Dr. Castera and Paige SAVED me from constant suffering. He knew my issues needed quick attention and made every effort to help me. I am grateful to have my life back due to his help!!!

The doctor refused to acknowledge an injury the was made by another surgeon.

Dr Castera did a great job of explaining everything he was going to do in surgery and gave me peace of mind when he talked to me while I was waiting to go back to surgery. He answered all Of my questions and relieved my anxiety. I would highly recommend him!

I went to Colorectal Surgical Associates, very nervous, and not knowing what would happen. Dr. Castera and his nurse were very easy to talk with, and made me feel comfortable. You could tell that Dr. Castera is very knowledgeable and cares about his patients. Also, I never had to wait in the office for long periods. Definitely recommend Dr. Castera.

My visit to Dr. Castera’s office was fantastic! His staff quickly had me scheduled within a couple of days. The nurses are incredibly empathetic and Dr. Castera is a friendly, compassionate professional Dr., who makes you feel at home. He scheduled me for two weeks after my initial visit, but then when I had to call back a few days later to see if I could get seen any sooner because of my pain level, his wonderful staff again, got me in a couple days later. They are caring people up there and I would recommend them to anyone!

I have always found Dr. Castera to be professional and informative during our appointments. My prior surgery went very well and recovery was quick. I have no qualms about my upcoming surgery.

I visited Dr. Castera a few weeks ago. First time visiting this type of specialist. He made me feel very much at ease. Discussed not only my current problem, but lifestyle, diet, etc. and provided recommendations for preventive care. He also provided several options for treatment based on my schedule. There are not enough words to describe my experience with Dr Castera. I loved him! He explained the procedure in-depth, what to expect for recovery, great manners, caring doctor, gets to know you personally. His office staff was caring as well. Overall, I would refer anyone to him that is having issues with internal or external hemorrhoids. I would have the surgery all over again as well! Don't be scared, take the first step!

I saw Dr Castera first in the office then later in an outpatient surgical setting. In both instances he was friendly and cordial and seemed very engaged in our dialogue. His staff is over-the-top friendly. Very helpful in scheduling procedures and tests and working with insurance. I’ve only seen Dr Castera twice so far but I feel very confident with his care going forward and I would recommend him.

Suffice it to say I've been through a lot. I can't begin to tell you all how excelent a doctor he is. He has gone out of his way to do what he can for me. Caring doctors who truly take an interest in the patient are rare. He does both and makes sure you understand what's going on so your not left behind in the process. He's a wonderful doctor.

I first met Dr Castera in 1976 when he performed a colon resection on me. Since I had a history of colon polyps, I returned several times for colonoscopy. He has always been very professional and helpful. I highly recommend him to anyone who suspects that they have a colon or rectal problem. And don"t think it is a problem only for those over 50. I had my first colon resection at age 47 and some of my kids and grandkids have had polyps in their 20"s

I like Dr Castera. He explained stuff good and had a plan to see if he could help my bowels. He was gentle and caring.

Dr. Castera took the time with me to sit and go over every detail without making me feel rushed and that I was one of 30 patients he was seeing that day (although I know he's a busy man). He was very understanding and patient. He took the time to explain to me specifically what was going on, what could be done to correct and didn't speak to me in a language that was condescending. And, he wanted to do what was best for me and not what was best for his pocket. He is highly recommended.

Seemed knowledgeable about his speciality; however, he was reluctant to do any surgical correction based on previous health conditions; therefore, the problem was not addressed at the time of initial appointment. Follow-up communication has been sent but the problem (external hemorrhoid) has not been solved at this time.
