Dr. Schochet and his team are the BEST in Texas! As a parent, I cannot stress how much it means to have such a caring, patient, and experienced doctor for your child. My daughter has been a patient for only a few months and her asthma symptoms are improving with his action plan. The RCP nurse, Helisha is also AMAZING!!! Dr Shochet and his respiratory therapists have been great. They found a plan that has kept our 3YO out of the hospital for the first time in many months. I am sincerely thankful. The reason I am leaving four stars is the front desk always seems to be having a technical issue. The wait to check in at both visits were 20 minutes. Our appt was at 11. The doctor didn't come into the room until 11:50. At our first visit, he didn't come in until after an hour later. Our appt was at 1:30, we didn't leave until 3:30. I own a practice, I get that things happen; however, it is common courtesy to tell someone you are going to be almost an hour late or more. My advice would be to cancel the rest of your day because it seems that patient care and patient time cannot happen simultaneously within this office. We will continue to go back, because their team is excellent. Patient's time should be respected. If the front needs more help, get her trained. The check-out personnel always had to correct what the front was doing, so these technical issues were actually user issues at everyone else's expense. After reading all the reviews I went prepared. The front desk did the same to me she charged me $190 for the visit . I knew I had met my deductible so I asked her to check thrice . 3rd time she came back saying it’s $20 and yes she is rude . maybe she does no t understand the process or maybe she forgets I don’t know but if you are going to this doctor be prepared for such experience at the front office . I took my daughter to Dr. Schochet for the first time and my experience was okay and nothing special. First of all, the front office staff are rude, unfriendly, unhelpful, and unprofessional. I am specifically talking about the old lady that sits in the front window and the one who gives appointment on the phone. It could be that both of them are the same person but I am not sure. Front lady wanted to charge me almost $200 for our visit instead of $10! She started to argue with me but good thing I knew my benefits and did not come under her pressure. She then printed out the benefits and as she was about to show me how she was right all this time, she realized her mistake by herself and quickly end the conversation by saying, "Well, you can pay $10, but will send you bill in the mail if insurance doesn't cover." No apology, no remorse, no shame or anything like that. I was simply shocked with her behavior. Of course, no bill came in the mail whatsoever. Dr. Schochet came in the room and instantly handover his business card to us. I found this to be an odd behavior on why he would do that as he is already famous and a busy doctor. Extremely poor way to market yourself. We know who he is and where he is. If we like the service then we would definitely recommend him. What is the point of handing out the business card then? I felt like I was in a some kind of sales office instead of the doctor! During our conversation with Dr. Schochet, he would say random stuff that he think is funny. In fact, I realized that he just think he is funny and doesn't know the limit or when to stop, etc. Honestly, I found some of his statements along the lines of sarcasm and did not say anything because I wanted my daughter to feel better as soon as possible. Maybe that is why this doctor will say anything to take advantage? What I like about this doctor is that he would listen to you and answers all of your questions. He does rush and you have to be quick with your questions but you will get answers. I also liked that this doctor would not just jump into assigning medications but would like to try alternatives first if feasible. My daughter was referred to speech therapist and she recovered after 2 visits without any medications. This doctor and his office can do so much well with adjustment related to front customer service and bedside/office manners. Nonetheless, I highly suggest you to know your medical benefits before you visit this office! My daughter has asthma and my son has had severe asthma all his life. We started seeing Dr Lei over 7 years ago. Both Dr Lei and his respiratory team are amazing! The front desk clerk is very busy but on top of her game. We never have to wait more than 10-15 minutes to be called back. My son had an asthma attack that left him on life support at Children’s ICU. After we were discharged, Dr Lei helped get my son on infusion therapy that has literally CHANGED HIS LIFE and made it possible to live like a normal child. We no longer spend every Christmas in the hospital along with multiples inpatient stays throughout the year. We are very grateful for this team and the care we receive! 10 STARS! Amazing doctor! Super nice, extremely knowledgeable!

Dr. Schochet made a HUGE difference in my child's overall health. I want to thank him and his staff for figuring out what was wrong with my child and putting together a plan to get her healthy. If your child has breathing issues PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE take them to see Dr Schochet!

Dr Schochet is absolutely fantastic! His staff is great! We drive 3 hours to come see him because if it wasn't for him we would have never figured out what was causing my daughter's lung condition. I also love that even on the weekends I can get ahold of Dr. Schochet if I need too. I highly highly recommend Dr. Schochet and his staff.

Dr. Schochet is EXCELLENT! He is our daughter's lifesaver. Our daughter is 11 months old and she has been having respiratory issues from her 4 months. Hands down the BEST! Dr. Schochet and his staff go above and beyond to ensure patients are well taken care of! He is professional, courteous, kind, timely and cares about his patients. Dr. Schochet is very professional and knowledgeable. For the first time in my daughters life, she doesn’t have to use her inhaler on a weekly basis. Since starting the Dr’s treatment plan she has doubled her activity and has gone months without needing to use the rescue inhaler.

Well, it is hard to capture all that our family loves about Dr Schochet and his staff in a short review. If you have a child with a chronic issue affecting their lungs they are who you want as part of your family. Jan, his coordinator is kind and helpful and knows how crazy my schedule is when making appointments. She makes it a point to remember and use my name. Lynn is always smiling and laughing. I love his positive personality. Marie is comforting and kind and shared her personal experience when I was a scared mom worried about our daughter. They are both always professional and treat my daughter with respect and kindness. Dr Schochet has been a lifesaver the last 4 Years. He personally called to check on her when she was not doing well. We are very lucky her issues were found and have stabilized. He is professional, compassionate and empathetic especially when families are dealing with complex permenant issues and helping us embrace the new norm. Amazing doctor! I wouldn't trust my child with anyone else. He saves my child's life, and will take excellent care of your child!! Kind, compassionate, funny, and really really caring!!!

He was very communicative, almost immediately after any testing was done with my son. Dr. S didnt just diagnosed my son from listening and/or looking.. He always ordered the necessary testing first. Always listened to what we, as parents, had to say. Just a great dr.!!

He takes plenty of time to explain the situation so he can figure out what the issues are (even while my hyper kid is tearing up the office). It shows how much he genuinely cares about his patients. Worst service. Bad doctors. They just prescribed my son without doing any study of him. I scheduled to see Dr. Peter Schochet and I got to see another doctor without a notice before.

Disrespectful individual. Bad bedside manner. I think he does well the first visits, but once you are his client, he becomes too comfortable. He does not listen to you and does not respect what the parents have to say about their child. Also, that office location has a lot of issues with parking.
