Dr Nakaji and his staff, Medical and office are FANTASTIC. Hope I don't ever need another surgery but he is the only neurosurgeon I would ever want touching my head.

I met Dr. Nakaji for a new consult for my 2nd brain surgery. I was so impressed with his demeanor and exceptional bedside manner. We went thru my images, he answered ALL my questions, with no rush, and explained my procedure extensively. His staff is exceptional from the 1st phone call. Being in the healthfield myself, I was pleased beyond belief! He DOES listen to his patients which is not a common thing these days, unfortunately!

One year ago April 28, 2021 my mother underwent a Craniotomy. It was an 8-9 hour surgery in which my mother according to Dr. Nakaji "had a minor stroke" during surgery that he states did not show up on the monitor while he was performing this surgery. My mother has not been the same since. She was originally scheduled for this surgery on 4/23/21 and when we were pulling into the parking lot for her surgery we received a call from Dr. Nakaji's group cancelling this surgery due to they received incorrect radiation seeds that were going to be implanted in my mothers brain. WE SHOULD HAVE TAKEN THIS AS A SIGN TO CANCEL HER SURGERY WITH Dr. Nakaji!!!. Dr Nakaji seen my mother for a follow up 5 months later in his office in AZ and from there just asked us to find her a neurosurgeon who was closer to where we live which is NM. Very unprofessional of him as well as he would not return our many phone calls to him regarding my mothers different issues she was experiencing. He basically just brushed her off to another surgeon in which this new surgeon in NM states when a surgery is performed the performing surgeon usually follows the patient in which this is not the case. In 07/2018 I had a brain anyerism after that I had a hemorrhagic stroke dr Peter Nakaji is a brilliant surgeon he performed an osteoplasty of cranium with bone flap surgery to relieve the pressure of bleeding into my brain from the anyerism I would not be alive today if it wasn’t for his excellent expertise and knowledge. Dr Nakaji I have tears of joy thank you Dr Nakaji anyone who is looking for an excellent surgeon with precision he is the man????????I would bet my life on it???? Dr. Nakaji is very kind, attentive, knowledgeable, and professional. He gave me a potential answer I had been searching for nearly a year and explained it well. I hope never to need surgery, but I would 100% trust Dr. Nakaji as my surgeon if I do.

My neurologist sent a referral here in June. I have called and spoke to at least 20 people, including the office manager, Sean Cooper and Stuart (Senior Director). This office lost the CD of my brain MRI that my neurology office sent. This delayed my imaging being seen by 4 weeks. I had to physically deliver my disc to the neurosurgeon floor (specifically, Jennifer). After handing the disc to her I asked how long until it would be reviewed. Her response, “I don’t know. I don’t work here. They just put me here today.” When you call it goes to a call center. I’ve spoke to many people who all respond with the same thing, “I don’t know.” I was hung up on by Marissa. Briana said there is no Senior Director named Stuart and while Bernice tried hard to get Sean Cooper on the phone, she said he read her messages, but he refused to acknowledge them or speak to me. Sal MA called me the last week of July, 5 weeks after they received my referral, and he read me my MRI results. My MRI result was read to me in May by my neurologist who referred me to neurosurgery FOR HELP, not for an MA to read me my MRI results. I stressed to Sal (and had previously reported this to Sean and Stuart) the neurological symptoms I’m having: unequal pupils, droopy eyelid, waking up not able to swallow or breathe (possible seizures), massive head pain that comes out of nowhere. Sal said he would let Dr Nakaji know. Well, too bad Dr Nakaji doesn’t care. No response from him. No response from the office manager, Sean Cooper. Horrible and negligent provider and practice. The people in the call center are as worthless as it gets. Very poor morale, completely lack any training or critical thinking skills. Sean Cooper is well aware of this and even acknowledged their poor work ethics and said it’s because they are working at home. Great excuse for the horrible care here! My mom is alive today thanks to Dr Nakaji and Dr Imuro whom referred us to him. I will forever be in debt to these amazing physicians. Our family is overwhelmed with gratitude and respect for them.

I had an arcanoid cyst and a subdural hematoma in my brain and Dr. Nakaji was my neurosurgeon. Me and my family could not trust any other neurosurgeon other than him to do the surgery on my head. To do this day me and my family have never regretted that decision when I chose him as my neurosurgeon. He reminded us to never lose hope and that everything will be okay. So with the blessing and will of God, Dr. Nakaji fenestrated my cyst in my brain and removed the blood in my skull successfully. I am thankful to be alive to give thanks to Dr. Nakaji from me and my family. WE LOVE HIM! HE not only did a GREAT job but he is our hero. Dr nakaji is quite simply the best there is. He has a wonderful bedside manner and does excellent work i am very pleased with Dr Nakaji and would not hesitate to seek his help again should I need it

I recently underwent a surgery with Dr.Nakaji and benefitted greatly from it. He explained my condition very clearly and answered all of my questions with ease. He used minimally invasive methods compared to other surgeons. I highly recommend and trust Dr. Nakaji.

Dr Nakaji is a very Professional, compassionate, knowledgeable Doctor. I would go back to him any time! I had a brain tumor and I am doing great!

He saved my life twice. 2006 and 2013. I will always have him as my NS for my life long condition and VP shunt issues. Bedside manner does not matter- it's the life saving skills that count! You are alive and breathing.

Dr Nakaji is an extremely talented surgeon and just a wonderful human being. Super easy to talk to and wonderful bedside manner. He is great at explaining what exactly is wrong and how he's going to remedy it. If he doesn't know an answer, he'll search it out until he has one. I am extremely grateful to have had him perform my last 5 surgeries. I wouldn't trust anyone else!

He is such an amazing neurosurgeon and just a wonderful attitude a really nice guy and down to earth if I ever have to see another neurosurgeon he is the only one I will ever let do surgery on me thank you so much DR. Nakaji.

Dr Nakaji diagnosed my seizure desorderwhen we first met. I just had my 3rd brain surgery. I had no complicasions.

Dr Nakaji is one of the BEST doctors who you will actually"talk" to about your medical conditions. He includes you in your care, treatment...... He is genuinely concerned about you. All that creates a trust and confidence in his treatment plans for me. I will be forever grateful for Dr. Nakaji, his staff and the hospital where he saved my life!!!

I had an archnoide cyst and subdural hematoma. Dr. Nakaji was my brain surgeon. I am blessed that God has chosen him to do the surgery on my head. I would recommend everyone to go to him if they need a checkup for their head. He is one of the best in the world and does a GREAT JOB!

I called today to terminate my care with Dr Nakaji and his horrible staff. I was referred to him for a SAH and spent 9 days in the ICU. The care received by the hospital personnel was horrible. The communication by Dr Nakaji's staff was horrible. Of particular aggravation was his NP Tammy Tyree who I was dumped on. I can only hope that Dr Nakaji and his staff suffer the same thing I have and receive similar care.

Dr. Nakaji was very professional and friendly. He explained my health situation completely and I understood everything. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Nakaji; His staff was very helpful also. He took the time I needed...I never felt rushed. I appreciate his knowledge and services.

He has saved my wife's life twice, one ruptured aneurysm in 2013 and clipped two more a year later, so would I recommend him YES 210% . Also he explains everything to where you can understand it and he REALLY cares about his patients and his work.

I had a very complicated tumor & I'm so grateful I met a human being that has made it his life's work to specialize in this. He saved my life several times! I would recommend him to everyone! His bedside manner is remarkable-he would draw the next complicated procedure on the white board so my family understood & they REALLY loved him! I would be here without him!

Did the surgery and then washed his hands of me. Had to call and call to get ahold of him. Didn't feel like he cared one bit.

Excellent! I have had two treatments by Dr. Nakaji and the following those treatments when I was home, Dr. Nakaji called me at home to see how I was doing. He shows he is concerned for his patients. I never had any post-op issues.
