Just like the old time doctors when they treat you personally. Takes time to listen and explain and really seems to care. Only thing missing are house calls.

He almost killed me several yrs ago...asked for an apology...he wouldnt give one...saying he couldn't...that it would be considered an admission of guilt...then I could sue him

Dr. Brittain saved my life in 2003. At the age of 29 I was diagnosed with uterine and ovarian cancer. I needed a full hysterectomy as well as major abdominal, exploratory surgery with organ removal and extensive, multiple abdominal biopsies. Both he and his staff were very thorough, warm, and determined to find the cause of my life-long health problems even though my type of cancer was unheard of in a woman as young as I was. Dr. Brittain himself took the time to meet with me and family members as often as necessary leading up to these life-changing surgeries. He brought in an additional surgical oncologist who was equally wonderful and both doctors worked in tandem to save me. I deeply like & respect him as a physician and as a terrific human being who really wants to help people.

You have no idea how frustrated, upset and disappointed I was that I was denied my appointment because nobody bothered to tell me that I needed a letter from my therapist before I could even TALK to Dr. Brittain about anything. I wasn't necessarily looking to begin treatment today, I wanted to talk to Dr. Brittain about my options and gather info, but now after waiting nearly three months for an appointment I can't believe I'm going to have to wait ANOTHER three months AGAIN because some nurse dropped the ball on me. I would rate lower if I didn't have good hopes for Dr. Brittain's quality of care and really needed this appointment to happen, but I'm beyond upset with this mishandling of my appointment.

Dr. Brittain is a wonderful physician. I respect his opinions because he stays up to date on research, studies and alternative medicine. If you want a mainstream, cookie cutter doctor, he isn't for you. If you want someone who cares, thinks independently and does his research, he's you man.

At first I thought Dr. Brittain was terrific. He seemed kind & listened well. But he would tell me one thing regarding medication, then his staff would tell me another. These miscommunications led to lapses in medication that I took daily & depended on. After 3 failed surgeries to treat endometriosis & years of pain, I finally went to a specialist who examined previous surgical photos & told me Dr. Brittain never removed all the endo. The specialist did excise all endo, & I finally feel better.

Always informational and caring in his explanations. I know I can talk with him and no question will go unanswered!! He's always truly focused on my well-being and I appreciate that greatly!

He's very friendly and personable--too much so for me. If you want someone to hold your hand and hear your life story, he's your doctor. I found that invasive and creepy, so looking to change gyns. Not to mention it often took multiple phone calls and voice mail tag just to get a prescription refill.

Dr. Brittain is the absolute best. His chairside manner is comforting and he speaks to you as a person. He is not condescending, he explains everything and works with the utmost compassion. His staff reflect his work ethic and care of the patient. They are also very easy to talk to and very kind. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
