Dr. Paul Ewald Rober

Horrible experience. Never in my life have I ran into a doctor that would not let you speak. And would talk over you . Tell you he is going to do surgery on you . With no further explanation. It was like it's my way or the highway , Do not waste your time !

There is definitely something wrong with this guy and he should not be caring for anyone I wouldn't recommend this doctor to my worst enemy

The best urologist in town! Very courteous, knowledgeable and really helpful in explaining your condition. Shows respect to all patients. Great staff!!!

Dr. Rober took care of my kidney stone and scheduled surgery immediately. I was well taken care of and even though I had a stent and it took a couple of days of discomfort to get through the passing of the stone he did a good job of taking care of me and checking on me.

A complete Quack ! Went to him for low testosterone after 5 months of giving me the runaround he finally said he couldn't give me TRT until I had a circumcision ! Do not waste your time with this Doctor if you could call him that !

I'm sure this Dr is knowledgeable and is good in his field, so I can't knock him for that part. But as far as listening and communication goes, he has much room for improvement. Part of this is CHI, as a whole, not communicating to each other. But most of it is him... If he asks you a question, you had better answer in 10 words or less, because you get cut off. Don't even bother trying to add info on signs and symptoms that you feel could be important in regards to the issues you are having. He won't hear it. You'd be lucky to even get those earlier 10 words in. You'll also have to wait nearly 2 weeks AFTER blood tests are in just for you to go all the way to his office for him to tell you that you have been referred out to a different specialist (this was what was needed, but what a waste of time and half a day for something that could be done over the phone). I'm sure Drs are used to patients going on and on about things that are irrelevant, and they do need to cut people off at times. But have some tact in doing so, and also make sure it actually is irrelevant. He won't let you speak at all. He speaks in test results. If it isn't on his computer, don't bother. Terrible. He does not care about your health and wastes your time. He likes to play games and does not respect patients at all. He does mot follow up with test results and is extremely lazy. Avoid him and save your health.

Paul Rober is a childish adult. He has a horrible attitude towards patients and his profession in general. My guess is, he is a competent surgeon although some past patients dispute that but probably overall competent. He refuses to take patients seriously beyond protocols his Business enforces... If there is a misunderstanding, his employees feel free to degrade the patients dispostion, talk down to them and to be in general dismissive, if you reply to this horrible treatment, they simply say you act out unprovoked. This is like prolonged adolescence and it runs up and down the establishment. The manager has the worst type of personality imaginable for a manager on a social basis.

This doctor has a very nice bed side manner along with most of his staff. He takes all the necessary tests to try to diagnose to the best of his knowledge and from the tests. AND, best of all, if he sees he can't help, he Will get you to a facility with the equipment that can surpass what St Joseph's offers. ????

"How was your experience with Dr. Rober?" Not good. Was treated for infection several times. Infection returned each time after two to three weeks. Treated for excessive need to urinate using 'Green Light Lazer' surgery technique which made no difference to my condition.

If zero was a rate that's what this office would receive. So my son had a appointment for a minor surgery, scheduled 2 weeks prior. We arrive for the 8:00 appt ay 7:45. An hour later we are notified that they don't have the supplies!!! Of course after i paid my co pay. We left and as were are walking out we meet the nurse. Said that she had the supplies now now but he's missed his appt time and would have to be worked in!!! 2 1/2 hours later, we are still waiting. What a joke!!! Would not recommend at all. Not impressed. Waited months for my appt only to be told it would “probably go away on its own”. Unprofessional and horrible bedside manner. I would never go back to him.

Not at all impressed with Dr. Rober. He performed a procedure on my prostate using a laser and assured me that my condition would be improved even if he had to do the procedure a second time. 60 days after the first procedure I had a "brief" follow up. I told him that my condition had not improved as expected. He said he would have to use his scope to see if he had been to conservative using the laser. He said the scope was not operational and would contact me for a later appointment. This never happed and several calls to his office were ignored. Very disappointed with what I went thru and his unprofessional results.

Treats patients like ATM machines

In a one week period, I left 3 messages for the person who makes referral appts. My doctor suggested I go to this facility. Not one of my calls has been returned. Guess they don’t need my business and I certainly wouldn’t want them treating me if this is how they treat new patients.

Dr. Rober was insensitive, insulting, and dismissive of the problems I was having. He said that maybe I was just a "shy guy" or had stress problems, and could get tests if I wanted them and would make me "feel" better. He offered no thoughts beyond that about what could be causing my problems. Well, I did a little more homework and found out that a medicine I'm on, which was noted in my chart, can cause the symptoms I've been having. Not common symptoms, but there are multiple reports including a peer reviewed report on the issue. He never asked if I was taking any medications, and apparently couldn't be bothered to look at my chart. It was just easier for him to make demeaning and incorrect assumptions about my personality after talking to me for 5 minutes. I really like Dr. Rober. He was polite, professional and knew exactly what I needed. He has also been very thorough with all the tests that I needed to have done. He explained everything that had to be done and made sure that I was the one to decide what I wanted to do. I've always had doctors who gave me one option and told me what to do. Dr. Rober was actually concerned with my opinions. I also felt very confident with him preforming my surgery. I'm very glad I had him as my doctor. I really like Dr. Rober. Dr. Rober was very un professional to my wife. She had a stent put in because of a kidney stone. While doing so he punchered her kidney! She had to be drugged into unconscienceness for four days because of the pain. He came into the hospital to visit her in spandex biker shorts like he was late for a spinning class. She woke up enough to talk to him and when asked how much pain she was in she said 9. He replied with " well you look comfortable" and "I don't know where the pain is coming from".

Dr. Paul Rober operated on me to remove a complicated hydrocele. He said the post-surgery swelling of the testicle would take a substantial amount of time to return to its normal size. Indeed, it did; however, I have now recovered and I feel like a new man. I appreciate Dr. Rober’s in-depth expertise and his straightforward, warm manner.

Very rude Dr. that needs to work on his "bed side" manner. Would not believe me when I told him I had recurring prostate issues based on the fact that I'm "too young" to have prostate issues. I'm 42 and have nothing to gain by lying about something like that. He had his mind made up as to what was wrong with me. Gave me a 30 day supply of antibiotics to take....never heard of doing that for something like this. Definitely would not recommend this guy and I hope he recognizes who I am on here..

I recently had an appointment with Dr. Rober and found great satisfaction and relief with his care. I am now on the mend and am so grateful that he was able to treat me. I was especially appreciative of his kind office staff. I would highly recommend Dr. Rober.

By far the worst doctor I have ever been to. I had dr Kevin art who left Kentucky one. Was transferred to Dr Rober. Talking to Dr Rober was difficult. It did not seem like her understood a basic urologic disease failed to examine or order appropriate tests and when you questioned he did not listen. Save yourself time and money and see someone else.

When he first walked in i felt attacked.. who sent you here??? also needs to work on his people skills .. would not recommend. i came for help.. He did not come across as wanting to help.

The office and nursing staff were exceptional - I did almost no waiting at all in this office. Very refreshing compared to hour long waits in other doctor's offices. Dr. Rober, not so sure about. Not much info, palpated the area of concern for about 2 seconds and set up tests. Don't know if he felt nothing or something - he didn't say. One of the tests when google has scary implications so I think he could and should have explained it to me.
