Peter Dewire

I saw Peter Desire for 4 years for lower thigh and knee pain. He treated me the whole time for my knees when it was my hips. I walked in pain and hobbled. I went to So Shore orthopedics for a second opinion and was told my knees were fine and I needed 2 hip replacements. For 4 plus years there were signs it was my hips and he never picked up on it. I did have my hip surgeries and am ok now thanks to Drs. Ayers and McConville. I contacted his office and wrote to him and he never apologized.

Had an injury that my doctor said needs to be seen by an ortho doctor who specializes in foot surgery ASAP, as in same day. I called here and got a same day appt but was called 10 minutes later saying that he needs to see the x-rays first and could I drop them off and he would look at them and they'd call me to schedule an appt the following day. Well I drove to his office at Milton Hospital and walked on a bad foot quite way to find his office. No call back the next day so I called and was told he's in surgery...I reiterated that I needed to be seen that day and was told they would call me by 1:00. I didn't feel good about this response or or lack of concern so I contacted another Dr. Fast forward I was seen same day by my new doc and scheduled for MRI and surgery. I had Osteomyelitis, had surgery and was recovering when I finally got a call from Dr. Dewire's office on 10/23 at 4:50 p.m. (8 days later). My advice to anyone looking for a Dr. - don't go to this one!!!!!

I've had 2 knees and 2 hips replaced by Dr. Dewire and had great results. He is easy to talk to and will explain things to you that you can understand! His staff is very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend Dr. Dewire!

What a nice man. He knows his stuff, he's pleasant and kind. He listens well and answers in a way that you can understand the details.

Dr DeWire saved my foot after 6 failed talus fx surgeries. I believe he saved my life as well, as I was living in 8+ pain every day and he offered me hope I could live a normal life. I can't say enough about Dr DeWire & his impact on my health and life. He's a straight -shooter and takes his time with each patient..so if you are looking for a realistic treatment plan..you may wait a bit to hear what he has to say. Believe me, Dr DeWire is worth every minute.

I WENT FOR A SECOND OPINION, i FOUND HIS OFFICE STAFF VERY PLEASANT AND HELPFUL. ALTHOUGH THE NEWS WAS NOT I WANTED TO HEAR, HIS DELIVERY WAS POINT ON . WE ARE NOW FOLLOWING A SECOND OPTION, THAT I FEEL SATISFIED WITH. HE TELLS YOU RIGHT TO THE POINT AND FOLLOWS UP. I GIVE HIM 5 STARS !!!!!!

After a 2+ hour wait time, I am sitting in the exam room, with a straight leg brace on one leg and the other leg in horrible condition without a brace, along with shoulder injury, after an accident. The Dr opens the door with my chart in hand and proceeds to trip over and land on my braced leg. I am in crazy pain and he then gets up and says " OH" ! No excuse me, sorry, are you Ok?, I'm so confused. He then asks , what brings you here today? Really? What a horrible, rude experience.

Dr. Dewire is bothe knowledgeable and caring. He has great bedside manner and explains your condition in both medical and non medical terms for you to understand. He is patient and allows for collaborative decision making on your plan of care. The office staff is amazingly sweet and aware of your families needs during the time your care is needed. I would recommend all family in friends to choose Dr Dewire for their orthopedic care.

I have been to Dr. Dewires office about four times for a broken leg/ankle. His staff members Doris & Jane have been VERY pleasant and helpful. Sometimes there's been a little wait but someone would always make sure to let me know when I'm next. Dr. Dewire has always been professional and he did a great job with my surgery. Thank you for all you're hard work! Kathy

Dr. Dewire did my foot, ankle and calf surgery. I found it to be a complete success, He is extremely knowledgeable an expert in his field. His office staff were excellent. Although busy very responsive engaging and polite. I would & have recommended Dr. Dewire to both friends and family.. George W. Hrabushi

Horrible service by the rude office ladies. The service should've been a lot better to patients who've just had surgery and in awful pain. Those medical assistants/receptionists disappear from their desks until someone has to yell... helloooo. Doctor so far is good but still waiting to see him for the followup
