Mr. Peter Joseph Tucker

Poor communication with patients. Dr Tucker was Ok but never got to see him after he performed a procedure on me. I was assigned a PA then who didn't seem to have the knowledge or ability to provide me with further help. New Doctor told me a medicine I had been taking in which the PA doubled the dose had no use for my problem. Not a very good experience. Now Dr Tucker has left UPMC

Entire Prostate evaluation, surgery (TURP) went smoothly, I am very happy with the entire staff, nurses, Dr. Tucker I am 78, now feel and perform like 50 years ago!

Dr. Tucker is a great doctor. You can sence from his actions that he is very tuned in to your problem and caring. He alows time for questions. All of my procedures have gone perfectly with Dr Tucker in charge.

I have been a patient of Dr. Tucker's for approx. 18 years and I highly recommend Dr. Tucker. He is very professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate. Dr. Tucker puts the patients' concerns and health issues. as his top priority when he sees a patient. Dr. Tucker goes above and beyond to make a patient feel that they are not just a number. but truly a patient that needs medical attention, and Dr. Tucker truly listens to a patients concerns. I recommend Dr. Tucker highly, because he really cares about the patient's overall health.

Dr Tucker is the greatest doctor my husband an I have ever encountered. Not only is he great at his profession but He also has a great personality, bed side manner, is straight up with you an goes way beyond what is expected of him. My husband had been dealing with some medical issues an after a cat scan an MRI was called by PcP office an told they thought he had cancer an that we needed to see a list of different specialists. No clear explanation of test results or why we were seeing all these different docs. This type of news should have never been given over the phone. Dr Tucker was the first doc we saw an ask why were there to see him an our answer was we weren't sure. He asked if any one went over all the test results an when we told him no he went way above an explained every test result to us in layman terms. He even went as far as explaining to us what the hematologist/oncologist would probably do an how they would do the liver biopsy an He was correct. They didn't even explain it when they sent us for it, but thanks to Dr Tucker we knew what to expect. Explaining all these results was not his job but the job of the doc who ordered the test. The Hematologist office couldn't get him in for another 2 weeks an he encouraged me to push for sooner an I did an was able to get him in a week earlier. Even though were still scared of my husband diagnosis, we left Dr Tuckers office feeling relieved knowing what we could expect. I can't thank him enough for what he did for us that day. I wish there was such a thing as a doctor of all trades an it was Dr Tucker, if there was he would be the only doc my entire family would see. Let me say this has zero to do with Dr. Tucker and everything to do with his billing dept. They send you to collections asap (3-4 months) after the procedure. Even with good insurance I received a 1280 dollar bill to pay for there fancy lithotripy machine and then refuse to see you if can't pay half immediately and let them bill your credit card every month after that. Unless you have amazing insurance or deep pockets g o elsewhere. Because their lady in billing is a condescending spiteful woman

Awesome doctor. Very forward, takes what you are saying seriously and wants to help treat your symptoms. He was reassuring and helped me through uncomfortable testing in the office. Great bedside manner.

I have gone to a multitude of urologists. I've had some tell me it's all in my head. I have interstitial cystitis, and many urologists don't know how to handle this issue. This doctor will treat you with respect and won't beat around the bush. I recommend him.

Dr. Tucker broke the news to me that I had testicular cancer when I was 27. He was polite, but real with me, and I couldn't have felt better in his hands. He performed my surgery, and did a phenomenal job. He's down to earth, gets to the point, and takes care of business. Great dude.
