Paul B Sytman

I have been going to Dr. Sytman for 2-3 years following the retirement of my former doctor. Dr. Sytman has been excellent. Just the low-key, knowledgeable conservative doctor I value and whose type has been keeping me alive foe 82 years.

My father-in-law has been a patient for years and is in the hospital at the end of his life. I wanted to talk to Dr. Sytman for 5 minutes regarding an important, urgent issue as my father in law needs to be transported to a hospice type facility. He WILL NOT talk to you--that is his policy. I have never heard of such a thing that he will not waste 5 minutes of his precious time to talk to a family member of a dying long time patient. I cannot comment on his care, wisdom or judgement--but that would be enough for me to look for another doctor. There was no miscommunication, I called multiple times over 3-4 days to no avail. I know doctors are busy but this does not seem right at all to me.

Communication and follow through issues. Not dependable. Bedside manner/customer relation skills lacking.

Dr. Sytman has been my doctor for the last decade. He has been excellent in every regard. Would recommend him to anyone that's looking for a great internist and general practitioner.

He seems very uninterested in his patient. He provides the absolute mininum of care; one of those doctors that one would rate a 2 out of 10. Not a top notch physician by any standards.
