Nothing but good things to say about Dr. Weitzel. When faced with any kind of surgery trust and confidence in your doctor are critical. Dr. Weitzel has treated many of my friends and family members and when the word of mouth about a particular physician is that good it’s sort of a no-brainer.

Excellent doctor! He is on time and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Dr Weitzel is the best! He walked me through my diagnosis and options in such a clear way and helped me come to the right decision for me.

I think Dr. Weitzel is an awesome doctor, I'd have no other, but wish the others in the establishment would use Fran and not the formal Frances when talking with me. .

I have seen Dr Weitzel several times for my shoulder and my wife has seen him for an issue in the knee he is always responsive and helpful

I received the most amazing care from MD Weitzel and his team. My appointments were on time. The surgery saved my leg and gave me back my life. I will be forever grateful. The team was attentive and caring. My questions/concerns were always answered and I never felt rushed. Can’t say enough positive things about my care. Blessed and grateful. Dr. Wetzel is a caring doctor. He takes his time with you and shows you any scans that they take. Then while showsing them to you he points out any issues as there are in my case. I have seen Dr. Weitzel for most of my orthopedic issues. He is friendly, compassionate, & doesn’t rush through appointments. His office staff, too, are very friendly & helpful. Facility (Waltham) is clean. I would recommend BSSC, Dr. Weitzel to anyone experiencing orthopedic problems.

I had injured myself while away and sent reports of mri and notes of ortho surgeon I saw while away to Dr Dr Weitzel , who responded with his views without delay . When I saw him 3 weeks later, upon my return , was thorough in reviewing mri results ( looking at the images himself not just the report ) and examining my knee as well clearly explaining his diagnosis and options for treatment . He listened carefully to the symptoms I reported .

Dr. Weitzel was recommended to me by my physical therapist after I dislocated my knee. I received excellent care and had very successful surgery. Dr. Weitzel is outstanding!

Had some fluid in my knee which was preventing me for daily activities. Pain was a plus 10. Dr Weitzel did a awesome job with diagnosing and treatment . I am very happy with his services and care. A go to MD for sure..

Dr Weitzel has always been thorough in explaining his diagnosis. It’s reassuring to understand the diagnosis in layman’s words. He showed me the xrays and explained pertinent details. I was very pleased with his expertise and caring nature.

Since I was a kid, doctors were never able to figure out what was going on with my knees. They ended up getting so bad I could not walk one day. I tried a different doctor, awful. Went to Dr. Weitzel and he figured out what was going on - it was something that does not show up on scans. He did surgery on both my knees and was able to see what was wrong, and fixed the problem. Dr Weitzel and the team at BSSC is amazing. They did a great job on my knee and I was on the slopes skiing within 6 weeks! I would highly recommend him and his team!!

Great ortho Doc with excellent skills and bedside manner…..correctly diagnosed me after two other misdiagnosed my knee.

I'm writing this four years after having had the pleasure of being treated by Dr. Paul Weitzel. In college I had multiple meniscus tears up until it had completely torn free and folded itself over inside my knee as months passed seeing numerous doctors, all of which had no interest in helping me. Thankfully, New England Baptist was happy to order me an MRI and there were concerns my meniscus would have to be removed with all the time I had lost putting weight on it while trying to get help. Dr. Weitzel booked me the same week as our first appointment for surgery early morning before his already scheduled appointments. I woke up from my arthroscopy with the news that he was able to salvage what was left and reattach it. Because of Dr. Weitzel and the team, I have complete functionality and had regained full quality of life after months of PT. That to me is priceless. This year I had another arthroscopy and Dr. Schena who had treated me, checked on my meniscus and said it looked great, even after I had returned to full activity prior. They made me feel like I was being heard, rather than everyone else who had told me I was wrong. I would highly recommend them both and will be forever grateful.

Stay away from this guy Weitzel he ruined my shoulder with no recourse for me, even a revision surgery could not fix the damage her did to my shoulder. he turned a simple small rotator cuff tear on my shoulder to a nightmare which can not be corrected, stay as far away as you can. I give him negative five star.

Dr. Weitzel made me whole again with 2 different shoulders within 4 years. He tells it like it is and the patient has a full part in all visits. He is the best I've had.

I have seen Dr. Weitzel and his staff for over ten years for multiple issues, shoulder as well as knees. Satisfaction is complete always. I feel listened to , taken care of with a well thought out plan and physically better after it’s carried out!

I like him..he did a great job on my left knee..now I am going to the other one next month..

He is absolutely incredible. Never met someone so thoughtful, compassionate, and professional. I've had two surgeries with him and have absolutely no complaints. Very easy to schedule appointments (and for my more recent surgery when it became more urgent he was able to move my surgery to 2 days after I called), explains conditions well, invested in his patients, and spends an adequate amount of time explaining things. Truly incredible

I am a patient of Dr. Wietzel, 6 months, I fracture my collar bone. He did not do surgery right away. At 8 weeks of me complaining of severe pain, muscle tightness, numbness. I found out it was delayed. He never ordered a c.t. so 6 months later after being sent to p.t. I need surgery!!!!! I have suffered for 6 months. Do not go to this Dr. Run away as fast as you can, please.

Can't say enough about Dr. Weitzel and his staff. All were very professional and I was actually talked out of surgery the first time. The pain grew worse and I elected to have the tear in my knee taken care of along with some arthritis. The surgery was quick and I was walking in a few days. Its been two weeks and the pain is gone. A few more weeks of healing and I'm back to the gym. Would refer Dr Weitzel without question.

I would never ever send anybody to this doctor. He completely destroyed my life at the age of 38. He told me that I needed an osteotomy procedure. He told me it would take 6 months to heal. Before surgery I could walk, I could even run, climb, but I did have pain but it was controlled with a little pain medication & antiinflammatories. The day of the operation, I walked into New England Baptist Hospital on my own 2 feet & I came out a cripple. I spent 2 weeks in the hospital for pain control alone. Then after 6 months of hell, my knee was incredibly worse. He took an x-ray that day in his office. He said, I need to get back in there. I said when? He said tomorrow morning. I thought that was very odd. After he went in the second time it was even worse. I spent 3 years in a wheelchair & 1 full year on crutches. Just to get some kind of movement. After all was said & done, he look at me in his Waltham, Ma. office & said. That osteotomy procedure we did. It didn't work, you need a knee replacement. I went to 8 other specialists to see if they could give me my life back. They all said the same thing. That doctor should never have done that procedure to you & as a result. My leg is out of alignment by 2mm, I have a severe limp & severe pain in my left knee for the rest of my life. I was a police officer forced into retirement at the ripe old age of 38. Collar bone fracture into several pieces.

Dr. Weitzel has put me back together again several times over. He is one of there best doctors I know with an impeccable bedside manner.
