I found Dr. Peter Parthum to be very informative, polite, positive, and professional. As a reminder please ask questions and state concerns, and research.

Always had a good experience with him. He listens and is very informative. Have been seeing him for over 10 years. It stinks that I have to find a new doctor because of different insurance plan

My daughter and I are on badgercare and we both kept appointments, but one had to be cancelled because of car trouble. We were charged 30.00 for the 2 of us for missed appt.His sister (works in office) said it needs to be paid in full before we can be seen again even though bottom of bill says they accept payments. I needed to have blood work done because I am on blood thinners. She refused to let me speak to the doctor and did not give me enough of one prescription I badly need to last until I get paid again, and I did tell her when that would be. I called united health care's umbudsman and she said they are not even supposed to be charging badgercare patients for missed appts. I was out for a while, when I got home there was a message that they will fill the prescription for a month but I need to find a new doctor. He was very caring and kind, and takes the time to really listen. I don't know if this is the doctor's doing or if his sister/receptionist is doing it. I have doctor anxiety problems that were causing high blood pressure and they are much better but now I need to find a new doctor, just because of money. She yelled at me once for coming in 5 minutes late but yet every time I came, on time, I had to wait at least 20 minutes, sometimes longer. I also found out that on badgercare if you cannot pay your copay they cannot refuse to see you. I did not know this stuff. If you go to him, read your literature from badgercare because it seems they are not following the rules.

Dr. Parthum set time aside to get me in for an evaluation in less than 24 hours, when I had never seen him before and I was having some very serious symptoms. He was highly recommended by another professional. Dr. Parthum had/has a very laid-back personal style, was very thorough in my evaluation, and was able to give several preventive measures I needed to take given the diagnostic results. If you are seeking a healthy life style and want an evaluation to point you in the right direction(s), this doctor will help you do it.

Dr. Parthum is very caring and spent tons of time talking over medical history, etc. I have been to the office and have been seen straight away and I have been to the office and waited over 45 minutes. When I did have to wait, I didn't feel rushed and felt time was given to me as a patient---so it wasn't bad. Our family of 5 sees this doctor and I would recommend him.

Dr. Pete, as he likes to be called, is more concerned about numerous return vists, multiple times a week, than treating you. The receptionist is rude and abrasive and Dr. Pete will not return calls or pages. Very dissappointeed, still need a doctor.
