I have been seeing Dr. Fox for over a decade. I recently moved to another state and had massive problems finding someone to get my medications prescribed through my lousy insurance. These are medications that I have been on for 20+ years and when I go off of them I am bedridden, can’t keep food down, am completely nonfunctional and unable to work. I asked Dr. Fox if he would see me on a Saturday as my 9-to-5 job did not permit me to do otherwise and come in during the week like I normally do and he just said flat out no. He said that he could e-prescribe it for me if he was set up to do that but he was not in that he wasn’t going to either. Well thanks a lot. Thanks a lot is all I have to say for a patient that you’ve had for over a decade and know darn good and well what happens when they go through sudden and abrupt withdrawls from stopping the medication you prescribe that they are physically mentally and emotionally dependent on. A great physician and a compassionate therapist. I would rec Dr. Fox to anyone who needs a seasoned doctor that isn't in your face, aggressive and gets people.

He diagnosed me with bipolar and made a bipolar joke like 2 minutes later. He was my first psychiatrist and I was honestly mostly very confused about if this was how all doctors are like. He was very poor at explaining the different type of drugs and just lists the side effects orally and does not provide any written instructions. He is also very condescending and snarky. I was having a lot of side effects because of my meds and he told me that most people did not experience that. thanks man....

I'm still in shock how unprofessional he is. He would ask me a question and then talk through me, not letting me answer, and then just criticize. It's as if he doesn't understand how to help people at all. I found him through my insurance provider and he became so angry that I needed to reschedule my appointment that he actually hung up on me! I have never seen any doctor so unprofessional. He needs a psychiatrist more than me I'm afraid to say. I'm still in shock how unprofessional he is. After seeing him for two years, I decided to go cold turkey with my meds because dealing with him is too much of a hassle. Usually, I would see him for 15 minutes and then get an RX for my meds and 4 refills. After my refills run out, I would see him again for a checkup and get more refills. The biggest problem that I had with him is that getting a hold of him is harder than getting a hold of someone at the DMV. It's a waste of time calling and leaving messages because obviously he doesn't check them and he will NOT call you back which is borderline negligence. I would have to keep on calling him until he picked up. I neither have the time nor patience to play phone tag with him. He also screwed up my refills with my pharmacy. I know he might be busy and I am a very low-maintenance patient, but dealing with his lack of professionalism isn't worth his services.
