Peter Martin Schissler

This man uses non consensual hypnosis to traumatize any patients he gets alone. He is dangerous. Stay away.

I have been a patient of his for years. He saw my mother and grandparents (grandpa was almost 100 and grandma was 101) for years as well. He is very caring for his patients and has excellent rapport. Unfortunately, wait times could be long, but that is because he takes such care with each of his patients to make sure all questions are answered. Wish I could give zero stars. Horrible!

I have been a patient of Dr. Schissler for years. He is a caring and competent physician. His office staff is friendly and efficient. Dr. Schissler makes time for his patients and you never feel rushed. He takes all concerns seriously and works to find out the problem and a solution. Great practice!

If I could give zero stars I would. I called for an appointment with this doctor and was told that there was a three month wait for new patient appointments. I had just moved from out of state and he had been recommended so I went ahead and made the appointment. On the day of the appointment - three months later- I called to confirm the 1 PM appointment because I had not gotten any reminder call from the office. I was told that the appointment had been canceled because they had not received my paperwork and that they had called me on three occasions to remind me about the appointment and the paperwork. I asked what number they had been calling. The number was incorrect - off by one digit. Since I am not in the habit of giving an incorrect version of my own phone number, it was clear that there had been a typo when they input my number. I told the receptionist what my correct number was and asked that they honor my appointment. She said she would talk to the doctor. When she returned, I was told that not only would they not honor the appointment but they would not reschedule me for an appointment - ever - because they had not received my paperwork. Well I was initially upset and disappointed, I’m glad it turned out the way it did as I would not want to have a doctor so shows so little concern, compassion, respect or consideration. This Doctor literally saved my life when I was diagnosed with AFib. He's the one that diagnosed me and got me on a plan that fits my lifestyle. Every time I've gone to him with a concern he handles it professionalism and personal care. He has gotten to know me and listens to all my concerns and knows what he is talking about, I've come to trust his judgment immensely. I cant say enough good things about him.

If you care about your loved one and they have Dementia, dont go to this Dr. After my mom's hospitalization, I asked his advice about hospice care. He flat out told me, I have nothing to do with this. He then refused to consult with hospice which delayed my moms paperwork. My mom suffered so. I felt so hurt that he left us out to fend for ourselves. My mom died a few weeks later. This was new to us and not having your own doctor made it worse.

Dr. Schissler has been wonderful and caring. My father is 91 years old and has dementia. He loves this doctor! Dr. Schissler takes a lot of time with my father. He never rushes through an appointment. I love his follow-up emails. I can't say enough good things about this doctor.

Very competent and caring doctor. My mom loves him and that says a lot since she has changed doctors several times in recent years! Really cares about his patients!

I have already recommended Dr. Schissler to friends; they are quite enthusiastic about this doctor. When I first became Dr. Schissler's patient, I was much younger, but have happily and healthfully aged into his geriatric practice. He always listens, never rushes and keeps up with the current medical literature, even sharing recent articles with his patients.
