Dr Fabricant is absolutely amazing. He has performed 4 surgeries on my daughter after she had 3 fractures due to figure skating. His technique and bedside manner is outstanding. His staff is cohesive, professional and supportive.

Dr. Fabricant and his entire staff have been nothing short of miracle workers with my daughter! We had a hard time finding a surgeon that was comfortable with her knee injury (broken tibia, ACL dislocation, Meniscus tear, etc) but Dr. F was comfortable and confident he could fix her - and he did! We are almost 8 weeks post-op now and she is healing beautifully! He went above and beyond to get her on his schedule ASAP so she wouldn't be suffering any longer than needed. His office is clean and extremely organized - everything is done electronically, which makes it SO easy for paperwork and appointments. About 4 years ago my then 10 year old gymnast daughter began experiencing pain in her knees. The pain continued to worsen & she became unable to fully participate and compete. A teammates parents recommend we see Dr. Fabricant after their positive experience with him. When we first met Dr. Fabricant we immediately felt comfortable. He has a great bedside manner, he is down to earth, and just a super nice guy. It was determined that my daughter needed surgery on both knees. Dr. Fabricant explained the procedure, and answered all questions. She recovered well from both surgeries, and today she is a healthy 14 year old varsity and all-star cheerleader. My son is currently being treated by Dr. Fabricant for issues with his leg alignment & knees. He is one surgery in with a second coming in the near future. We are just as happy with the care our son is receiving as we were with our daughter. Dr Fabricants staff is also top notch. Alex is warm, friendly, and knowledgeable. Babita & Chelsea are always helpful and prompt.

I can't say enough about HSS and Dr. Fabricant! From his surgical team to his front office staff, this is the best experience our family has ever had with a doctor. When my son was injured and we got an initial diagnosis from our local orthopedic, I researched his condition and was so thankful to find Dr. Fabricant. His OCD-Elbow diagnosis is not something every ortho knows how to treat properly and Dr. Fabricant is known to be one of the best. What we weren't prepared for was his amazing bedside manner and the responsiveness of his front office. Everything was taken care of for us-thought of--they answered the phone every time we called--we always got put in touch with whomever we needed to speak to. They responded to emails, got back to us on the portal-even the day of surgery-everything was truly seamless. I truly hope we never have to deal with his office again (as of course I hope my son stays healthy) but I can honestly say I will miss dealing with all these wonderful people.

He was very thorough with MRI and PT treatments and when we had to make a decision to finally get a surgery, we couldn't have asked for a better surgeon. My now 12 yo daughter had an elbow injury due to softball. 18 months of doctors visits, MRIs, CT Scans and physical therapy my daughter was not getting better. She was at the point where she couldn't even pull up her underwear. One recommendation to Dr. Fabricant and our diagnosis was ruled out. She had OCD of the elbow. Followed all recommendations for 6 months. Unfortunately, she needed surgery. Dr. Fabricant could not have been more hands on and more detailed of everything that was going to happen during surgery. Here we are almost 11 weeks post op and she feels like she has a new arm. She has a few more weeks of therapy but she feels like new and will be softball ready for 2022. My son (15) needed MPFL reconstruction after a football injury and we were referred to Dr. Fabricant from another HSS colleague who noticed his hip to toe alignment was off, making him more prone to knee injuries. As Dr. Fabricant also specializes in guided growth surgery to correct this, he performed both procedures and was wonderful! All of this in the height of Covid as cases were rising in Oct/Nov 2020, and even moved surgery up to ensure he got in as there was threat of closing. He is very patient, explains everything thoroughly, answers all questions, and talks to my son directly to ensure he understood everything as well. My daughter (17) fractured her shoulder in a sporting accident. I’ve been very happy with the care my daughter received from HSS and Dr Fabricant. Aside from being an excellent doctor, he’s always taken the time to explain things, which is very reassuring.

i tore my meniscus while i was in the pool on the fourth of july. I went to the er and they told me my knee was completely fine when i couldn't even bend or straighten it. My parents took me to take an MRI and it said i tore my meniscus. a few days after, we went to have an appointment with Dr. Fabricant and he told me i needed surgery. He really is a smart, down to earth person and fun doctor to be around. On the day of the surgery, he and his team assured me i am in good hands and i will be okay. In 2016 my daughter was diagnosed with a rare bone condition. We saw 7 doctors before finding Dr. Fabricant. The depth of his knowledge and incredible bedside manner set him apart from all the other orthopedists we visited. His treatment plan allowed my daughter to safely return to activity and she healed fully under his care. My experience with the medical care provided by Dr. P. Fabricant at the Hospital For Special Surgery was awful and traumatizing. My 3 year old son came in with a referral from his pediatrician. He suffered from an arm injury due to a playground fall so i requested x-rays on the entire right arm. Dr. P. Fabricant performed x rays on the elbow only because he felt no need to x ray the entire arm. The x ray showed no damage to the elbow so i continued to persist to request x rays on the remainder for the arm. Again, Dr. Fabricant diagnosed him with a nurses maid (dislocation) and dismissed me. He advised me to come back if the pain continues (as my son sits in his office screaming and hollering in pain). Days later the pain never subsided and two weeks later i got a 2nd opinion from Dr. Emily Dodwell. I learned it was a fracture in the upper arm (where Dr. Fabricant refused to x ray). I contacted the patient advocate unit and complained about Dr. Fabricants negligence to x ray my son. The unit simply forwarded my concerns to the doctor and i never received an apology nor follow up on this matter. I found this to be highly unprofessional and lousy medical practice. Dr. Fabricant had the choice to properly access my child’s fractured arm and it could have been healed way sooner. I do not recommend this doctor, please stay away from him. My nephew saw Dr. Fabricant for a toe injury. It was his first time having any serious injury so we were all very worried and anxious. Dr Fabricant is 5+ stars. Our 12 yr old son had MPFL surgery and the Dr and staff were very thorough. We went to 2 other surgeons prior and Dr Fabricant uncovered things in an MRI that others missed, which would have our left potentially disabled and further injured if we did notjing like the other 2 recommended. I took my daughter to see him two years ago because she walked strangely after a swimming practice and she felt tightness in her shoulder. Peter Fabricant carelessly examined her shoulder and took an x Ray of her shoulder and said everything is fine. After suffering two years ,we finally found her problem is she injured her lats and sarratus anterior and that caused shoulder pain, neck pain, torso rotation, scoliosis, hip rotations. Because of his diagnosis, I stopped looking for shoulder related problem. Shoulder is such a complex joint so many muscles go in there, he did not even suggest for physical therapy when a 8 years old complained shoulder tightness? He’s a good doctor but he tends to be very late. I had surgery scheduled and he picked up another case and made me wait 3 hours.

Dr. Fabricant is very professional and has a good bed side manner. I am was very anxious about my daughter’s injury but his confidence and expertise definitely reassured me.

Our 9 year old broke his femur and had emergency surgery the day it happened in Colorado with excellent orthopedic surgeons. We live in NYC and needed to follow-up on his after care but also find a surgeon who would remove the hardware holding his bone together when the time came. This past week, Dr. Fabricant, his wonderful office staff, the outstanding OR and recovery room nurses and the incredible Dr. Dan O'Neill (peds anesthesia) took the very best care of our son and us as well. We came home very early am on Thanksgiving and we are very, very grateful for this team that showered kindness along with the highest level of care for our family.
