Let me tell you my long story as brief as possible. I was 10 Y.O. she promised my mother grades would improve, my social stance with my peers, and my overall, quality of life. First, it began as anxiety she lable me having for not talking much. She said, " a man has all the words a woman has. There must be a bubble bouncing in your belly induced from this pill, until a simmering boil turns to steam, and like a tea kettle it must pop." So, my journey of medicine began. It turned out I had sleeping problems from the medication, but to her, a new symptom occurred of bipolar...again, slept fine without medication, but whatever too many years have occurred since seeing her. She pounced upon more diagnoses such as depression from all the sleep the pills caused where I was sleeping 12 hours and groggy 4 hours of the day. She insisted the medication was working and all I saw was my brain slowing and large, dilated eyes...again never did drugs besides what she prescribed. Eventually, I started cutting pills and she would make them so small and if I was taken off of one she would slowly cut the dosage for months...there are books that tell of clients being cut down for over 18 months before cancelling the medication. There are many books on this topic. Seek a library or book store. Someone with average intelligence can understand these books about medication abuse in America. Progressing forward in my inconsequential story, I graduated high school with the opposite of what she promised. I wanted to further my education, like any person would. I went to college still seeing her, was harassed from a bunch of people who deemed that me being a virgin was no longer acceptable, more than one person was involved. Needless to say, I left college, am now schizophrenic, have been hospitalized 16 times, and have no contact with my parents since they believe she is smarter than me, dresses nice, and cares about people (if she cared so much why 5-minute appointments without all these scientific tools to measure the diagnoses of her patients). Non of the "voices" or hallucinations followed me once I was kicked out from my parent's house and moved...but I'm told schizophrenia adapts differently for each person ????. I'm not schizophrenic. While this lady was treating me she kept trying a 3-medication combination to better my life during my college years. She never answered questions, mocked me, told me I had poor insight, and had a low imagination when I tried to quit medication. She raised her head said, " I'm right" as if she confirmed her brilliance over our 5-minute sessions, 3 of which was dedicated to rescheduling our appointment while i recall she stated," I really need a secretary to schedule my appointments because this type of work is difficult for someone of my intelligence." She helped me go to lamb foundation for housing, and my review is under that location as well. All I can say now is, I'm 30-years-old, no college degree, no skills since I haven't done anything other than pills and lounge about, and I cannot join the military. I cannot sue this lady since doctors can get away with drugging their patients as they choose as long as their patients do not die. There are volumes of this material in Libraries or book stores. Search medication and "abuse" or "America" and you will find a sea of information on this topic. I've called years later and she never cared once to return one of my calls, but she has called the cops on me...haven't seen her in years since my insurance ran dry with my parents. I advise against medication without knowledge even if you do not believe my short story, read books or search some documentaries. I prefer books since some of the documentaries have nonsense about stress affecting DNA...again not a doctor, but that has been debunked information as well. Dr. Patel is highly educated and knows her stuff! I've been seeing her since 2014. If you are fair with her she will be fair for you. Late and no show fees really rocks healthcare and especially mental healthcare. Know that medical and mental healthcare are businesses. Would you like to not get paid because someone doesn't show or be late?

Dr. Patel has been my doctor for over 10 years. She is kind, compationate, and professional. I have and will continue to recommend her without hesitation.

I cannot believe how this woman runs her office. First, she has no qualms about making you feel bad. And then there are the countless signs about late cancellation fees. Finally, the holding of your prescriptions until you come into the office for a visit with no regard to your life or work. Very sad.
