Dr. Philip R Kennedy

Horrible experience with Dr. kennedy and staff at Northside Neurology. The practice failed to obtain records from testings they ordered. They did not review any documents or medication requests. A serious neurological condition in my family was delayed in treatment because of the negligence portrayed by Dr. Kennedy Phillip and the practice. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for serious care.

My mother has been seeing Dr. Kennedy for 4 years and he is exceptional! Truly. He’s patient, kind, thoughtful and intuitive, a most needed trait with dementia patients. Very dedicated to his work. Ashley, a part of the efficient staff, is a breath of fresh air for the Snellville office. She’s insightful, quick to help with whatever is needed and compassionate. Dr. Kennedy has been my neurologist for a long time & he is amazing. He is very compassionate & spends quality time with his patients. I respect the fact that he doesn't run in & out. Dr. Kennedy really cares & he has a great staff that is personable. He was a great help to me when I was applying for my disability & I am very grateful to him for his concern & valuable time. I would recommend Dr. Kennedy to anyone 200%. This is a couple of years later and I find it odd that anyone could be negative about Dr. Kennedy!! We are entitled to our own opinion of course but Dr. Kennedy has been my Neurologist for "years' and he's never been anything but kind. I've moved an hour away and I still choose him! He cares. I went to Dr. Kennedy years ago and was disappointed when he decided to close his practice. I recently learned that he was practicing at a different office, and started seeing him again. If you’re looking for a soft spoken, knowledgeable caring physician, he’s the one for you. He gives you the time you need and doesn’t make you feel rushed.

We were 10 minutes late because my elderly disabled father who is the patient had a mishap in the car and the doctor refused to see him. And they canceled the appointment. It’s very difficult for us to take him out after his 2nd brain stroke. so we pleaded but all in vain.

Caring, attentive and friendly.

Dr. Kennedy is & has been the very best Doc. I will always be so grateful to Dr. Kennedy for his help in getting my SSI disability but more important is how he treats his patients. His kindness & compassion speaks volumes. I would "highly" recommend Dr. Kennedy without hesitation. He chose the right profession. We need more caring people like him. Thank you Dr. Kennedy...

Office staff is horrible...I have a dead battery behind my control and cant get there...but they make sure I am aware of the same day cancellation fee. How rude....if I started walking now I still wouldn't make it in time...no compassion

He has been treating my daughter for several years now. Dr. Kennedy is always kind, attentive and thorough.

He is really good. I highly recommend him to anyone. The address is correct but the link directs you to his old office. Makes me want to change my engineering degree for MD.

Amazing Doctor

Dr Kennedy is BACK! I’ve been a patient of Dr. Kennedy’s since 1991. I have several chronic health conditions and have seen many, many drs over the years. Dr. Kennedy is hands down the best physician anywhere. He is extremely competent and thorough, he listens and CARES. Lots of Drs are always rushing, one hand on the door while they’re talking, not him. He actually takes the time for me and somehow manages to be kind and funny too. Hes now in snelville and the new office seems well run too.

Dr Kennedy is the nicest and most concerned neurologist i have ever seen. He is thurough and caring. I had ro move out of state 6 yrs ago and have yet to find anyone that can compare.

Very intelligent, experienced, caring, takes great care of difficult neurological problems!

Been seeing Dr.Kennedy for a very long time . Very Professional and great doctor. I would love to know why he is no longer practicing? He was amazing doctor. I will miss him so very much. The best doctor ever

This review is NOT based on Dr.Kennedy himself, per se. He is great and I really like him. Ultimately, however, I left his care because of his office staff. Very poor responsiveness to consumers. No one answers the phone consistently, it's either busy or just rings. It takes days to get things done, i.e. Insurance authorizations, prescriptions called in, etc. No call backs when they say they will. For what a person pays for their insurance and what Dr. Kennedy charges, I expected better care.

My poor rating is not necessarily a reflection of Dr. Kennedy's care, but ultimately he is responsible for his office customer service. Return of phone calls is often 3+ days. Often the phone either rings with no voice mail or busy for multiple days. No email contact as alternative. And I am forced to make individual appts for every ordered test, which is a real inconvenience. The excuse given was Medicaire will not pay otherwise.

My husband saw Dr. Kennedy for a sleep disorder. He was worked up completely, test results explained and a workable treatment plan. I highly recommend Dr. Kennedy!

Worst professional relationship I have ever had. Spent 75 days testing, between appointments, etc only to be referred to another Neurologist. Very frustrating and not very patient focused. Seemingly no understanding, appreciation or sensitivity to my schedule, activities and options for care. For all the time spent in initial consult, testing, etc-seemed completely unprepared for follow up (2 months) later. Worst professional relationship I have ever had. Our experience was horrible. He is rude, obnoxious, overbearing, uncaring. He doesn't accept United Health Care insurance and we had to pay cash. He refused to believe the diagnoses of two other neurologists and wanted numerous test done with no explanation as to why they were needed. He had ordered blood tests but never went over them with us. Refused to talk to authorized relatives, wouldn't listen to my symptoms, had the nerve to tell me to have my pacemaker removed and have a new one installed that could go into an mri. I've only had the pace maker a few months. Actually told us that if the Florida Doctors we had seen while living there took our insurance (United Health Care) then we should go back to Florida or switch our insurance to ObamaCare - "Obama pays for everything".
