Peter Edward Palacio

I've been seeing Dr. Palacio for 3 years for symptoms of menopause, including migraine. He has has worked with me on hormone replacement therapy and takes time to answer questions and explain the latest research. However, from the start his office staff have been very difficult. They rarely answer the phone, give confusing and inaccurate information about insurance and the doctor's availability, and make mistakes with billing. Most recently I received my first bill for two appointments I had over a year ago. The office mis-billed my insurance, lost a referral from my primary care physician, and billed me so late that I cannot deduct the cost of the visits for tax purposes. I understand that he has new billing staff, but too late for me. I would recommend Dr. Palacio for someone wanting HRT advice who is willing to wrestle with the front office staff to get it, but personally will not be returning to this practice.

Dr. Palacio was very warm and approachable. He had a flip book of the female anatomy that we reviewed and discussed potential causes of my condition, and the surgical options available to me, from least-to-most invasive. He took the time to clearly explain the procedure options, and the risks and benefits of each in a clear, easy-to-understand way, without being condescending. He was up-to-date on best practices. I felt confident that I was in good hands as I was being rolled into the OR.

Believe me when I say I have absolutely no reservations about recommending Dr. Palacio to any and all women who are seeking a really wonderful, caring and so informative doctor for their OBGYN care. Each time I come out of an appointment with Dr. Palacio I feel enlightened and lifted up. He is the best ever. You will love him! And his staff is professional, caring and welcoming too. Go ahead and make the appointment, you won't regret it.

Dr. Palacio is one of those rare physicians who automatically makes you feel at ease at an appt. which is so intimate and not one any woman looks forward to. His knowledge, warmth & empathic manner allow you to discuss any issue & ask any question in total comfort. I am 72 yrs. old & have had my share of woman issues. I trust Dr. Palacio explicitly.

So thankful I found Dr. Palacio!! He is kind, compassionate, completely thorough, and demonstrated total interest in me and my concerns. Although a total abdominal hysterectomy could not be avoided, it went extremely well. My recovery has been fantastic! My family and friends marvel at how well I am doing. :-) Yvonne

Everyone at the office treats me with kindness and respect, from the receptionist to Dr. Palacio himself. He always listens and takes the time to understand my individual needs. I highly recommend VIVA! GYN.

The impact Dr. Palacio has had on my physical & mental health has been life altering. The issues I had suffered with affected how I felt about myself as a woman. He took the time not just to talk with me & listen, but he also extensively researched & together we found solutions for relief. I had tried many female doctors before him & they were dismissive to my issues. Dr. Palacio never makes me feel rushed and he treats me like a person, not a patient. A bonus is his caring & friendly staff.

Dr Palacio has a wealth of information about menopause and hormone replacement therapy. He has been so helpful finding the right retiming for me. He is a great listener and always checks to make sure I have all my questions answered.

I am grateful for a doctor who takes time to listen, answer questions thoroughly and share medical news as it pertains to me. Dr. Palacio is interested in his patients as a whole person. The staff is also friendly and professional and I have never felt rushed. I highly recommend Dr. Palacio to friends who are looking for a doctor at this stage of life!

Seriously one of the best dr appointments I've ever had. He was Kind, informative and spent a lot of time with me. The office staff was helpful, cheerful and clearly enjoy the work they do.

Dr. Palacio has incredible knowledge and is very compassionate. Spends time with you. Respectful and attentive. Wonderful female specialist.

Dr. Palacio genuinely cares about his patients. He always has a smile on his face and puts his patients at ease. He takes the time to explain what's happening in my body during my exams. He keeps up with the latest research. I appreciate that he believes in the use of Hormone Creams for women in their menopausal years. Dr. Palacio is the only Doctor I know of in Bend that will prescribe creams for hormone replacement therapy. I highly recommend Dr. Palacio for women of any age.

I recommend Doctor Palacio to anyone looking for a provider with his specialty. He is easy to talk to, takes the time to explain things. I feel confident in his expertise and abilities. He does not act rushed, and I don't feel like just another patient, he focuses on me and my concerns.

Dr Palacio is an incredible experience physician. He is trustworthy and takes time to really listen and understand. He is well respected in his field and I would recommend him highly. I am grateful for him.

First the good- he can see you quickly. The bad- two times I have needed a prescription refill, it has taken over a week w/mult. attempts made by me and my pharmacy w/no response. Their vm asks patients to allow 72 business hrs. (9 days?!) for them to get around to phoning in refills. Also, had lab work done, lab informed me they sent results to Dr. Palacio. It took over a week and speaking to two very rude employees to discuss my results. Asked for them to be mailed never received.

I have never been to a gynecologist that I have been so appreciative for. He is super kind and explains everything in detail and makes you feel relaxed. I had A Mona Lisa procedure that has changed my life sex life after menopause and so thankful Dr. Palacio has passion to help women in this area. So thankful I found such a great professional. He offers quarterly talks on all aspects of what is the latest in gynecology.

Dr Palacio is nice, professional, knowledgeable. He helped with a problem that 3 other gyn md's couldn't get!

Dr. Palacio took extra time to answer all of my questions. It is also very apparent that he is focused on making his patients comfortable. The actual exam went very fast and I wasn't asked any uncomfortablely weird questions that gynecologists have normally asked me, we just had a conversation without any form type questioning. I would recommend him to anyone (and have) and am just really grateful to have found a doctor who treats his patients with such respect and care. Thank you Dr. Palacio!

I would recommend him to anyone! Dr.Palacio is super professional, caring, and patient. He is an expert in his field. As a woman, you should be taking your healthcare very seriously. I'm so glad I decided to separate this appointment from my regular primary care provider. Of course they offer yearly exams but why wouldn't you choose a GYN for your yearly woman exam? It only makes sense!

I will absolutely recommend Dr. Palacio to friends and family. I really appreciate how this practice is focused on not only GYN, but on the menopausal issues that have been misunderstood, and routinely ignored til now. Dr. Palacio is thorough, easily understood, and has a "bedside manner" that few doctors have these days. I wasn't rushed through my appointment, and the nurses were very friendly.

Dr. Palacio: is a genuinely caring physician. He cares about women and their health. I felt at ease with the conversation and he listened and answered all my questions. Highly recommend him and his staff.

Compassion, experience, cutting edge technology I continue to recommend Dr Palacio to my friends. He remains up to date with gynecologic issues and is as knowledgeable as the specialists at the OHSU Women's Clinic. I have a high level of trust that I will receive the best gynecologic care in the state of Oregon at Viva Gyn!

Dr. Palacio makes me feel very confident in every visit I have. He explains procedures and disease processes thoroughly before even beginning the exam or procedure. He always allows for questions and is very comforting when nerves are high. I love the staff at his office as well, they are always in good spirits and are very helpful and knowledgable. I would 110% recommend Dr. Palacio to peers and strangers, he does his best to provide the best care he can to each and every patient!

Dr Palacio is a wonderful Dr. I would recommend him to any female who needs a Obgyn Dr! He knows his stuff, takes his time with you, and is concerned with your overall health and well being! I moved out of the state, and make the 3.5 hr drive to come see him for my annual visit. Everyone in the office is nice.

I believe that Dr. Palacio is sincerely interested in the well being of his patients and is informed about the latest developments in women's healthcare.

I went to Dr Palacio after trying some other good Dr's in the Bend area who I didn't feel meet my needs. But Dr Palacio was EXCELLENT from the moment he walked in he made us(brought my twin sister as she was looking for OBGYN also) feel welcomed and comfortable and that he wanted to hear what I has to say and he answered my questions without rushing like happens so often in Dr offices. His staff was realyl friendly and helpful ! I(we) are really pleased my sister made an appointment to go back!

Dr Palacio seemed very caring and understanding of my situation. I didn't feel rushed and he was willing to listen to all of my concerns.

He is a good listener & brings you up to date on health issues.

Dr. Palacio is WONDERFUL!!!! He is very courteous and informative. He is not rushed, he took easily an hour for my appointment explaining options and different tests that should be done. explained everything through the examination and made me feel very comfortable. Then he explains different avenues that can be done to fix the problem. I have referred everyone I know . I will never go back to my PCP for my GYN exams and needs. His office staff are very friendly and are on the ball.

Dr. Palacio was great! Kind and competent. I did have difficulty getting his office to respond to phone calls and give me detailed information. I had an ongoing health issue and this was consistently the case not just a one time incident.

I love Dr. Palacio! He is, by far, the kindest and most gentle gynecologist I have ever used. Dr. Palacio performed by robotic-assisted laparoscopic hysterectomy and it could not have gone more smoothly. I never thought I would return to a male gynecologist, by Dr. Palacio has changed my mind. I highly recommend Dr. Palacio to any woman seeking an extremely competent and caring gynecologist/surgeon.
