Pramila Nathan

I saw Dr. Nathan for years. After she made a change to my medication I had a bad reaction. I tried contacting her for three days, leaving messages each day. She did not return my calls. I became suicidal and luckily was able to get to the emergency room. After being in the hospital for 5 days, during which time the hospital tried reaching her several times she finally called my house number to ask if everything was okay. My family member who answered the phone told her I was in the hospital but she never called there. The hospital was able to get me in to see a new psychiatrist upon discharge. Dr. Nathan never reached out to me again.

She quite literally ghosted me when I was in need of medication and had been seeing her for years. I tried many many forms of communication and did not receive any messages from her or her assistant.

My experience with Dr. Nathan was extremely discouraging. This incident occurred three years ago, but was a minor at the time and did not feel comfortable leaving a public review on the matter. I was prescribed an antidepressant to which I had an extremely negative psychological reaction. My parents called Dr. Nathan for guidance on how to proceed with this medication, but were only able to reach her assistant, who informed us that Dr. Nathan was on vacation. My parents made it very clear that this was an emergency situation, and requested her personal number, which we were given. However, she never picked up my parents' calls. My pediatrician tried contacting her as well, but was also ignored. Because this was an emergency, I had to find a new psychiatrist within the week to help me safely get off this medication. To this day, we have not heard from Dr. Nathan regarding the incident.

This is the worst doctor I have ever seen. She is condescending, lack real empathy or care and frankly, seems a little bored with her work.
