I saw Dr. Peff for very alarming symptoms I developed suddenly. I suspected Lyme Disease. He called an ID doctor (who wouldn’t see me for Lyme) and then suggested an antidepressant. My heart was stopping in second degree block from Lyme. I’m now 100% paced by a pacemaker. I lost control of my blood pressure and glucose regulation as well due to autonomic neuropathy; confirmed by a major teaching hospital. Not all young women presenting with severe symptoms just need an antidepressant.
