Janu must cherry pick those he cares about because all I got was a fat phobic Dr. that did not want to help me the 2nd time I went to see him. I saw him in 2018 and was told I'd eventually need to get my GERD taken care of and that I had Barrett's esophogus and my weight coming down would help but not solve the issue. Fast forward to 2023 and now my only problem is that I am fat and it will make all my problems go away. I'm now out 6 grand because he can't see past my weight. Based on other reviews, these people were either sticks like he is or he cherry picks who is too fat or not. If zero stars was an option, that would have been my post. Thanks for nothing and making me feel like a waste of space on the planet because I'm fat.

Dr. Janu is very patient, empathtic, and extremely thorough. He carefully diagnosed my condition, then laid out all options for addressing it both short term and long term. He did not push surgery as the only course of action. Nor did he exert pressure to have to act right away. He cared about me and my unique situation and helped me tailor a more long term course of action which perfectly suited my evolving thoughts about what was best for my overall health. I highly recommend him.

Dr Janu was on call when I brought my 81 yr old mother to the ER with a small bowel obstruction. He was able to perform her surgery laparoscopically and my mom went home the same day! There are general surgeons who would have made a large vertical incision to perform the same procedure with days in the hospital and a long recovery so I feel blessed that Dr Janu was on call. Dr Janu gave me my life back. For a couple of years I struggled with GERD and stomach issues. From the first time I met him, he was kind. He listened and knew exactly what I was suffering from. His office staff is easy to get a hold of and easy to talk and helps get solutions. I went out of my Network health plan and paid much more as a copay to get doctor Janu. He is straight forward and honest. Also easy to talk to after hours. Returns your call promptly. This was not my first surgery with doctor Janu. Awesome surgeon and staff! He and they are so very good at what they do along with being so personable. If you can get this group to do your care you will be blessed. No pain, just some discomfort right after. Thank you Dr Janu and team. A number of years ago he also did a surgical procedure on our son that was very successful.

My husband suffered from GERD throughout his life, culminating in his late 30s/early 40s. He was evaluated by Dr. Janu and it was decided he would have the LINX magnetic ring implanted. The surgery has 100% changed his life for the better. Dr. Janu is so knowledgeable, with an impeccable bedside manner. Great nursing staff and Dr. Janu was a really nice person. I felt well informed and in good hands.

I had the LINX procedure done by Dr. Janu. I was very impressed with Dr Janu and his staff. Everyone was fantastic! Very professional yet personable. The LINX procedure worked great for me. I suffered with bad GERD for many years. I had the procedure done over 6 months ago. I have not had even a trace of heartburn and I don't take any meds. I am so happy I had this done! I had a procedure done with Dr. Janu and he and the staff were exceptional. I fully trusted him and I was not anxious going through it at all. It was the best hospital visit I ever had.

Had the surgery for GERD was not only a huge waste of money but my GERD is worse. Guess it doesn't work for everyone. I would not recommend this.

Had Gerd surgery worse ever since Was day surgery on a Thursday Nurse was supposed to call within 24 hours. when I still hadn't heard from her on Monday I called Could have dropped dead and she wouldn't have known.Dr Janu knows this was a failure. Hasn't done anything to make it right. Take the money and run.

He was very informative and made me very comfortable before the EDG. I was having very bad reflux, and my doctors ran all the test,and were going to do a wrap,but decided against it, and sent me to see Dr. Janu, met with him Dr.Janu explaned it from beginning to end. I want to mention his nurse Mary Jo You are a fantastic nurse. I will recommend Dr. Janu to anyone I know having acid reflux issues. its been 5 wonderful months post surgery.
