Dr. Paula J Harmon

My daughter had her adenoids removed on 3/1. We were told to follow up in three weeks which will be next week. I spoke with doctor prior to surgery, but not afterwards. Their scheduler Jennifer has been contacted three times with no success. I called into the answering service and spoke with Dr. Thomas over the past weekend as my daughter is grabbing on her neck and one of the signs on the follow up paperwork says if the patient suffers from stiffness in neck contact the doctor. Dr. Thomas stated he would follow up with staff on Monday. I am more than disappointed as Dr. Harmon came highly recommended from our pediatrician. They don’t know how to be ethical and conduct the follow up, but better believe they will know how to bill my Tricare. Do better!! Update 3/16/23 I have called your front desk to ask for name below. This would be my second voice mail for her as well. Daughter name is Kalani T. Professionalism is lacking! The best way to handle this is for you to call me personally.

Dr. Harmon was very nice when we first met her. However, that’s where it ended. She put tubes in my son’s ears and never came to the room post surgery to debrief or let me know how everything went. I tried contacting her for DAYS after the surgery since my son couldn’t tolerate the drops she prescribed. Finally 4 days later, I heard back from a doctor I had never even spoken to before. In another instance, she hung up on me when I asked her to please switch my son’s ear drops since they were causing pain. She told me she was in the middle of a “trauma case” and that if I wanted the drops changed I’d have to take my son to the urgent care. The time she spent arguing on the phone with me, she could have spent simply calling in a new prescription. As I mentioned, she’s nice to your face but she’s extremely rude and clearly unprofessional if you need her outside of your appointment time. I would never recommend her or her office.

The Dr. did a surgery on my Doctor and she explained to us every detail .she did an excellent Job

Horrible office. Rude front desk staff (when my wife asked a question to clarify the woman's request, she sighed and repeated the exact same thing she had just said but slower). Then we had to pick which parent went with our child to speak with the doctor. This upset our child horribly, and when we asked them why, they just said, "it's our policy". When we pressed the issue, they just dismissed our concerns. Then, during discussions with my wife, Dr. Harmon made a comment that, "masks don't always protect you from COVID". Really? Wish we had checked reviews on the practice first, as most of the doctors have around 3 stars overall. Maybe their ratings will go up if they start prioritizing providing good service. There's definitely much better care for your child in the area, and you can be sure we won't be returning to this particular practice.

First, let me say Dr. Harmon is wonderful. The only reason that I did not give five stars is because the scheduling department here is awful. My son was having sinus surgery and a bronchoscopy at the same time. I called and emailed multiple staff members for over a week with no response. If the pulmonology office had not reached out to PENTA, we would have had to have waited another month to schedule surgery. In addition, I called to schedule a follow up appointment for post-op and I was told someone would call me to schedule. It has been over a week since surgery and I have heard from no one. With all that said Dr. Harmon is friendly, warm, and caring. We are glad that we chose her to do my son’s surgery, but the management of the office definitely needs improvement. She is the best excellent!!!!

Dr. Harmon has a true heart for her patients. She will take her time to figure out the diagnosis and BEST treatment plan for each patient... rather than provide cookie cutter care.

Dr. Harmon is the BEST pediatric ENT! She quickly diagnosed my baby and made him feel so comfortable. We will be patients for life. Great team as well!!

Dr. Harmon is an excellent physician and has great bedside manner. She actually listened and addressed our concerns. She ensured that I understood the procedure that my baby required and performed ENT procedures. She is the only ENT Specialist I would trust with the healthcare needs of my child. Dr. Harmon is 5 stars. Both of my children have been plagued with ENT issues, and she has done ear tubes and removal of tonsils and adenoids for both. She is a top-notch surgeon, who is not only skilled with her craft, but she is a caring and compassionate person. Those skills cannot be taught in school. They come from the heart. Dr Harmon had been seeing my daughter for years. Unfortunately she has aged out of Children’s Healthcare system. You are in good hands if you are a patient of Dr Harmon. She has always been kind and caring. My daughter and I will surely miss her. She is a wonderful doctor.

Dr. Harmon has taken care of my son a few years back and my daughter now. Excellent physician with great bedside manner and helps to ease the need of others. Our very first time coming to see Dr. Harmon my daughter was so nervous and she’s a teen , but when Dr. Harmon came in and was talking to her she made her feel so comfortable in an uncomfortable procedure ! Dr.Harmon is excellent. We could not be more happy with her professionalism and bright personality. She took great care of our son and everything went well.

We didn't have a good experience with Dr. Harmon. She's very loud (my daughter has sensory issues and doesn't like loud sounds) and rushes you through appointments. But the major issue was Dr. Harmon's surgical skills. My daughter had an issue with an overabundance of wax and after two traumatic/painful procedures of extracting the it with a tool while she was awake, we decided to put my daughter under anesthesia to get all of it out. After the procedure that night, I looked in one of my daughter's ears and there was still a huge chunk of impacted wax. When I called Dr. H's nurse the next day and asked why there was so much wax left in her ear, she told me it was probably new wax that had formed. I reminded her that my daughter had the procedure the previous day and the nurse said, "Well sometimes wax forms pretty quickly." ??????? We never went back.

Absolutely wonderful experience! Doctor Harmon treats children like her we own. I can't recommend a better doctor. Dr. Harmon is the best!

Dr. Harmon and her staff took very good care of my daughter!

This review is long overdue. Dr. Harmon has cared for my son since he was 2 weeks old. Now 7 months later all I can say is she is definitely special. I hope no parent ever has to place their child into the arms of a surgeon, but if you do I recommend Dr. Harmon. If I wasn’t for her it’s very possible my baby would have died in his sleep. She treats my family with care and love. She has never made me feel like I was overreacting, or made me feel like I was “annoying” like some providers can do from time to time. Took care of my son as if he was her own.. . Very down to earth and knows her stuff. Puts the patient first... PERIOD. i don't know of a better doctor in Georgia. Dr. Harmon is thorough, knowledgeable and down right a miracle worker. Excellent bedside manner. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my children!

My son had the worst experience ever. Dr. Harmon should not be a pediatric doctor she is very unprofessional and does not car about her patients. My son was stated he was awake during his surgery and could feel ever thing. She did not even come out after the surgery to check on my son or do a follow visit with him. Jennifer is also very unprofessional.

Dr Harmon loves her job and loves kids. She is the best of the best. If the wait time is long it's Because everybody wants to see her... So be patient. Her level of expertise is second to none! A miracle worker! I can't think of anything bad to say except she doesn't have a twin or hasnt been cloned. The level of care that she showed for my son was very reassuring and set my family's mind at ease. Not that it matters, but she is a mother and just has that warm and calming spirit.

This is the best ENT doctor I have ever came across. Dr. Paula Harmon take care of her children no matter where they come from. I love this doctor I come all the way from Maryland to bring my son to see her. She is the best.

We really love her. She has taken very good care of my daughter's ENT needs and my daughter likes her a lot too.

I know first hand how hard Dr. Harmon works to make sure that family oriented care and precision are top priority. The office is very busy, but she takes the time to explain the details of the problem and eased our concerns

Dr.Harmon was very nice and helpful. My 12 year old daughter feels comfortable with her. She cleaned out her ears 9 months ago. She will be taking out her tonsils tomorrow and will update.

Dr. Harmon does not care about kids or their family's. Very rude, nasty and unprofessional to patients if you ask questions about a produce.

Loved, loved, loved Dr. Harmon! Super personable and warm and most importantly she has top notch training! Highly recommend if you are interested in a friendly, energetic, caring who takes her time and doesn't make you feel rushed or that your questions are silly then Dr. Harmon is for you!

My entire experience was very nice, that includes my son, my husband and I....from the consultation appt on up to surgery. VERY friendly staff, bubbly Dr. Harmon, a well kept office...always a plus!!! Dr.Harmon did the consult and surgery as promised and my son did very well. After surgery, we received a call and a post card from the staff?? I would definitely, with no doubt in my mind recommend Dr. Harmon to family ,friends & strangers?? "Go there, go there! We saw Dr. Harmon today for a frenectomy for our 7 day old baby, and were impressed by her effectiveness and responsiveness to our concerns. She was thorough but fast, and made the process as painless as it could be for both our baby and her worried parents.

Dr. Harmon has been absolutely wonderful. She, her nurse, the nurse practitioner, & office staff were calm, attentive, compassionate, & thorough. To say this office is organized is an understatement. This office functions like a well oiled machine. Every step is planned out, & explained. Even help in setting appointments, planning surgery, what to do before & after. They called us at home, the following day, to see how my granddaughter was doing.

She was amazing! She answered all of our questions and never rushed us. She as patient and had a great personality overall. It felt like we were talking to a family member. In order to get appointments with her I schedule at whatever location she is available at without concern of travel distance. Thank you so much

Dr. Harmon was so knowledgeable, patient, explained things in detail to me and my husband during our daughters first ear visit about two weeks ago. Very Caring Doctor and very personable. Dr. Harmon sure she did everything in her power to ensure my daughter had the best Ear Health/exam.
