I really cannot say enough great things about Dr. Pyatak. I unfortunately found out that my baby had no heartbeat at 40 weeks pregnant. I was in labor and admitted to the hospital while Dr. Pyatak was the doc on call. He was swift at assisting me during such a traumatic time. Within about an hour of being at the hospital I had an ultrasound, my IV with fluids and pain meds, my epidural and a clear plan of action. Dr. Pyatak (and all of the L&D nurses and other L&D docs) were phenomenal. Dr. Pyatak was sincere, personable, knowledgeable and greatly respectful to us and our stillborn baby. Even pausing to have a moment with our son while he was in the bassinet in our room. Dr. Pyatak’s display of affection and sorrow for our loss meant so much to us as parents going through this tragic experience. He also made sure to answer our MANY questions. Never rushing us, but always reassuring us and keeping our emotions in mind. Will be using him as my primary OB going forward. Very thankful.

I was in labor and my baby had a drop in her heartbeat and my husband and I were very scared! My doctor was no where to be found! I could tell my nurse was very worried and frustrated. Fortunately Dr. Pyatak was in the hospital. They called him and he quickly came to see me and took care of me and my baby. He checked me, gave me fluids through my iv and tried changing my position. No luck. He then told me I needed to have a cesarean section to quickly get my baby out quickly. Things happened so fast! Our little guy was tangled up in his umbilical cord! Bad things could have happened without moving so quickly to get him out. I am so grateful to this wonderful doctor and the labor and delivery staff at Mary Washington Hospital who took such wonderful care of me and my baby. To get such care and attention from people I just met for the first time is so incredible and appreciated!

As always, Dr. Pyatak and his staff are true professionals. I have been a patient of Dr. Pyatak's for 12 years. His nurses and office staff are always sweet and courteous. You couldn't ask for a better staff. Everyone is knowledgeable and kind.

Womens health and well being are so important and the focus of his practice is you! There are many reasons I feel strongly about the care Dr. Pyatak provides. First, I trust Dr. Pyatak with my well being and as a woman, I need to have a doctor I can confide in and receive excellent care. He is very knowledgeable and he truly cares about his patients. Dr. Pyatak has a fantastic bedside manner and always puts me at ease. I really appreciate that. Good doctors are hard to find, but Dr. Pyatak is one of the best for womens care. What an excellent doctor! I had a new patient appointment with Dr. Pyatak last week and he was so personable, knowledgeable, thorough and cheerful. Finding a doctor that checks the box on all of those things seems rare these days. All staff members were extremely professional and cheerful. The office building was very well kept and clean. I highly recommend Dr. Pyatak.

His staff is always pleasant and even though he has many patients, the entire staff will make you feel as if you are their number one priority no matter how busy they are. I’ve started seeing Dr. Pyatak when my previous Dr. retired. His staff is friendly and respond to my needs in a timely manner. There are other doctors closer to me but Dr. Pyatak is well worth my drive. I feel I gained a friend as well as a provider.

Dr Pyatak is a very knowledgeable doctor. He is also very understanding and compassionate. I was having a condition that I went to 7 doctors and no one could tell me what was wrong. I had a friend recommend me to Dr. Pyatak and the first time I met him I broke down crying. He diagnosed my burning vulva pain as vulvodynia and gave me medication and I have been doing fine ever since then! I would defiantly recommend him. His staff is also great and caring.

I was having a lot of pain in my private area and went to Dr. P to figure out why. Turns out I had a large bartholins cyst that was causing a lot of pain. Dr. P knew what to do and drained it with a catheter for a few weeks to let it heal and continue to drain. It was a bit annoying for a while. But it has not come back. I am very happy with this doctor and office. They got me in so quickly and took care of me so fast. Thank you all!

I was due for may annual checkup and had no problems. My exam and mammo though showed something worrisome in my breast. And this doctor discovered it. I had a small lump removed that was borderline cancer! I am so thankful I went for a checkup. This doctor and office are so kind and good and thorough. They helped me get a specialist appointment as soon as possible. I should be ok. Good thing I went when I did. I am so thankful for this wonderful doctor and practice!

Dr. Pyatak did my repeat cesarean section for my beautiful baby girl and fixed a horrible scar I had after having surgery with another local doctor. I asked around and the nurses at the hospital said he was great delivering babies in the operating room. He told me up front what he would try to do to make my ugly scar better. I am now 3 months out from the procedure and it is healing great. The nurses at the hospital were right about him. And I thank him and his office for the best delivery and recovery experience to date! I am so pleased with them all. Thank you!

I had a lot of irritation in my lady parts and was very frustrated with all the cream treatments I got that didn't work. I was so afraid to see anyone but couldn't take it anymore. Dr. Pyatak was very kind and understanding. And his office staff were wonderful. They got me in the same day I called! It turns out my problem was nothing bad. Just due to a lack of estrogen from this dang menopause. He prescribed some topical hormone cream to use and I am feeling so much better. I am so appreciative of his staff and him for his help. Thank you all! I am so much less afraid of the gyno office! LOL!

Dr. Pyatek was great! This is my first pregnancy and I was so afraid of everything. Every little pain and I was like scared something was wrong. He was so nice and patient to reassure me that everything was normal and there were no problems. It was convenient that there is an ultrasound available in his office to look at my baby and show me she is fine. I look forward to all my visits at his office. Everyone is so nice and kind. And the hospital they deliver at is Mary Washington Hospital which is the best in the area for routine and high risk pregnancy care. It is so good knowing that me am my little girls are in such good and caring hands!

I had lots of hot flashes after my periods stopped. Went to get counseling and learned it was probably hormonal. That's what I read too. Dr. P was very informative in counseling for estrogen replacement therapy. I had my annual and pap smear and his office and staff were very nice. I got samples and will see him back in a month to see if this will help. so far seems to be good. Very happy to have met this doctor since I am new to the area and his practice came highly recommended by my neighbors.

I am over fourty years old and just found out I am pregnant with my sixth child. I a, very happy but had some bleeding and cramps and was very scared. Dr Pyatak's office got me in quickly to be seen and everyone was so nice and great. They did an ultrasound and I saw everything looked good. What a sweet little heart beating away! Had had some blood work done because of risks of my age and hope all will be good. They all have experience with older moms and I am very comfortable with all the staff that are there. They got me in so fast and promised they were all ther for me. Thank you!

Had my annual gyno. Nice bedside manner. Was very informative and helpful. I found out I am pregnant. Very happy. I am going to see him for my pregnancy!

Dr. Pyatak saw me in the emergency room for a pregnancy in my tube and was able to treat me with medication saving me from surgery. I was so thankful. He and all the staff at Mary Washington Hospital were wonderful in my care. So knowledgible and easy to talk to. Thank you so much! I will see you for my care from now on.

I was in labor with my midwife in another practice and I was having a hard time pushing my baby out. I was at whits end and was told I might need to have a c section. But my baby was so low and I was so tired from pushing for 2 hours! My midwife called the doctor to see if he could help and he discussed my situation with me and my husband. He felt confident that he could help me with this little suction cup vacuum devise to help me bring my baby son out. And it worked over two contractions! I was so happy. I was told later that he was the best in the hospital for these situations and the go to doctor for such help. I am so happy he was around for me. Saved me and my baby boy from surgery. I love the staff at Mary Washington Hospital. They are the best!

He did not wash his hands after entering the room. He introduced himself and shook my hand. He did a breast exam 1st. After that, He rubbed non sterile gloves together in his hands. He put the gloves on, moved a stool with his gloved hand and then began my exam. He never warned me before inserting a cold metal speculum. One plastic instrument was set up before he entered the room and placed on a tray. It came from a box in the closet. It was not sterile. The swabs he used were not individually wrapped but handed to him from a closet by the nurse. When he was done with the speculum, he threw it into a black basin held by the nurse. I later learned that the speculums were not individually wrapped but placed in a draw under the table and the same black basin was returned to the room wet for another use. Dangerous unnsanitary practices.

Dont waste your time or money scheduling an appt. with this doctor, i waited over an hour in the waiting room for a 10 minute visit. the nurse spent more time with me and asked more questions than he did. He never did any test he didnt check for anything and i was sent by my primary care to get testing done. He said it was just a issue thatd go away with time. But how would he know that without evaluating me? He was very unprofessional and unconcerned! First and last time visiting this practice
