Always a great patient experience for me when I visit Dr Merrill .Her staff is exceptional. She is very thorough with my eye care. She sets and face me when talking to me, and not at me She listens thoroughly to me. I trust and feel very comfortable with her, and I know she is taking very excellent care of my eyes. Today she announced she is leaving and she referred another opthamologist to me. Me and my wife wish her the best with all her endeavors she is an excellent Doctor.

Dr. Merrill is highly skilled, very thorough in her examinations, and has a terrific ability to explain complex issues in terms you can understand. She is thoroughly professional and yet very personable. Since my first visit I have considered myself exceptionally lucky to be in her care.

Had my 6 month checkup today. Appt ran on time, all the staff was professional and courteous. Dr Merrill explained the days results which fortunately were all good and recommended a follow up visit in 6 months.

My experience with Dr. Merrill has been incredible. I first met her with a fully detached retina in my right eye. I had no vision in that eye. She performed the surgery to repair the damage. The next day I had vision. Not fully clear because of the oil filling the eyeball. 7 months later the oil was removed. My vision is probably 95 to 97% of what it was before the detachment. My vision is beyond anything I could have hoped for. I was blessed to have her skills and professionalism used on me. Thank you Dr, Merrill,

Dr Merrill is very patient and she understood my fear. I had several retina tears, she was very concerned and through and professional my entire appointment. I felt that Dr Merrill took her time and I wasn’t scheduled, I was a emergency appointment at the end of the day. I felt very safe she reviewed my my examination a couple of times. I felt very comfortable and she made sure I was during my proms king sure I was comfortable. I would recommend Dr Merrill in a heartbeat ??

Today was my 1st visit with Dr. Merrill and as a nurse, who deals with Doctors everyday, I must say I was very impressed! She answered ALL of my questions and explained things to me in detail in relation to my condition.

Often appointments are long, depending on what the color tomography exam shows. BUT since moving to Illinois, 12 yrs ago, I have seen Dr Merrill for my wet macular degeneration treatment & am very satisfied with her expertise/ knowledge & time to explain & make recommendations & allows choices to be made. Definitely would recommend her & even my regular eye doctor agrees she is doing phenomenal job in my treatments. IF any emergency arises, which it has, she makes time for you to see you @ whichever office she is at. She is very astute to the importance of saving your vision.

I have a serious Macular pucker that has affected my vision for over 3 years. Dr. Merrill has suggested that I have a vitrectomy to prevent further damage and restore some of my vision. Dr. Merrill is thorough , thouthfull, empathetic and brilliant, what more can you ask for in a physician.

Excellent and I will miss having her as my Dr. when she retires. I have total confidence in her catching tears in my retina as well as fixing them. I never feel pain during the process.
