About Dr. Paul Jeffrey Roach
Reviews for Dr. Paul Jeffrey Roach
Short wait. Nice doctor. However, he didn't address the main reason why I was referred to him instead talked about a different problem which was addressed by my primary care provider

I have been seeing Dr. Roach (biannually or annually) since April 1, 2001 when he did my first Stent Implant. He has always been most informative to both myself and my wife. He's always the same - thorough and professional, always listens and explains everything, and you always feel a warm and personable connection.
The staff there and Doctor really cares I know I've been in and out of so many hospitals but here I feel like somebody actually cared for me that made me feel better all by itself
Dr Roach and his whole office staff made me feel very welcomed. I feel Dr Roach listened to me and was clear on my plan of care. Definitely would recommend.
I went into my first visit to this cardiologist with much anxiety and apprehension. My initial reactions were immediately calmed upon meeting Dr Roach. He is kind and explained my results in easy to understand layman’s terms. He was thorough and took his time asking me if I understood or if I had any questions. His genuine concern for me is something I take to heart. He is a diamond in the rough. I will recommend him and his staff to all my friends. Thank you Dr Roach.

prompt on appointment time and very knowledgeable about my numerous health issues
Dr. Roach has been my cardiologist for 15 years and has managed my significant CAD excellently. He is an outstanding communicator and always explains any concerns I may have. He has my complete trust and I would highly recom-mend him to anyone who wants a interventionist cardiologist.

I have been with my cardiologist since 1995 when i had a "mild" heart attack. He has now been with the Seton (ASCENSION) Heart Institute for many years now. I have always received top notch care from anyone in that group who helped me. Calls are answered/returned promptly and graciously. Staff members are all friendly and efficient. I can't say enough good about Dr Roach. He CARES about his patients. He listens to you and is mindful of your overall health-not just your heart. I have to think that the other doctors in the group are equally competent and caring. I highly recommend this group of doctors. Absolutely outstanding in every way.
We arrived on time but had to wait almost an hour to be taken back to do the blood draw. Then, waited another hour between the blood draw and the actual radiology procedure for the lab work to result. It would have been nice if we'd been given any kind of indication that there would be such a long delay or additional wait times, but no one spoke to us unless they had to. Dr. Roach and his staff take good care of me. Could not be more pleased.
I chose Dr. Roach because he is a colleague. As a retired neurologist, I consider myself a connoisseur of physicians. Dr. Roach is a compassionate and superb clinician. I recommend him without reservations.

I am a deeply appreciative patient of Dr Paul Roach. Throughout many years I have greatly benefited from his extensive knowledge and expertise. During these difficult times I have piece of mind knowing I am under the care of a board certified cardiologist who applies his knowledge and skills in caring for his patients.

Dr Roach and his staff are great professionals. Knowledgeable, caring and very efficient.
Dr. Roach, and his nurse, were both very thorough during my exam. He discussed my test results in detail and reassured me that there are no issues with my heart that need treatment. I highly recommend Dr. Roach, as well as, the other team members I have met during my recent cardiac tests.
I had kind good experience with dr Paul roach on January 14, 2020 but yesterday when I went to see him he act like he did not want to check me out I told him my right arm numb he told me I need it to see a orthopedic doctor so he really did not help me in January 14,2020 because he did sent me do a stress test or a MRI so he told one his staff members it’s not my heart so really going on with these doctor I see that dr Tamek LATTA send me in she about same as he his I did had a stroke or heart attack after my father pass away on October 30, 2020 I had kind good experience with dr Paul roach on January 14, 2020 but yesterday when I went to see him he act like he did not want to check me out I told him my right arm numb he told me I need it to see a orthopedic doctor so he really did … More

Standard visit for DONALD in person with Dr. Roach. He is very communicative. Did his office call today to reduce dose on Eliquis or was that Dr. Heinzman? Funny to get email to take survey, along with FOUR (2 yesterday, 2 today) emails to check notes from my visit. No NEW notes there! Only one from 2014.

Excellent doctor
Dr Roach found a major flaw in my medication that had left me permanently scarred
Dr. Roach was very thorough and patient and answered all our questions. The staff was very courteous and kind.
Unfortunately Dr Roach was called away for an emergency, but the nurse and PA who saw me did a great job. They were both very nice and professional.
I already have recommended Dr. Roach to my friends, and they as well as I since 2008 have been grateful for his care.
I am nervous on every visit w/ Dr The nurse talked to me to put me @ ease. Dr. Roach talked me about medications. I left w/ information to digest. Looking forward to outcome of test & plan of action for heart health maintenance. Dr. Roach comes highly recommended by Allison Ryan
Thank
Takes time to explain changes in medications, etc.. attempts to address and meet additional needs such as vaccines, screening.)
He is a very qualified cardiologist and will answer your questions when you ask them.
After an ECG by the nurse, Dr. Roach did not arrive into the tiny exam room for 45 minutes while he was in the hallway chatting with a friend of his. Then he felt my ankles and said, all ok. WTH? I am now seeing his former partner. He is a joke of a doctor and I wouldn't refer anyone to him ever.
Several Doctors at St. David's tried to get a handle on my afib. Only after a heart attack and going to Dr. Roach was it ever brought under control. I credit Dr. Roach with saving my life, twice.
I was a patient 25 years had many E.R. admissions for arrhythmia. In 2016 was prescribed Metoprolol. During a convention in Rhode Island was hospitalized with heart rate of 30 bpm & treated by a cardiologist from Boston General, who said the low heart rate was a reaction to the Metoprolol; to discontinue it. Returning home, I saw Dr. Roach who prescribed a weaker beta blocker. He evaluated lab report he had ordered & referred me for a colonoscopy. Using the same lab report Dr. Roach had, they asked if he had mentioned I have severe anemia, which Dr. Roach later admitted he had overlooked. Months later I was again hospitalized. Dr. Hong referred me to Texas Oncology to find the cause for the anemia. It was found to be Stage IV cancer that metastasized to the bone marrow and lymph nodes. I have to wonder if without the 4 month delay in diagnosis, that the cancer might not have metastasized. So I found a new cardiologist who implanted a pacemaker, no more arrhythmia.
Neglectful and unprofessional. Dr Roach did a heart cath for my mother. He never introduced himself to us prior to the procedure. I was asked to wait in the surgical waiting room during the procedure so Dr Roach could come out and talk to me afterwards and let me know how things went and his findings. Dr Roach never bothered to come out and talk to me. Two hours passed and a hospital volunteer asked who I was waiting on. I gave my mother's name and he informed me that she had been back in her room for over 30 minutes and Dr Roach was no longer in the hospital. We asked several times that afternoon, night and the following morning to speak to Dr Roach since he never followed up with us. We even let the nurse know that even just a phone call would be nice if he wasn't able to come speak to us in person. TO THIS DAY WE HAVE NEVER HEARD FROM THE MAN. No post op report from him, he never checked on my mother and he never made any effort to reach out to answer any of our questions. Following her discharge, less than 24 hours after the procedure, Mom ended up having post surgical complications and had to be readmitted to the hospital. Again, we asked to see and/or speak to Dr Roach but he completely neglected my mother, a patient that he operated on. Neglectful and unprofessional. Dr Roach did a heart cath for my mother. Had a check up for my heart today & I was really nervous going in. Dr. Roach was personable, listened and really made me feel like he cared. He "tells it like it is", just like the nurse/techinican who performed my EKG described. I feel much less anxious going forward & am so glad to have found a cardiologist I feel comfortable with. I have been a patient of Dr Roach for 10 years. He was the one that put in my first stent at 3am after my heart attack 10 years ago at age 52. He's an excellent surgeon (I've had 4 different stent placements, one of which was to re-stent an artery that had become clogged after 9 years). He's a smart guy, will listen to you, and I've trusted him with my life for the last 10 years. He also helped me find a surgeon to help fix my electrical problems in my heart. I'd cetrtainly recommend him .
He got my blood pressure to well in the normal range after 3 decades of other doctors trying many, many different medicines, wow!

I have been seeing Dr Roach for over five years and found him to be attentive, knowledgeable, friendly, supportive and informative. In short, he has been all you want a Doctor to be.
This doctor will have you waiting in his exam room for over 1 hour. He's done it to me 3 times and his office staff is rude.

I thank Dr. Roach so much for giving my family the last 8 years of life with my father. Without his care, and wisdom, we would not have had nearly as much time with him. Dr. Roach was very much respected by my father. Although I personally have not met Dr. Roach, my dad was very much impressed with his services.
