Dr. Peter Bemis H'Doubler JR.

I came to him with pots symptoms, which I later realized was secondary to pelvic nerve entrapment. My pelvic nerve entrapment causes my iliac, renal vein's to thin out, due to lack of blood and causes the veins near my pelvic nerve entrapment to dialate and become congested, Kinda like a blocked hose. He diagnosed me with nutcracker syndrome and maythurners and did a left renal vein transposition and iliac stent. Technically I never had may thurners or nutcrackers syndrome since that would imply arteries were compressing veins which I showed no symptoms for.... still the surgeries helped my pots symptoms. I still regret doing them since the stent and the left renal vein transposition caused new symptoms. And I did 2 invasive surgeries for conditions I never had. Yet... Manually opening the veins did help my pots. I don't know what to say. The sizing of my iliac stent still bother me when I lay on my left side. I can literally feel it press against my femur and hips and it hurts. The iliac stent terrorizes me everyday. In hindsight I wish he realized I never had the vascular compressions and told me I needed the correct pelvic decompression surgery. That way I could of fixed my pelvic neuralgia and pots from one surgery. So not only was I misdiagnosed and had 2 invasive vascular surgeries. The stent size and positioning are causing problems. Emory usually sends out surveys to ask about your experience after an appointment. I did not get one to give my opinion of Dr. H'Doubler so I will leave it here. I had heard great things about him but was very disappointed. He was running over 45 minutes late and did not apologize and no one kept me informed of the delays. He showed very little interest in what I had to say. He was rude and condescending and did not take the time to answer any of my questions. I had a question about the procedure he requested but I did not get an answer. Dr. H'Doubler spent less than 5 minutes in the room. He is obviously not the right Dr for me.

Didn't get the feeling that he truly cared about what I was going through. I have had 3 blood clots (DVT's) in 14 months while on blood thinners. Intense pain- showed him a picture of how swollen my leg was with the veins popping out (after he had performed peripheral angioplasty) and he just said hang in there and it would get better. Did offer to perform another surgery but to be honest I just didn't have another $25,000 to drop on a surgery that may or may not work- which obviously didn't work the first time around. **MISDIAGNOSED AND MALPRACTICED** I was misdiagnosed with nutcracker syndrome and maythurners syndrome. Dr. H'doubler thought the vascular compressions were responsible for my dysautonomia. He commited malpractice by doing left renal vein transposition and iliac stent. After all the vascular surgeries failed he told me to go to a neurologist and to treat my pots/dysautonomia, which the vascular surgeries made worse. He also stented my iliac vein too large and now I have chronic hip pain and can constantly feel the stent inside my hip. I'm just so much worse and so depressed from these incorrect surgeries. I'm a father of a 2 year old and Dr. H'doubler decided to try and manually fix dysautonmia, a neurological condition, with vascular surgeries. I have no clue how I'm supposed to survive or raise my son. I'm extremely worried and I have panic attacks daily. We both know I did the incorrect surgery. Everyday I'm just coping. Dr H’Doubler performed a AAA stent on me 15 years ago-great care and I’m still vertical. really great doctor

My elderly mother moved to Atlanta in December 2016. After a month of being here I noticed her walking slow and not sleeping in her bed. She also had a small bruise on her ankle. After three emergency room visits it had progressed and wasnt stopping. In March she was referred to Dr. Hdoubler. Her appointment wasnt until April. Long story short lets jump to today July 5th 2017. He tried everything to save her leg. She went down to 79 lbs and was basically dying. Two weeks after surgery she weighs 109 lbs, she is so full of life and is doing everything on her own. I thank God everyday for this doctor. He was polite and caring. His team of doctors are the best I have ever seen. You cant go wrong with this doctor he is a true blessing. I will forever be thankful for him saving my moms life. Doctor is a poor communicator and relies on his nurses / staff to explain the procedure. Procedure costs are out of line and unreasonable. I will not go back nor would I recommend him.

I've been a patient for several years. The services are lacking. His assistants are rude. I had a balloon put in my vein my leg is swollen, they claim nothing is wrong. Who leg does that. Im in so much pain i can't walk. However my insurance pays alot of money. Ive also had 2 bypass surgery with this office. Feet stay ice cold. Nothing change before the surgery. I spoke highly of the DOCTOR the service has change.

Your nurse practitioner Naomi is rotten, rude and is non informative-- you should get a new one as she is detrimental to your practice

Dr. H'Doubler has been my vascular surgeon for about 15 years. His reputation is impeccable, and I feel so safe while under his care. He has done several arteriograms on me, as well as two angioplasties. The experience was excellent and he and his entire staff are very professional, and he also gives that personal touch which makes the patient feel at ease.
