Dr. Bessas is excellent and very conscientious of his patience needs. I would recommend him highly to anyone who needs a Doctor Who will listen and follow through.

Dr. Bessas is one in a MILLION. I have suffered on and off for most of my adult life from a literal crippling condition. It was interfering with my work, my family, and most of all my personal well being... He sat me down and just let me speak. Didn't interrupt, didn't speak over me, just let me speak. After WE came up with a plan,I feel like ME again. And I have no one to thank but Dr. Bessas. He is compassionate beyond comprehension. He WILL listen to you. He WILL not judge you. He WILL do everything in his power to make sure you're comfortable. This is not a Dr who tells you what you're going to do, he is a Dr who comes up with multiple options to a situation and asks you what you feel comfortable doing and or trying first. There's not enough space on here for me to tell you truly how amazing this guy is at a human level. I couldn't take the suffering much longer. I honestly don't know if I would be writing this right now if I did not meet this person. I truly feel he saved my life.

Dr. Bessas is a fanastic doctor. He is extremely relatable and takes the time to really get to understand you and your medical concerns and history. There is a bit of a long wait to get your first appointment with him, but he's well worth it. Kind, genuine, and personable.

Great doctor! Read the reviews and added myself to their (rather long) waitlist back in February (prior to a cross-country move). Office staff was very friendly and accommodating. Upon request, they emailed me the forms in advance. This allowed me more time to complete them thoroughly. Office was very clean and the waiting room was not overcrowded (unlike most doctors these days - even during a global Pandemic). We were seen right on schedule. This is such a welcome change from Florida, where your time is not respected and they overbook the doctor. Dr. Bessas didn’t treat us like names on a chart. He took the time to get to know us and ask what’s worked well and what hasn’t. I forgot to ask for 90-day mail-in RX’s during my visit, but as I was checking out the office staff offered to get permission from the doctor to change it (which saves me money). Found out while checking out that they even draw blood on site. No more quest diagnostic waiting rooms! Good doctors seem few and far between. I’m very fortunate and happy to have found his practice! I saw Dr.Bessas for the first time today. I recently moved to Portland from Atlanta. I have had a SEVERE ongoing condition for over 2 years now. I have seen many physicians, mostly in ER settings mind you, over the years. Some are truly there to help and some... Well, I won't go there. Of EVERY SINGLE physician I have ever had to see, Dr. Bessas is THE MOST COMPASSIONATE, UNDERSTANDING,AND KNOWLEDGEABLE doctor I have ever met. He will talk with you, not at you. He is the best doctor I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. I'm sure there are MANY other great doctors in this world, but I honestly feel, this guy is something special. I can't say enough, I'm truly at a loss for words with my first experience as a patient. I FEEL better already, knowing I have someone like him in my corner. Dr. Bessas is very kind and takes the time to connect with his patients to best understand what their needs are in a safe space. I have only ever had to wait maybe 10 minutes before being taken back in the few years that I have gone to him. The office staff are equally great to interact with.

Dr Bessas and his staff are amazing. Having infortunatly frequent medical care, D B has been accurate with diagnosis, attentive, amazing care compared to Providence and Vancouver clinic physicians just to name a few comparisons. Dr B star rating far exceeds 5.

Dr Bessas is awesome! I stumbled across his practice during a google search, after looking for a new family doctor and pediatrician for our kids. Kind, compassionate, thorough, knowledgeable, caring, genuine - reminiscent of days gone by. He’s a gift to my husband and myself.

Dr. Bessas and his staff are exceptional. Never a longer wait than 15-20 minutes to be seen. Dr. Bessas takes his time to listen to any health concerns you might have and makes the best recommendations possible. I highly recommend him to anyone!

Dr Bessas is engaging, he listens and gives direct advice. He does not take offense when I ask for clarification on his opinion. He has put me in touch with specialists that have made a profound impact on my health and quality of life. His staff is friendly, courteous, and on time. I have been looking for a new primary care provider for quite some time. I finally came across Dr. Bessas doing a web search and decided to give him a try. This wasn’t without much hesitation, as I had been feeling defeated in my search and with the medical industry in general. I have been struggling with many health issues for several years and was desperate to find a doctor who is kind, caring, compassionate and would listen. I scheduled my first visit with Dr. Bessas and he more than exceeded my expectations. We accomplished more in my first appointment, than I had in the past 10 years with my previous provider. I’m not a particularly emotional person, but I left my appointment in tears, out of pure joy. I felt like a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders. The physical struggles and limitations I’ve dealt with over the years had left me feeling hopeless. Dr. Besss gave me hope again. For the first time, in I don’t know how long, I feel optimistic about my future, even with my health issues. This is a man who truly cares with every fiber of his being and practices medicine for all the right reasons. He will make you feel heard and cared for, because he genuinely does care about his patients and their well being. He doesn’t herd you in and out like cats. He takes his time and is thorough. He has a quality that is so special and nearly impossible to find these days. And I have been through the gamut of various health care providers in many different fields. I’ve been through two doctors since I moved to Vancouver before seeing Doctor. Bessas. I’ve always been picky about my doctor as everyone should, because you’re health is the most important thing in life. It’s important to have a doctor who try’s there best to understand you and care for your health needs. Doctor Peter does just that while being personable and genuine. He is by far one of the best doctors I’ve ever had. He truly cares about his patients as a people and not just patients. Plus all the office girls are always so awesome and friendly. I appreciate how empathetic Dr Bessas is to patient issues, even when they are not clean-cut and simple. I have never waited more than fifteen minutes past my appointment to be seen. As he does not rush his patients and takes the time they need to be heard and to help them, I don't mind waiting a bit to see him from time to time. I'm sure I've made him late to his next patient once myself. He is a general practictioner, not a specialist but I like having one doctor as a point guy.

Dr Bessas has been my primary care provider for over 2 years. I have never met such a compassionate and caring doctor that he is. I trust him to give me the best advice and care. I feel very lucky to be in his practice.

Dr. Bessas was awesome. He was very attentive to my needs and seemed to genuinely care which was a nice change. I would highly recommend him.

Dr Bessas provides superior medical care, spending as much time is needed within your scheduled visit. His staff are professional, courteous, and helpful when emergencies occur and an immediate appointment is necessary.

I drive 150 miles each way after moving to Tacoma to remain with Dr. Bessas, and all the staff. After 10 years as his patient, it feels like visiting family not a dreaded doctor visit. Highest recommendation I could possibly give goes to Dr.B and staff!!! For 10 years now!! The best!!

Great doctor and excellent staff. Every time I go in I feel like they all really care about me and my well-being. My only complaint is that sometimes the wait can get long for appointments. But it balances out, as he'll listen to all my concerns, taking as much time as I need. I have never felt rushed or judged by anyone there, and I feel like I have a personal connection with the team there. Dr. Bessas has taken meticulous care of my entire family for many years. He is by far the best medical practitioner whom I have ever known because he takes a personal interest in his clients and their well being. I would recommend Mr. Bessas without reservation to anyone looking for the best medical care available in this world.

Dr. Bessas and all of his staff are exceptional! I was a patient at Providence for a long time, and their business model was to herd patients through, sacrificing care. Dr. Bessas' office is the opposite - they will spend as much time as is needed to make sure that you're taken care of and all of your questions are answered. It may mean that I have to wait a bit longer for my appt., but it's absolutely worth it to feel like I am getting the best care. I am so grateful to have a provider I trust

Great guy, but I've waited nearly an hour both times I've come to his office. Don't try to sneak in at lunch unless you have a lenient employer.

By far the best doctor I've ever had. He not only listened to me without judgement but offered real solutions that have improved my life 100%

I was one of Dr. Bessas's first patients. That was 13 years ago. Since then he has been like family to my whole family. He is so caring and understanding. Truly one of the best doctors in the country.

While healthcare is getting increasingly corporate, making patients feel like cogs in the machine, Dr. Bessas is a shining Beacon in the fog. He provides, compassionate, patient-centered care that is respectful of and responsive to individual patient preferences, needs, and values.

Dr. B. has been our family doctor for over 12 years. He is one of the BEST! He takes the time to know you and your family. It's not just a cattle call. His office staff is also very awesome. They all are very welcoming and just make you feel like they truly care.

Dr. Bessas is a wonderful physician. He truly cares about his patients and treats people with dignity and respect. I was looking around for a Dr. I could have confidence in, and Dr. Bessas was recommended to me. I am so glad that I saw him and that he is now my Doctor. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Bessas is a friendly guy. But I've been going to him for over 5 years and every single time I have an appointment (which is usually just 1x per year) I wait for over an hour to see him, even if I show up early. The office staff is unapologetic, unfriendly, and unhelpful. Every time, there is an issue with my bill. Usually it's billed incorrectly to my insurance and then I have to deal with the office staff who consistently fail to fix the issue. I'd try another doctor if I were you.

Dr. Bessas is the best family medicine doctor I have seen. He listens intently to what you say and genuinely cares. He and his staff are kind and extremely competent. He is not part of a group so he can treat you as an individual and not like part of a herd.
