They sent me to collections for $17. Turns out they did not have the correct mailing address on file but had my correct phone #. Not once did I receive a phone call. If they were able to bill my insurance then they HAD THE CORRECT MAILING ADDRESS. They could have reached out to me by phone to verify billing or call my insurance and get the correct address. I would have gladly paid them the $17 in full HAD I KNOWN. I had to pay over $20 in fees just to pay this in full! I am trying to buy a house and am almost 8 months pregnant, this is incredibly stressful for $17! Update: I received a phone call back from the billing department. They admitted that they had the incorrect address and that there was nothing further they can do. I tried to explain that their error sent my account to collections. When I asked to speak to a supervisor Dawn said that was not possible and she would send my information to the field supervisor. She then hung up me. They sent me to collections for $17. I did not see him but went to a dr. for a mole that was analyzed. The dr recommended it be cut out and tested. I had no idea it was going to be $290 to test/analyze for melanoma and totally disagree with such an outlandish charge. My dr didn't mention the cost as I guess they assume we all have funds for this type of thing. in any other type of service cost is always mentioned. I understand health and wellness is extremely important but really $290 to check for melanoma?
