Called to see about a CPAP prescription renewal for supplies. Was told that since it was 2019 since I was last seen that I needed to make an appointment. Mind you, Covid had things shut down in 2020. So I asked what a self pay appointment would be so that I could get a prescription renewal for my CPAP mask replacement. Shuttled back to the front desk where I had waited earlier for 10 minutes on hold (cell phone timer). In fairness Melissa the medical assistant was courteous and did call me back. I was shuffled back to the front desk where they wanted to put me back on hold until I quickly interjected that I had been there before for 10 minutes before hanging up. “I just need to know what a self pay appointment would be to get my CPAP supplies prescription renewed”. They put me on hold and quickly came back in a rush and quoted $217.00 to get a CPAP supplies renewal appointment! Say what? No thank you. I understand a doctors time and all but do they understand their patients

I have been an established patient of Dr. Pirtle’s for several years. He is professional, caring and takes his time answering your questions. I highly recommend Dr. Pirtle.

I worked with Dr Pirtle for years and if you need a pulmonologist, you need Dr Pirtle, Dr. Lee or Honeycutt. If better exists, I have not met them. As a nurse caring for patients, learning they were under the care of these doctors, was immediately encouraging; regardless of the prognosis. We knew their patients got the best. As a nurse, we only want the best too and when we cannot give it (but know better is possible) it can be frustrating and when advocating fails (all we can do) it affects how satisfied we feel with our jobs. If it’s true that happy nurses make happy patients (who increase profits), then working with these doctors or being affiliated with them makes you happier and improves your reimbursement! After they left Tomball Hospital, I hung out a while, but it was never the same. I did not stay because, without them, it wasn’t the same. They were the pulmonologists who were the heart and soul of that hospital (for me). We have all moved on, but I have not worked with better since (I work in the medical center now, among the ‘best’, those who teach and the game changers in medicine); I learned so much from them and because of knowledge they shared with me and experiences in patient care we all share, they will always be with me, in a way. I truly think of them often; they are the standard by which all others are measured for me! Would like to thank Dr Pirtle and his group for all help administrated to me while my stay in Tomball Regional Hospital. Dr. Pirtle has great bed side manners, excellent in explaining how his Group could help on on path of recovery. Yet after explaining to him the type of insurance I have, he raised no objection. In fact found no fault, even making suggestions upon discharge set up appointments with his office. No, his office said, we do not accept your insurance! WOW!

I have been waiting since October of last year to get my cpap mask replaced. After many phone calls to your office and being told it was going to be taken care of! February and NOTHING yet! I find that since Roxanne left, the office does not really care about their patients!
