I am a older pain patient for last 30 years. Nerve damage and chronic pain. Wife retired we moved from New England to Georgia. Tried to get an appointment with Dr. Mefferd but with no reason won’t see me. He gets his receptionist to call to tell me not man enough to talk to me and tell me why. What he advertises is a lie. If he specialized in back pain spine etc… he should at least tell me why. I was with my doctor for years no problems with treatments why didn’t he call my doctor? Makes wonder he wants well patients.’SMH

I was a patient of Dr McNeil, he retired and now Dr Mefferd provides my medical needs. He is caring and makes you feel better with your conditions, he knows what he's doing.

Dr. Mefford talked more than he listened. After a quick conversation without looking at history or imaging, he recommended a series of three treatments, requiring three shots per visit over a six weeks. (@$600 copay x 3 = total $1800) There were ZERO RESULTS. At the third treatment (fourth appointment) when asked about continued severe chronic back pain, rather than discuss the failed results, patient was told to make a next appointment to talk about it. Really? Save your money and time and find a doctor who will listen and look for solutions.

I gave up, but Dr Mefford was determined to get the insurance company pay for an MRI. I’m glad that he did because the MRI showed that I had a torn rotator cuff. His staff took great concern about my pain and worked with Dr Mefford in getting the MRI. Dr. Mefford is one doctor that I will go to if I need a Pain Management doctor again. I wish he was an Orthopedic Surgeon and could fix my rotator cuff.

Doc Mefferd is SIMPLY THE BEST!Great & personable,knowledgeable,& able to talk "common" when the need arises!

He lets people take cups home for urine and bring them in when they come I’m going to report them if they continue

I have been going to The Physicians for over 20 years. They all have been nothing but kind and knowledgeable throughout the years. In the many years I have been going, the whole group has been friendly, helpful and professional in my time of need. What a fantastic team which includes, Amy Hartline, all nurses and all front desk staff. Thank you for everything you've done for me!

I LOVE doctor Mefferd. He is thorough and super gentle with procedures. I will never see anybody else!

My only suggestion would be to put some music in the procedure room! haha! great service and great team!

I have been seeing Dr. Mefferd for about ten years now. He was the third doctor that I had seen about my issues. I honestly feel that Dr. Mefferd is the best doctor in Atlanta. I trust and ask for his opinion on everything to do with my body. Severe pain is no joke. It really takes at your quality of life. And I believe Dr. Mefferd has the best intentions of helping me get through each day. I really consider him family at this point. And the nurses and front desk ladies are the nicest people.

Dr Mefford is a wonderful doctor. Had been suffering w my back for a couple years. Felt complete relief as soon as soon as he put injection in my back. Lasted a year. I’m back for more! Thanks Dr. Mefford!!

Dr. Mefferd and his staff have provided exceptionally genuine and loving care and concern. He has treated, prescribed, and referred appropriate actions to reduce my war and auto accident-related pain. I'm pleased to highly recommend him.

I visited Dr. Mefferd upon request of my insurance's lawyer since they requested that I have a second opinion in regards to a recommended surgery and a back pain stimulator. When I visited him at his office for this second opinion, Dr. Mefferd only asked me a few questions and neglected to review my MRI's even after I asked if he would like to review them. This visit only lasted five minutes and it was very obvious that he was working with the insurance to delay treatment. Be Careful!

Paul Medford has one of the worse cases of "The God complex". Every appointment I would dread weeks in advance because I knew I would be crying and begging for help. Sneers and condensation. This man Enjoyed watching me beg and cry for pain relief.At the begining of each appointment I asked, is there a new procedure, surgery, injection, something anything that would help me? No. Fact- there are. Nerve root injections. I caught him in other glaring obvious lies. Do not trust your care to this ma

Not sure what his office receptionists are doing, but when you make an appointment and they cancel it the day beforehand without cause or explanation over email, it reflects very poorly on the doctor.

I came to him almost four years ago in horrible pain. My back, hips and neck. He was so very kind from the very start. He listens to you as you sit and talk to him about your pain and when you have finished he will work with you to help you find relief! I have only been to one other doctor, that comes close to his compassion. If you are sincere with him, he's the same with you. I will have to say-I love and trust him
