Dr. Paul Jeffrey Warden

I was in so much pain when I went in but I’m so glad I was referred to Dr. Warden for treatment. He and his staff were so friendly and had me in and out in no time. Would definitely recommend if you have an impacted tooth that needs to be extracted.

I was referred to Dr. Warden at Middle TN Oral and Implant Surgery for extractions of 3 teeth (failed crowns). I had a few questions about the procedure, but it was clear Dr. Warden wanted to start right away and not explain the process. After being administered Twilight Sedation and local injections, there was very little time before he started. Not the typical waiting 10 minutes for my gums to get numb. I assume he thought since I had the I.V. of the other sedative I wouldn't feel what he was doing nor remember it. I was in extreme pain as he cut my gums and started the extractions. I raised my hand and vocalized the extreme pain, which was ignored. I raised my right hand while again vocalizing the issue, and the nurse pushed my hand down. Now even more frustrated, I raised it again, and this time the nurse/assistant shoved my arm down. I realized they didn't care what I felt, they were just going to continue regardless of what I was experiencing. I felt the Dr. finish the stitches, the gave me gauze and I was out of the chair. I ad a mandatory follow up the next morning. I voiced my complaint and wanted the Dr. to be aware of my experience, and I welcomed his explanation of why he ignored my alerts about the extreme pain, and having my hand & arm shoved down. I was told they were sorry about the experience, and they'd let the Dr. know I wanted to speak with him. I never heard from him. By far the worst dental experience I've had. Some people may have had a good experience at this center, but I wasn't one of them. Maybe Dr. Hardison has a different approach. I'd never recommend anyone to Dr. Warden, in fact I'd say be safe and steer clear of this guy. My daughter came to Dr Warden to have 4 wisdom teeth extracted. I don’t normally do anything but come here to write good reviews but unfortunately I can not do that in this case. My college age daughter did fabulous after surgery and was healing at a good rate. She had experienced normal discomfort post-procedure but became alarmed when the pain began to get much worst 5th day post op. She could not eat much during the day and ibuprofen, pain medicine, ice and following post op instructions for saline rinses were not relieving anything. She also started to notice shooting pains on one side of her jaw. She was calling me at 2-3 am crying in pain. I suggested she call and go in early for post op follow up. She went in and Dr Warden said that everything looked great. That night she had a lot of pain yet again and couldn’t imagine returning to classes in that much pain. She went in a second and third day in a row to let him know that she believed something was wrong in regards to how she was feeling. Second day he stated to her “your mouth looks like it did yesterday” , the third visit he didn’t even look in her mouth. He spoke to her from the door and shut the door as she explained her symptoms. His support staff was very nice and polite. They worked her in for all of the follow ups and we admire their kindness. Yes, my daughter is 22 and young as most people are while undergoing wisdom teeth extraction. Perhaps he made a misguided decision that she was seeking narcotics which was actually not the case. She wanted to know why she was numb and was concerned that this pain would continue. His demeanor and his empathy were far below normal standards. Shutting the door in a patients face and not listening is not the best route for future patient visits or for any referrals. I have 3 more teenagers at home that are also ready for this procedure and they will not be seeing him. As an RN and a mother of 5 I have witnessed good bed side manner and bad. I have seen many doctors with empathy and that listen to their patients. He is not one of those doctors. We sought another oral surgeon and our family dentist who confirmed she had dry socket and complications from her previous history of TMJ. She is now recovering nicely and can return to school. They were able to use gauze with a numbing agent to help her pain (not systemic and nonnarcotic drug therapy), so that she could study and take care of her young daughter. Very professional, caring and friendly staff, and in my case no pain after surgery and swelling is almost gone in less than 18 hours. Highly recommend Dr Warden.

Concern was for generating the most revenue in the least amount of time! One experience was with my father; the other with my wife. Both were simple extractions. However, the experiences were pay me, slam, bam, thank you sir, now leave. The practice was obviously studied by an Industrial Engineer, and was very time efficient. However, the experience was extremely non-professional or patient centered.

Dr Warden and his staff are extremely professional and friendly. Had surgery yesterday and swelling is almost gone after 24 hours and zero pain without taking any medications. The staff is cordial and outs you at ease and most of all, saw me st the exact appointed time.

I have a rare disease and everyone kept sending me to Vanderbilt who put me off 7 years and almost in the process killed me. Dr Warden not only took my mast cell disease head on he's done a fantastic job with my oral surgery in an OR setting and his office staff I can't tell you who I love more! I can't say how much I truly recommend Dr Warden. He's been a life saver for me.

Dr.Warden is an arrogant A-hole. He messed up on 1 of the 4 wisdom teeth i had pulled and wont do anything about it. when i went in for my checkup he didnt ask me any questions, he showed me how to clean out the sockets and showed me the door, i was there for 3 minutes tops. It has been a month and 2 days and still this one tooth has an open wound and still gives me toothaches that eventually turn into headaches and keeps me up all night.
