Dr. Wittgrove is the most professional and at the same time caring doctor. She delivered my daughter 16 years ago. She is our angel, saved my daughter's life and my life, as I was very sick with Preeclampsia, something that my prior doctor had not addressed. She took care of me from the first appointment and successfully delivered my daughter at 34 weeks. I will forever be grateful. This is not my provider I am writing on behalf of a friend who shared their experience and I hope no one ever has to go through this. This provider has terrible bedside manner. When my friend went through a loss she fondant treat her with kindness or compassion. She instead made a joke about how about life would be easier. She also failed to guide her through this challenging time. My friend doesn’t want to post here in case she needs to go back for anything. I work in Health care and i have seen these reviews and have seen how she blames the stress of the pandemic. I have more compassion in the ED with patients going through what my friend went through than this provider did. That has been a challenging time too and a very challenging place for the pandemic, but there is no excuse for this type of behavior. If you are not willing to be there for your patients why are you here? This woman was by far the worst effing obgyn a pregnant woman could have. She does not listen to you, acknowledge you or respect any of your beliefs and wishes. Fat shamed me and would ask what I was eating while pregnant and criticize my diet (vegan) would try to push eating meat on me. I developed preeclampsia in my third trimester (so severe that i could barely get off the couch and bed) she did not whatsoever believe me or test me for it when i said i was worried that i had it because i got so swollen (my grandmother and mother also had it) one night i felt so feverish and swollen and couldn’t even wiggle my toes it was so bad, we ran to the hospital to be told immediately by a NURSE that its a good thing we came in when we did because i was severely preeclamptic and could have lost the baby or even my life. Yet every monthly and weekly visit i had with Dr.Whittgrove they would make me do a pee test and couldn’t see all the protein in my urine??? This specific obgyn and doctors office is also very greedy when it comes to giving ultrasounds. I know so many mamas who got an ultrasound every single visit. This place was terrible, this woman was terrible and if I had the money and knew everything on how to I’d sue her in a heartbeat. She made my pregnancy a living hell. Do not whatsoever get this woman as your obgyn unless you want an old karen who is stuck in her ways, and especially if you’re a young mama because she will 100% take advantage of that and think you want know right from wrong since you’re young. If you are a person of color, I don’t recommend seeing this doctor at all. My husband and I went in for a check up and she definitely wasn’t friendly as she should have been. When she first came in, she asked my husband to put his mask up a little in a slight rude way but we just brush it off, which is understandable but she didn’t knock how doctors usually do before entering in. Next she begin to ask what happen and I was kindly explaining it to her and I have a soft voice so it’s not loud, and she again rudely say “can you speak up, I can’t hear you”. My husband and I look at each other and brush it off once more. I told her about this issue I had, and she was really assuming that my husband and I was doing something such as drinking Alcohol or smoking because to sum up what she said, she basically was implying we might have done something to harm our baby. Which is definitely not true because we don’t drink nor smoke. It’s more I can say but I’m not going into details, but I’m really tired of these doctors like her that creates a false narrative on people of color. It’s hard to find black doctors here in SD, because that was I was looking for to begin with but no luck. I literally would give -0 stars if that was a thing. If you want to wait for over an hour and not get your concerns heard or completely ignored then this is your Dr and her colleague Dr Brown another dispointment!!

Dr. Wittgrove is a saint! She was masterfully proficient at all her duties and really cares about my wife and baby. Throughout the whole pregnancy she was on top of things and made for great company in the delivery room while we cheered on the misses! Would gladly recommend her to anyone!

Love Dr. Wittgrove, I have been going to her for years, she delivered my son 27 years ago. Always kind, sweet & listens. Cannot say enough good things about her. The staff has always been very friendly and accommodating.

Dr Wittgrove is the absolute best. She's knowledgeable and highly skilled. Her team care alot and they are so friendly. Thank you Dr. Wittgrove.

Dr Whitgrove delivered both of my children and has been my obgyn for 14 years. She is kind and considerate and always puts my health first and goes above and beyond for my needs. Even though my insurance changed which she doesn't take I still go to her because I fee she has my health and best interest. I highly recommend her to anyone. I am so glad that Dr. Wittgrove is under my insurance plan! I went to my first pregnancy checkup a few weeks ago and she made the whole thing much less scary and awkward than I thought it might be. =) She is very knowledgeable, kind, easy going, and had great patient-provider communication she gave plenty of openings for questions (which helped because ...pregnancy brain, lol). I felt listened to and cared for, Dr. Wittgrove is awesome!

Dr. Wittgrove is amazing! She is professional, knowledgeable, caring and to the point. She offered options for my diagnosis and was there for me every step through pre-op, surgery and recovery. The ladies at the front desk are always nice and her assistant nurse Jasmine is extremely knowledgeable and skilled. I cannot recommend her and her team enough.

I have been a patient of Dr. Wittgrove for about 7 years now and I absolutely love the service and the quality of the care I receive from Dr. Wittgrove and staff. The staff is always helpful and understanding. Dr. Wittgrove always takes the time to hear me out and what my concerns are for me. She never has degraded me for my "stupid" questions! I highly recommend her to anyone that is looking for a female doctor. She always has a smile and a great attitude! I really like how Dr. Wittgrove took her time to listen to my concerns and explain the different types of options I had with my condition. The only thing I didn't like is I average a 30 minute wait time (after my appointment time) in the waiting room alone and on one visit they were behind close to an hour.
