my son and needless to say it did not go well. He ended up paralyzed for 6 to 8 months years of therapy everyday it's hard. I didnt blame him things happen but the after care he gave my son was phenomenal he made sure he saw my son regularly until he walked again. My son was 13 now he's 26 we still deal with the aftermath of his surgery everyday. Preformed surgery on my son and needless to say it did not go well. I was a patient through out the 80’s an 90’s with dr Nimit and he was a great Dr. he done his very best to make certain that I lived as normal as possible for a child with CP. and thus far I have.

Dr Nimit is an amazing physician. He did a remarkable job on my daughters arm after she’d practically shattered her elbow. Honestly didn’t think she’d have full range of motion but she uses it like nothing ever happened. He & his staff was always very friendly & courteous. I highly recommend him!

From a friend who's baby has Menkes. How heartless can you be?! I will never go back to that dr again. Instead of telling me that I should do everything humanly possible to help Leland he proceeds to tell me that He will never walk and he will never crawl and he will never talk and all the therapies are just a waste of time. You know I could have handled that if he had only said it once but NO he kept going on and on and on about if God wanted him to walk he would already be walking by now or talking he said that if he wasn't born with it in his brain then he will never have it.. Worst doctor ever. Told a parent of his patient that she should just give up on her son becuase all therapies were a waste of time for him. Said the child will never walk, will never crawl, that if the child wasn't born with it in his head then he never would. Dr. Nimit should never tell a mother to give up on her child. What a heartless man. I will never trust my child in his medical hands. Worst doctor ever. His bedside manners were the absolute worst. I waited months to see this doctor because of his travel schedule, I took time out of my day because I wanted what was best for my daughter and I heard he was the best. He basically told me I took her to see him for braces on her legs so I could “take her to the local Kmart and snap a picture”. I have never had this terrible of experience with a doctor. Very experienced in what he does. Willing to do whatever he can to help you understand your condition. Willing to check up on you far after surgery if you feel the need to call.

Dr. Nimit is amazing!!! He did my Club Feet surgery when I was a baby and I truly thank him for all his help. His staff is very caring and considerate and I would recommend him to anyone!!
