I went for first visit this morning. While sitting & filling out paperwork, a man came in with a urine sample. Instead of bringing him to a place where no one could listen, the nurse spoke within 2 ft from me. I've been seeing Dr. Gent every 3 months for 10 years now for my thyroid disease. He's the most wonderful doctor! He's patient, kind, and a remarkable listener. Dr. Gent cares about the whole patient and takes all of you into consideration - your sleep habits, diet, physical activity, stress levels, etc. He treats the whole person, not just the thyroid. Only once did I wait more than a few minutes after arriving for my appt. He had an emergency and the staff let me know in case I wanted to reschedule. I had a book to read with me and so waited. It was maybe 35-40 min before he was able to see me but I didn't mind because it's so rare for him to be late. I appreciated the staff giving me a heads up though. I saw the other reviews about his wife and was surprised. I've had nothing but pleasant experiences with her and the rest of the staff. I love to chat with them after my appt is over. I once missed an appt because I completely forgot about it and the call wasn't nasty at all. I had to pay the miss appt fee but I knew about it because they told me when I first came there, its in the paperwork you fill out then and every year after, and there are signs in the office reminding you of it. Same for lab work. There are signs and they remind you every time you go to get it done at least 2 weeks before your next appointment. If not, they won't get the results in time and will need to change your appt. If you give them enough notice, they can put another patient in your time slot. If not, the slot goes empty and that's lost money for them. One time, I waited too long and called them 10 days before my appt. Dr Gent got my thyroid straight after years of suffering and I feel great!!!

Have seen Dr Gent for a few years now and have been very pleased with his kindness, helpfulness, quality referrals and have found all his staff to be exceptionally nice and helpful throughout. I appreciate his willingness to consider more wholistic proactive approaches to health when possible as well as his regular medical treatment. Have never experienced what some commenters said about his wife; rather have found her to be very helpful also. ( I also get the feeling staff there is well treated and valued rather than being treated a bit as underlings as I now realize has been the vibe I got in some other medical offices. ) Grateful to have found this practice.

My entire family have benefitted from Osteopathic Manipulation for 25 years, when after 12 years of pain a D.O. fixed me up when no one else was able. All my daughters have received treatments during pregnancy, and all our grandchildren have received treatments as soon after delivery as possible. So when my son and his family moved to N. Chesterfield, we did not know anyone there to treat my granddaughter after she fell from a swing, and had a pain in her hip with a slight limp to compensate. Thankfully, Dr Gent kindly and effectively treated Maddie, age 5. Everything is now working the way it should, immediately after one treatment in this case. Maddie said, "I heard a pop, and now I'm all better, and the Doctor fixed my foot too!" She was excited about being good as new, and in a hurry to return to school. Dr gent is smart, efficient and excellent at his trade. I drive from New Jersey every eight weeks because he is the only doctor that seeks out the root cause of my medical issue. I can’t say enough about him and his staff who meet all of my needs. We need more doctors like Dr. Gent

I could have written both of the other reviews, but I didn't. He's a good doc, but his wife/office manager needs to to retire. Incredibly rude and unprofessional.

Almost two years ago I made the decision to take my health seriously and came to Dr. Gent on recommendation of another patient. I feel better than I have in ten years! Dr. Gent has treated my Hashimoto's with a "whole body" approach that has resolved most of the lingering symptoms other Doctor's ignored or ruled inconsequential. I HIGHLY recommend this practice! Dr. Gent and his staff are amazingly caring and knowledgeable about healing modalities that work and are not readily offered by traditional doctors. As I go through chelation IVs for heavy metal poisoning, I meet dozens of people who have successfully been treated for cancers, heart issues and glycoma. I realize how few doctors share knowledge about other ways to heal that work and are not dangerous or costly!!! Great guy but unprofessional front office.

I took my 10yr old daughter to him to treat her thyroid disease for a year. Dr. Gent is a nice enough man but having to deal with his wife, the office manager, took a toll on me and my husband. It was the oddest treatment by a medical office I've ever experienced. She has rage issues, threatens to charge extra fees and her last phone call, where she canceled my daughter's appointment because she hadn't received lab work yet (during Christmas holiday) was the last straw. Dr. Gent is wonderful! He helped me so much with a thyroid condition and today I am feeling so much better. Thank you Dr. Gent!! The staff is great too!!

I took my 10 yr old daughter to see Dr. Gent for her thyroid disease for the past year. He is a nice enough man but having to deal with his wife, the office manager, took a toll on me and my husband. Her last nasty message where she called to announce that she had canceled our daughter's appointment while scolding us, was my last straw. She constantly threatens to charge extra fees and seems to have rage issues. It was the oddest experience I've ever had. DO NOT go here.

Dr agent has a wonderful bedside manner. He listens to your concerns and really treats your problems and not just symptoms. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Gent is a caring, thorough doctor who listens to you and talks with you, giving you time as well as his great expertise in osteopathic medicine !
