Peter A Orlov

Dr. Orlov provided some supervision of my sleep during treatment - but as others note, he's generally dismissive and focused on making the next appointment and finishing sessions is about 10 minutes. This was a purely non-therapeutic relationship - in which he checks if meds are causing trouble, and if not, we're good for months.

at first, i thought he was pretty decent & did his job. he seemed inconsiderate but i didn’t pay much mind since he was still prescribing medication & doing what he could. however, appointments became a very repetitive “ok. see you in 6 months” despite there being problems that i wanted to address. i haven’t had a true problem with him until recently. he had said he didn’t “agree” with my lifestyle & was having second thoughts about my anxiety medications since i “wasn’t making use of it anyways.” however, he never explicitly said he would stop it. come to find out, he hadn’t refilled it & i had been taking it for over a month thinking it’d be refilled. the following month, my anxiety had gotten so bad i couldn’t make it to class, all because he thought i wouldn’t “make use” of my medication. i can 100% see the other reviews saying he felt disgusted for just you being there. i’m looking into finding a new doctor.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND SEEING DR. ORLOV. I took my son to see this man. He was the most rude, insensitive, impatient, uncompassionate doctor I have ever met. He made my son feel awful about himself and he should not be practicing. My son was immediately uncomfortable by this man who expected answers to his difficult questions instantly. Once my son answered him, he had a look of disgust on his face with every answer given. I was uncomfortable with each interaction also. I agree with the other reviews that say he appears to be bothered by the fact that you are there and that he does not listen and judges you. We only had a few appointments to discuss medication and they were the worst experiences. I feel awful I made my son sit through these appointments. I never leave reviews -I find the fact that this man interacts with teenagers/children very upsetting. Someone needs to speak to him to remind him he is taking to young people and his words mean something. HE IS AWFUL.

I took my son to see Dr. Orlov a few years back, and I am still haunted by how horrible an experience it was. Dr. Orlov seemed completely disinterested in my son and in his job. I don't think he gave my son a second thought once we had left, or ever wondered why we didn't return.

Very rude bedside manner. Makes you feel like you are bothering him just by showing up for your appointment. If he asks you a question, you better have a quick yes or no answer, because he will cut you off and tell you to get to the point, otherwise. Working to transfer to another dr in the practice. Not sure why anyone goes to him.

Current patient, have been for at least 11 years. NEVER liked him, and am currently looking for a new prescriber. Terrible bedside manner, terrible memory, makes assumptions based on appearance as well. Will withhold medication from you, too. Doesn't respect a patient's intelligence or opinion. No appointment reminders whatsoever either.

Does not care about patients. Not sure how he stays in business! Very bizarre policies at this practice. Good luck if you go to him looking for help! Deserves 0 stars.

Very quite disposition, but very knowledgeable. My sonlijrs him very much as do I, always friendly.

Horrible bedside manner. Treats you like you're dumb. Doesn't understand what anxiety is??
