Doctor needs to work on bedside manner was slightly rude and very short with me

SIMPLY THE BEST I have nothing but great things to say about this entire staff. Efficient, great service, successful surgery, wonderful staff, nurses, PA, and doctors. Thank you for taking care of me.

My mom was a new patient here because of her hip surgery which happened on May 7th. We filled out all this new paperwork with medications etc etc we had a 1:30 appointment didn't wait too long but then mom says she went in and the person was asking her all these questions that were already filled out what's the sense in filling out this paperwork. This was a follow-up appointment with the instructions on her discharge papers said to come in between five and six weeks after the operation so we did exactly that and they wonder why we came in early which wasn't her lie to us then they gave us another appointment for 6 weeks later. I would never let this man operate on me again

Very disappointed. I had an appointment for 2:30pm. I checked in at 2:25pm. It was 3:45pm and still I wasn’t even called in. I ended up canceling my appointment. When I was in the waiting room there was this lady that had a hip replacement, she had an appointment at 2:15 and they just called her in at 3:45pm. They waited an hour and a half. We exchanged stories. This wasn’t the first time for either one of us. They make their patients sit there and wait for long periods of time. When you make an appointment that’s when you should be seen. I don’t mind waiting 10 or 15 minutes. But an a hour or an hour and half. That’s uncalled for. There’s no need for this. People have jobs and places to be..A Supervisor needs to look into this. The office manager didn’t care. I tried talking to her and she smirked and rudely walked away. Very disappointed. You will wait for at least over an hour and a 1/2 from your actual appointment time before you see the doctor. And then you will spend all of 5 minutes with him. How is he behind if he doesn't even spend time with his patients?!

Great staff friendly and great doctor.

Extremely displeased with my 89 year old mother's appointment process. We had a 1:00 P.M. appoint and arrived 15 min early to fill out a mountain of forms of which many were not relevant to our visit. Finally, in exam room at 2:05 waiting on the doctor. 40 minutes later still waiting in this hot, stuffy exam room. No one bothered to check on us or inform us the doctor was running late. Only after I went back up to the front office to ask questions did they decide to send in the P.A. instead who, by-the-way, was the only bright spot of this visit as he was very courteous. Recommendation was to perform MRI. MRI accomplished. Then we get a call to make an appointment to go over the results. I asked why can't we get the results over the phone, especially if there are no severe issues? It's not fair or wise to drag my ailing mother back down to the office, in this covid environment, to discuss the results when a telephone call would suffice. "We don't normally do that," I was told. Then they determined they don't even have all the results to begin with but stated they will get the results and ask the P.A. to give us a call. Well, almost two weeks later we are still waiting on results and no call. Today, I went down to the radiology office myself and picked up my mother's results because this office can't seem to get them or doesn't care to. Dr. Candelora did my right knee surgery and after a year and physical therapy and exercise my knee still didn't heal he said it was because of my culture I'm African-American never heard of that in my life

Bad experience! Would never recommend to anyone. Find any other orthopedic surgeon. Very condescending and very bad bedside manner. Not worth my time or money.

My exam was thorough and all my questions were answered. Everything was explained to me. The PA took his time.

Treated me for hip pain for many months. Turns out the pain is coming from my lower back. I'm an athlete and have been out of commission for a YEAR necause of this problem. I had to beg to be sent to a provider that performed Radio frequency ablation. He said my spinal stenosis couldn't possibly be related to nerve pain in the front of my hip. Called his office for a one time script of pain meds while I waited for my injection by wonderful Chad Gorman, MD. Thank God I don't have an HMO. I can find my own specialists. Was told they don't prescribe pain meds. The guys an orthopedist. A HIP!!!specialist. Surley the DEA doesn't hassle surgeons too much? Hey Florida doctors. Not every patient is a drug seeker! Got my RFA procedure and pain is gone! He wasted 8 months of my life.He doesn't even pretend to be enthusiastic. He's much older. Retire and stop wasting people's money. Or should I say Medicare's money. The recent response from this provider is bull. My problem may be multiple issues but we didn't go into that during my visit. Just an injection into my hip. Turns out I have an uneven pelvis which cause hip and back issues. Found this out from a chiropractor. Treated me for hip pain for many months. Turns out the pain is coming from my lower back. One hour wait. Not happy at all.

Was not happy. I dont believe he even looked at my records didnt explain anything to me about my xrays had to go to another doctor to find out. Gave me a script for procedure at PT when I let him know I have an implant and had allergies.

Dr. Candelora has an office staff that is very difficult to work with. I have a Traumatic Brain Injury that causes confusion and short term memory loss. Even when I called to change appointments they marked it No Show! Their address was posted wrong on web I went to wrong place they didn’t care informed me to find a different doctor. THIS SHOWS PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES ARE NOT TREATED WITH UNDERSTANDING AND GIVEN THEIR RIGHTS UNDER “THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITY ACT “ BY HIS OFFICE. The employees were “new” and didn’t notate my disability or care that it contributed to the situation. Don’t support Dr Candelora by allowing his staff to treat individuals this way. If he was concerned with patient care he would never let his office staff treat people especially with disabilities this way. Dr. Candelora has an office staff that is very difficult to work with. The staff is very friendly and efficient and Dr. Candelora is very easy to talk to and very attentive. I feel very comfortable in his office.

Staff and the Dr were very friendly and compassionate. The Dr actually listens to your concerns and makes sure you understand the treatment plan.

Dr. Candelora is a doctor who takes pride in his work and does an excellent job. I was so pleased with the surgery he performed when I broke my hip. He made sure my legs were the same length and my hip works perfectly. Thank you, Dr. Candelora

Dr Canelora replaced both my hips in 2020, in August I went to him 7 months after the rt hip was done, with two concerns, one was I was having considerable new pain in the rt hip and he left my really hideously deformed. His response, never had an infection in 30 years, and ladies, he said to me, " Well, it's not like you are going to be wearing a bikini or anything". Well no I am not planning on wearing a bikini, but I do not want to be deformed! On 10/30/20, Dr did an aspiration of both hips, on 11/03/20 he told me I had no infection, on 11/11/20 I was admitted into Trinity Hospital, I could barely walk. On 11/16/20, Dr Sundaresh, ordered another aspiration of my hips, this time not done by Dr Candelora. Turns out Dr C. had not even removed enough fluid to be tested and I had a pseudamonos infectionin the right hip. I was re-admitted into the hospital. After waiting until a "former NFL player" finished a spiel, through an answering machine, about the "wonderful services of Dr. Candelora", I gave my information to one of his staff members, along with my complaint of right hip pain. Prior to this call, I had arranged to have the records from an MRI and a hip X-ray sent to his office electronically. Dr. Candelora refused, right out of hand, to see me, and referred me to a spine specialist. Talk about a waste of time! If I didn't have to award him one "star" on this review just to send it, he would not have received any from me. The doctor has to approve you before an appointment can be scheduled. 10 page useless patient information packet and then no on reads it and they take 15 minutes asking you questions. Had to give signature to five additional pages. The office took my picture for office purposes enough though they made a copy of my license.Waited an hour to see the doctor. No real exam of my knee and wanted me to come back in two weeks but did not have an appointment for 4 weeks. No addressing the problem and I feel wasting my time and money. I am a retired nurse and had the same problem in my other knee which was a torn meniscus. Will not go back to this doctor. I waited for over an hour to see the doctor. Once I got to see him I think he did a very thorough job. I have another appointment with him.

The doctor has treated me well since I have been with him. I got the cannabis I needed. I'm still going to him.

After 3 visits, I still have not met or seen Dr. Candelora, only his PA. Mr. Sanchez seems to be on top of my situation.

Friendly and courteous. They actually listen to what you say and describe and take the time to make sure you understand your condition and what they are saying and recommending.
